Mick had the beard in 1980, as on the cover of Emotional Rescue. Keith seems cool albeit high, tho he was supposedly off dope by then. Maybe this is during his transition to alcoholism. Great footage, they are so forthcoming, thanks for posting!
For Keith, "off dope" just means he stopped doing heroin, but he could have been on weed, pills, alcohol or any combinaison of the three. He didn't really quit drugs until very recently.
I've seen a picture of Brian Jones and Mick rubbing faces both with full beards from the 1960s, but this is in video and in color 1980s. Both Keith and Mick must drink one beer a week to stay so skinny

I loved this show! I was still a teenager living in North Jersey when it aired. This must be around the time they filmed the video for Waiting on a Friend which featured Peter Tosh!

neither did I , I knew he had one once in the movie "ned Kelly but never seen it..) and what's funnier is the fact he is always so clean shaven that I 've always thought he was quite beardless..!
I thought I read somewhere that Mick’s beard isn’t real. But to try and hide his identity. Seems like if it was real we’d have seen some pics of him with it a work in progress.
If you've ever taken or been around anyone who's on heroin, you'd know that Keith doesn't look like he "just shot up". And for the record, Keith never "mainlined" or injected heroin directly into a vein, which the phrase "shot up" generally connotes. He was a "skin popper", someone who injects intramuscularly.
