This is such a sweet song about the power of love. I never get tired of hearing it! This one really features Eric Carmen's really good rhythm guitar playing from the first pickup strums - Yum!
Clearly they all worshiped at the church of the Beatles. Superb songs, vocals and spirit. One of the best pop rock bands to ever come out of this country. IMHO!
Linda canción. Eric Carmen dejo un legado de canciones tan bellas como las melodías. Por sus canciones el fue un Romántico... Tan bello. Ya estas con Dios. Nos, veremos, pronto.... RIP Eric Carmen 🕊️❤️❤️🕊️😢 Beautiful song. Eric Carmen left a legacy of songs as beautiful as the melodies. Because of his songs he was a Romantic... So beautiful. You are now with God. We will see each other soon.... RIP Eric Carmen 🕊️❤️❤️🕊️😢
I’m surprised this wasn’t a bigger hit for the Raspberries. It hit all the right pop/rock music built for radio play. Catchy tune everyone can sing along with, right “singles” length for airplay, etc. I grew up listening to Top 40 on the “big blower” - WLS-AM out of Chicago. I don’t remember this song getting airtime in the 70’s? But I’m enjoying it now! Thank you for posting!
I guess we may never know exactly why Wally and Eric couldn’t get along, it sure would have been great to at least get a few more years out of the band even if just live performances. They could do real well with several different kinds of songs unlike many bands and that would have kept them relevant for years. I love their hard rockers like Go All The Way, I Wanna Be With You and Tonight, but they could do so good with something like this also, and Eric could do the ballads better than most. So many great songs from all four of their albums. It sure was a treat for them to come together for what was probably the last times.
It’s OK Fred I played a lot of music with your brother in high school and beginning of college We wrote a lot of music together I always told him we could’ve been the next Simon and Garfunkel
