Give her a small pillow or something to sleep on. I had to put something on my bathroom cupboard because eventually my oldest cat started wanting to sleep up there. Life of a cat parent I suppose.

I live in a really humid climate (with the added bonus of No AC at home) and I wanna recommend a closet dehumidifier for protecting your lolita! it works amazingly and they have them for dirt cheap at Daiso, plus it smells like roses! I think there's an Arm and Hammer equivalent that is like the Daiso ones that prolly doesn't smell like roses, but it still does the job well!!

I haven’t finished the video yet, but I’m wondering if you rent your apartment? I feel like so many people who rent struggle with storage because they’re not allowed to mount anything to the walls.

@@ChiisaiTenshii it definitely looks like a standard pax wardrobe system. The doors look like bergsbo. You can pick what’s inside the pax wardrobes, so this person has elected for multiple clothing rails at different heights, with one shelf in between to make it feel more like compartments.

I live in a dry climate and I keep my natural fiber clothes in bags. Moths are common were I live so I do it to keep them from the associated damage.

I'm Jenny, with my dresses and stuff hanging on the back of my door! 😂 It's actually pretty secure. The hooks are kinda deep (?) if that makes sense, so I can hang a fair amount of stuff on them. The hooks are probably at their limit, but I also don't feel like expanding my wardrobe much further beyond what I already have. I usually keep my door open so that the dresses are protected from sun damage (and also my cats, who love to heck around with my wardrobe.) My room is both weirdly shaped and kinda small, so I don't have much room for a rack. But I am looking at doing a re-org of the basement so that I can set up some kind of clothes rack down there. Thank you for the roast!! 😂 I also like the rating method.

Dust bags are literally used to keep dust off of garments. They're often open at the bottom to allow air flow.

Yes! Finally someone said it! I don’t understand the unanimous lolita freak out when they pop up in someone’s closet. It’s not like they’re airtight sealed plastic boxes, they’re just… covers. They also work great for lint and pet hair if your cat hangs around your closet. If humidity is your concern, then getting a dehumidifier or an AC system with that feature will do wonders. I still have to find a single moldy dress from plastic cover storage 😅

Storing clothes in bags is sometimes just really necessary depending on where you live. Definitely put them in bags if you live somewhere that is prone to having clothes eating insects in your homes too.

Wait. People gave you negativity over protecting your clothes? Did those ppl forget that these dresses come in the same protective plastic garment bags when they're shipped out. I know some are open at the bottom and some are zip up kind that are entirely closed up. I love these bags, both for dresses and even more so for cosplay 😍

😂 I forgot that some people have an issue with storing lolita in bags. (maybe I should have taken them out for this) I never had a problem and I’m in England. (I kept my lolita like that for over 10 years now.) It really depends on how dry your house/where you live. Moths are a bigger problem for me and garment bags protect. Also glitter is protected and it prevents colour transfers between dresses.

I actually have two closets in my room, so I can keep my normal clothes in one and lolita in the other, except my parents used my second closet for storage space for so many years that my lolita is surrounded by boxes of china and glassware that they never dealt with!

I'm not sure if it's for the same reason, but I keep all my dresses in big bulky dress bags from Target so sadly they are hidden, but this is because I have cats who love to go into my closets and sometimes Sid likes to pull things down from the hanger... just 'cause. I have a few longer dresses that aren't in bags that gets coooovered in cat hair as a result on the bottom and I just don't want to risk it on something so expensive. I don't want to have to google search 'can lint rollers mess up fancy lace' lol

My dresses are in bags for the same reason. My cats bat at things, and I'm certain the lace on a couple of dresses will get ruined if I leave them out. My bags zip closed and are plastic in one side and cloth on the other, so hopefully they breathe a bit better.

The jewelry cabinet at 17:06 is also a mirror. You can get them in a free standing unit too that has a nice drawer on the bottom if you can't mount it to the wall. I have one and it's ABSOLUTELY changed my jewelry game. I didn't have a good home for them before. I reccomend a mirror jewelry cabinet to anyone who has a lot of jewelry and not a lot of space.

This is so great. I would love to see a part 2! I just moved and I am trying to organize my lolita that makes sense. I would love more inspiration! The best thing I've done so far is buy a cover rack from Amazon. I spent some money on it, but it is SO sturdy and heavy duty! Definitely recommend!

Oh...now I'm reminded that door length mirrors with built in jewelry boxes exist. I need one (and to move my regular door length mirror to the bathroom so I can style the back of my hair neatly using it and the bathroom mirror). I love you channel, by the way. Im super grateful for this video! No kidding, its hard to live an apartment life and have so many hobbies and interests. Not only do i love lolita, i love cosplay too, my room looks like a mixture of random items and colours, but also like a museum where every corner is a different theme And same ikea rack, i think we all seem to agree it works XD Its nice to see that you are a human too (oh what a surprise) limited by all these earthly things. Sometimes its easy to forget that not everyone has those amazing big fancy wardrobes and apartments where every corner is neatly decorated. So i really appreciate both the inspiration, but also the grounding here :D

Another two tips on storing clothes in general! 1. You can fold most of your casual and normal clothes (I do it the konmari way) 2. Retail stores that are closing often sell displays and display pieces at a discounted price. Like mannequins, mannequin pieces, display racks, jewelry racks, display, cases, shelves, office furniture/organizers, cabinets and other hard to find stuff good for organizing. I know this because the Macy's I was working at closed down.

I would love to see more of this! Also, i use garnment bags for my lolita because i have a cat and live in a tiny house. Unfortunately, the closet is the only space for the box. :( Garnment bags and cedar balls seemed to be the best solution.

All of my lolita just lives in my normal closet, mixed in with the regular clothes. Except for the accessories and head pieces. Those are thrown in two drawers of a target plastic set of drawers. The rest of the drawers have videogames, and tool, and other random crap. My lolita set up is very enviable.

I'm mostly just starting out and my husband, baby and I live at my parents, so space is tight, I'm probably going to be storing my dresses in a way that would make some people cringe a bit when they all get here, but I know what I want when we get a home of our own. :3 So they'll be nicely organized then. I do have some really cute craft storage boxes to hold the accessories though.

I definitely want to see a part two! No one wants to see the bottom half of my closet right now because my cube organizer for shoes/big bags/etc. literally fell apart and now it looks like you could film a TLC show in there. (I will deal with it after Halloween... I swear...) Also, shameless protective garment bag user here - mine aren't even 100% clear. Oh, the horror! 😨

I store my lolita in plastic bags as shown in the last wardrobe.Very few humid climates compare to Lima's constant 100% humidity (esp. in winter). EVERYTHING moulds here. (toothbrushes, flour, honey, and of course, clothes esp. cotton clothes) so I better protect it from dirt and external humidity. Also humidifiers are not an option because homes are not insulated.... This last person may be in a similar situation!

My lolita wardrobe is in the spare closet/storage room in the living room. My socks, waist ties, wristcuffs, jewelry, and accessories are stored in little cardboard boxes.. 😐 (When me and my hubby find a new place, I hope to organize it better)

Thank you so much for making videos! You encouraged me to buy my first dress (i didnt buy it yet, but Im buying it today). I have never liked dresses but I cant resist from buying lolita dress! They are just ugh so pretty. As a trans boy I was scared to wear dresses even tho I knew a lot of people wont have a problem with it, but a lot of people in my country are really conservative so Im still scared NGL. Dress bags are specifically for keeping dresses nice so that they don't get stains or anything on them so I have no idea why people get heated over it cause it can actually be really good for expensive clothes that you want to stay protected and stay looking brand new

In my opinion the only time you should store your brand in plastic is when you live less than a km from the ocean, as the salt can be carried by a breeze, which will case clothes to fade and discolor if it lands on you clothes, that also why if your going near the ocean with brand that it's best to wash it as soon as you get home
