It’s not time to panic. The brain is so stubborn in creating struggles. Thank you Coach Daniel.

I love that you mentioned honesty today. I slept for 10 hours last night, after a few nights of not so good sleep. I woke up after and hour, and for the first time in ages there wasn't any hyoerarousal and eventually, I fell asleep again. And I genuinely felt like that was a breakthrough. Like some of that fear is going away. Today, I was happily going around my day, and a sleep thought popped into my head. And I realised that I was, in fact, still a little scared. But that's OK too. And the honesty with myself humbled me.The only way through is to go through, right?Bring it on. I'll be enjoying the National Geograpic documentaries I never had time for before. 😅

Going through the exact same struggle even more difficult this time after 7.5 months of 0 struggle. I literally thought I overcame this thing that I found the key, a mindset hack or something but no. We’re back.

Your channel and books have helped me so much and I am so grateful for that. I am currently reading a book called “overcoming unwanted intrusive thoughts” by Sally M Winston and Martin N Seif, and I feel it could be really beneficial for followers who are seeking help from you who experience unwanted negative thoughts that they get fixated on, or even ocd. It’s really eye opening how all of these things can be connected and there doesn’t have to be one label for it. It’s a very gentle approach book just like the ones you have written. Xoxo

Great video as always Daniel! Mirrors a lot of coach Alina’s teachings around being comfortable with discomfort and also having the goal of being okay with any outcome (which although tricky at times is realistic, unlike having sleep as a goal). Thank you!

Hi Daniel. thanks for the video. 6 months of insomnia hell / 4 months sleeping most of the time but with some fear every night / 2 months speedbump / 6 months sleeping almost every night with very faint fear every night. My speedbumps now are a night once a month then get back to sleeping. Is this my brain checking in on me or a build up of unconscious anxiety about sleeping well? Feels like I'm in the final fade out of insomnia but it's really SLOW to finally go away for good. Feels like the problem is 95% gone but this 5% lingers on.

Hi Daniel! Thank you for your great videos :) Do you have an episode around the topic of when doing nothing becomes doing something? I am thinking a lot about this at the moment.. I tried looking for it but couldn’t find it. Thank you a lot!!

Hi Daniel! Thank you so much for all the amazing videos! Maybe you could guide me, where to look for further help. My upstairs neighbor wakes up at 4 am every single day. While it was not a problem before, now my body wakes me up around that time and then he keeps me up with the noise and I can't go back to sleep. I am even anxious before he wakes up. I try to apply the timeless sleep window method, but it's hard, because I know the time from the noises. Honestly I watched talking insomnia #37, your earplug videos etc. But I do not know what make of this situation. If you can direct me in the right direction, I would be forever grateful!

Yeah, I've been there many many times. I've been a watching your channel for some time now, as i have been with insomnia fro over 14 years. I've done so many thing for my insomnia, from supplements to neurofeedback, never been in the drugs route because I really don't like them. But, every single time I recover my sleep, is because I became more relaxed, less anxious and release my need to control everything around me. And when I start to sleep again, a few weeks later, the anxious self creeps again, and wants to control this nice good sleep streak, that eventually leads to bad sleep again. This oasis, is exactly that, so Thanks you for your teachings, They have been very helpful over time.

Did neurofeedback work?

@@alexandravivero1259 It did but not in a direct way. What it did was helped me realised how anxious I was all the time, specially when I closed my eyes, like I was looking for sensorial cues constantly, from smell to sounds, looking for any sigh of threats. It was a good starting point to learn other skills the have helped me to be more relaxed and how it feels when the anxiety creeps in.

Hi Daniel, thank you so much for all your helpful videos! 😊 I just have one question which I’d love your advice on. I’ve started sleep monitoring/hypnic awareness and it’s lead to completely sleepless nights, I’ve tried ignoring it, tried focusing on it calmly, tried leaving it alone but it just keeps happening and causes so much hyperarousal. I just can’t seem to take my mind off of it no matter how hard I try! Now my nights are a complete pendulum of sleeping well followed by zero sleep the next night. How would you recommend approaching this? Is there ever a way out? I keep worrying that zero sleep this often must be dangerous some how which i know probably doesn’t help the anxiety haha, I’d really appreciate any advice 🥰
