Ravens the fourth character i’m learning in this game. I have victor and azucena in eliminator, jin in vanquisher, thanks to you and these videos, i’m climbing way more efficiently then all of my previous characters as I am close to vanquisher with raven with about 15 less wins than i currently have on Jin who i just recently got to vanquisher. That’s a huge difference and i’m only getting better. This is my first tekken thank you for the help
I can't see myself ever using the heat dash. I'd much rather keep the smash with follow up in my pocket for comeback tools. Thanks for putting so much detail into this. It is appreciated.
sometimes it’s better to start a comeback with a heat launcher (ws3,2 for example) and burn the heat dash for a guess for game situation. Heat smash in combos isn’t great but then again you could force a guess for game situation with the heat smash anyway
I didn't know you could shadow step into heat smash, that's pretty nice. You can almost always tell good players are expecting to react to the low, so they remain standing. White hole is a nice extra mix.
This was super helpful! Had no idea landing clones recovered heat, makes the crouch dash hellsweep mix that much more potent. Also, great costumes. If you ever get tired of technical sensei vids and wanna do something fun you should showcase all your raven costumes lol
Awesome video per usual brotha 🥷🏾🔥!! Those Heat ws3,2 combos were dope asf too, I’ve been meaning to ask about how to maximize damage on with the move. Also funny thing, I was just saying to myself I’m gonna make a Blade custom of Raven without the jacket 🤣🤣. Only difference is I was gonna recolor Raven’s default outfit to all black and select the version without the gloves/gauntlets 😂
This was very helpful, especially the heat combos and what mix up options I have after hellfire clones. I've been abusing the slide since it worked up until I reached red ranks where the success rate is more inconsistent since good players are looking to parry or launch punish it. I need to utilize the teleport more often as well as SZ 2. thank you!
Awesome video as always! Man, I still struggle with the "ff3, ff3, ff4" combos. For some reason I'm not getting the ff4 to hit consistently. The "1, ff3, 1, ff3" part right after I can get just fine, but its just that first string that's getting on my nerves. Any tips or something I'm missing? Thanks!

My raven combos do like 60-70 dmg because I lack the execution. I haven't taken Raven online yet since I don't flow naturally with him yet. My King is in Orange. Should I focus on doing the higher damage combos? If not, what rank should I really be focusing on the better combos for? Do you have a video going through how to do the more difficult combos?
Oh I need this in my life. Been telling homies shadow is basically always -14 and golden shadow is -3. I don't really know how to use heart for raven though. So thanks. I can't for the life of me do combos that transition from ff3 into qcf12. Is it timing specific or something?
I love seeing sets of pro raven players such as you or the spanish player xocohard he seems very very fun with his flashy moves, combos and design but i think he is hard to play, i dunno i see you and he doesnt seem very hard, but is he really hard to play or he has an intermediate difficulty
escape parry, df3, side step in between string pressure - you can usually sidestep his flamingo jabs. Otherwise they’re +5 on block into more pressure. Side step it or high crush it

In the combo that start with ff3 (Ff3 ff3 ff4 1…) the jab dont connect 90 % of the times for me What am i doing wrong? It alwat gets off axes and drops
@@ajtheaj8103 thats exactly what i started to do Anyway most of the time this route reaches the wall and a lot of the times the harder route has to much wall carry and you lose on wall dmg
It’s not a just frame 💀 Edit: 10:16 - but you’re gonna have to learn the harder combos because sometimes they’ll be the difference between winning a round with a combo and a guess for game situation…
@@MaskedGuyCh lmaoooo yeah it’s definitely hard, again it is pretty important at higher levels to cash in on damage - but i do actually show easier combo routes and the combo guide shows easier routes which heat can be applied to, T!, dash, SZ 1+2, dash heat burst etc
@@imortalXsoul Oh for sure, but I like a good balance of damage and consistency, and instant CD1 is not consistent enough for me. Btw you didn't show this in your combo guide, but a good ws3,2 combo is db2,1 -> 4,1 -> 2,1~f~(CD)1,2. It's easy and does 66 damage, great wall carry too. Can change CD1,2 at the end to CD3 for floor break. I saw JDCR use this route and was like "why didn't I think of that?"
