The RAY Mic is fantastic. It works just as advertised. So glad I got it. I will seriously consider the Connect 2 because of just how good the RAY is.

Cool. Do I need to redo the entire process each time I start a recording or can I save the settings for the next session ?

All the setting are retained, even when you disconnect the interface. This applies to mute by distance for RAY--it will save the distance you programmed even when you power it off.

Will Lewitt do a firmware update where we can mute the connect6 without doing it in the control center?

Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to add a tactile mute via firmware for CONNECT 6. The only control is the knob and it already is maxed out in terms of its functionality.
