I can agree on miami heat starting off on B-, however miami heat has been doing way better than expected with their starting 5 and their talented bench players. Erik Spolestra's coaching while a majority of their starting 5 were facing injuries that let them away for weeks on end has lead to their bench players to stand up and take over the spotlight. Max struss, caleb martin, gabe vincent, omar yurtseven, all bench players has been playing exponentially. Kyle lowry trade was the jack of all trades because he was the missing piece for miami heat on ball handling, passes, rebounds, assists, and giving his fellow teammates open shots from inside and outside the paint. I agree on ducan robinson in having a huge 5 year 90 million contract as his productivity is low, but not a lost cause. His recent game against lakers has shown that he can still shine on the court but he needs to do it constantly. To me, and this is my opinion since i am biased with my favorite team, i would give them an A in the middle of the season.
He doesn’t understand that players Jimmy’s and Lowry’s age are looking for financial stability for when they retire. If Miami didn’t pay Lowry and Jimmy that money then someone else was, Miami learned that the hard way by losing D Wade a few years back. Duncan hasn’t been horrible all season either, just inconsistent but when he’s hitting his shots he’s a top 3 shooter in the world and a shooter of Duncan’s caliber gets the big bucks. On top of that their future looks great with Bam and Herro and being a free agent hotspot making it easier to get a 3rd star in the future to pair along side with Bam and Herro. And then the front office have done nothing but good this season picking up role players and letting go of role players, on top of that the Heat are the 1 seed with the lineup of Lowry-Herro-Jimmy-PJ-Bam only playing 17 minutes all season
Hasn't Dunc been shooting 40% from 3 since December? In the last 23 games he's only had like 7 bad shooting games (8 if you think going 3/8 from 3 against Portland was bad). He's hasn't been that inconsistent.
The heat had a better off-season than the bulls if we’re being honest, bulls are pretenders in my book while the heat are legitimate contenders in the east.
Confirmed LOW hates the Miami Heat, the only point he really had was the Duncan Robinson Contract. We didn’t overreact and we brought in Lowry, Tucker and Morris and as of today we are the #1 team in the East and we don’t even have Morris and Oladipo back… and don’t even get me started on how GOOD Caleb Martin is for being on the contract that he’s on. Rare miss LOW
Even though LOW is right about the Duncan Robinson contract he is still dissing the Heat by giving a B- when they are the 1ST SEED in the east. They should have an A- at the BARE MINIMUM
Lol you guys know suns are overpaying there players right same for the bulls yes bulls also and the bucks and nets and they all get a better grade then the heat smh
People old enough to remember teams like 99 Rockets and 04 Lakers knew this Westbrook thing was doomed from the start. But even some of the newer fans are old enough to have seen 13 Lakers… sometimes the team just doesn’t make sense. You can’t go by names, you have to think about how it all fits together with both personalities and play style
Miami stays getting disrespected crazy asf 😂😂 B- as the 1st seed and the two main stars missed 10+ games is wild to me and the Max, Gabe, Yurt weren’t even mentioned 😭😭
I think you're being wayy too harsh on the heat. For starters Nunn hasn't played at all and Ariza is "virtually unplayable" according to you so calling them important lost pieces is rather hypocritical. Also they're not just top 4 in the east they're currently 1st and have a really good record against all other contending teams. They didn't overreact after an underperforming season, upgraded in multiple positions, pulled a couple more players out of nowhere like Straus and Calleb Martin and are in a position to be a top contender while also having a young team with a lot of future easily an A in my book. I understand there are some concerns with the Long term contracts of Lowry and Robinson combined with the Free Agency of Herro after next season but I don't consider neither of these contracts anywhere close to untradable. If the Heat decide to trade these 2 for a large contract that expires next season (big examples are Westbrook and Wall ) they could easily do it, hell the Lakers would probably give you picks assets and BJ to make the trade happen
Demar derozan to the bulls definitely an A man I laughed a article when they say one of the worse signing in free agency was demar derozan. I liked the bulls moves because they finally give zach lavine some help even though I thought he was going leave in the offseason maybe he stays maybe he dont but heres the thing the bulls can make some noise in the playoffs when everyone is healthy
I love these type of videos. LOW is probably one of the most insightful ball channels out there and this just shows a wide variety of knowledge and helps catch up on teams I don’t pay much attention to
He’s not very smart lol from a NBA standpoint. He said Luka and Trae would be “busts” giving them a low grade back in 2018. He’s made countless horrible analysis.
@@lukadoncic9085 you’re bringing up shi from 4 years ago☠️ 1. You’re a Luka fanboy ur opinion isn’t serious 2. I’m not saying he’s great, i’m saying he does a lot of research with the on-court play
The heat may have overpaid Duncan, but they put themselves in a position to win now this year and at least next year, what more could you want in a free agency? They got rid of all the dead weight and reinforced themselves with guys who fit the system better A- at least in my book.
Not to mention that half of the rotation guys they signed/converted to actual NBA contacts were from the G-League, except Caleb Martin who's still on a two-way contract. Talk about getting bang for your buck.
yeah that was my only argument with the vid when he said they didnt make a clear direction but its really easy to see they are contender if fully healthy with the new additions of a great 3 and d player in Pj a good vet pg in Lowry and with all the virus stuff going on alot of other players are stepping up and earning a good amount of minutes
@@josh8404a we aren’t even getting talked about how is that possible, we are the 1 seed with multiple injuries and beat all the teams in the east including the bucks bulls nets, we are underrated
Miami better get an A+ 🤷🏽♂️ Edit: and of course, over looking key role players like Omer Yurtseven and Caleb Martin we signed who have helped Miami stay at the top of the East while Lowry, Butler, and Bam missed 10+ games
The suns payed Chris Paul a 4 year contract because he'll at least have 2 dominant seasons left (counting this season) So they payed Chris Paul that much to help them now, about the same thing with the Kyle Lowry signing
Yeah knocking off points for signing CP3/Lowry and extending Jimmy didn't sit right with me. It was "win now" moves for both the Suns and Heat and we've recently seen that large contracts are still moveable so it's not like they have no way out. Not to mention that both teams still have players primed to take over in the future for when those guys decline.
@@wnc2004 I think heat will keep strus and Martin and Omer and try to improve those 3 guys I love Gabe but he probably getting traded same for kz and Duncan
Pelicans deserve a B- The draft compensation they lost they got back in another trade. Drafted two good two-way wings that fit wonderfully Let lonzo walk which wasnt the best of fits, but replaced him with as good of a 3 point shooter. (In terms of difficulty not percentage rn) Got rid of a big that was severely overpaid, and replaced with one that fits much better Pelican would be playoff team or knocking on door with the Zion we saw last year
Comparing Zo’s contract with Eric Bledsoe in the video isn’t saying anything lol everyone knows he’s washed, if he stuck around Zo would likely be the 2nd option this season without Zion which is very different from his 4th option role with a flatly more talented team around him
Pelicans need to fire David Griffin and begin to look at possibly trading away Ingram or Zion just to see what they could get back for them. I love Zion and Ingram, but holy shit are the pelicans doing WORSE in the front office than the KINGS lately
Ingram and zion weren't a good fit and they barely did good moves during the off season. Trading lonzo and getting nothing in return also getting rid of their 10th pick in the draft
Dub fan here, but I am so happy for Bulls fans y'all deserve this. Zach would have left if your front office didn't go hard in the offseason. Fun team for sure
In the short term the knicks have had a mediocre season but it’s not like this was a team that was serious about competing for the finals this year. This was and still is a year about finding positives and negatives with the players on the roster. Now yes some of the contracts on the team can be detrimental, I don’t see them as “unmoveable” in the future apart from maybe Kemba or Julius. Regardless this team will have to be very smart with their moves going forward if they wish to compete in the near future.
I’m not a lakers fan but with all do respect, I expected Kuzma to play better in Washington, especially since nobody is watching and it also proves my point that he is only good on a bad team🤷♂️.
Inferring that Lonzo Ball wanted to go back to the pelicans and only thing stopping it from happen was proper pay is beyond DISHONEST. There’s nothing the trash pelicans could’ve done to keep Lonzo Ball period
Bruh kcp hield and derozan(handling the ball most of the time between him and brown) would be way better than they have right now, caruso as 6th man or they should’ve went for Lowry and Hield
I think you could have talk about the cavs maybe as an honorific mention, cuz at the beginning people thought they had make bad decisions. Lauri, rubio and allen (getting paid a 100M contract) weren't expected to boost this team the way they did, is not onky them Mobley is a prodigy of basketball and has a ceiling way too high and also garland has stepped up with sexton out. Definitely one of the best free agencies in my opinion and cavs close/long future are secured, this guys play hard and are legit on defense
I would have bumped up the heat to an A-, Duncan has been inconsistent yes, but Kyle has made a much bigger difference than most people thought he would and they are the 1st seed. I remember when I was playing pickup and two friends were talking about how the lakers are a super team, something I was never sold on, so I mentioned the heat, and I was met with rolled eyes and my guy telling me Kyle Lowry is old and gonna do terrible, well imo he's been terribly good
As much as I don’t like CP3s contract, he (right now) is worth that money. His impact is on the level of guys like Embiid, he just doesn’t have the off the chart stats or flashiness to back it up. Though the Suns wouldn’t be a contender without him, he is their most important player. Obviously, in the future he might now be worth the money since he is gonna be paid that when he is near 40 but right now he is 200% worth that money.
suns have the best record in the league and you don’t even acknowledge how great CP3 has been in the clutch. the suns identified the weakness of the backup center position. i know we can’t throw in mid season signings but the biyombo signing is OD as well. Suns and heat deserve A+ lmfao.
Miami is in a great spot for now & for the future. When Jimmy & Lowrey leave or age out, Herro & Bam are looking fully capable of leading a team to success. Duncan Robinson is a very nice shooter to have on the roster & they have several other players that have impressed. Guys like Max & Gabe. The Heat might be the deepest team in the NBA & that's why they're a top seed without having anyone that is a concrete Top 10 player. They also seemed to have let the right guys go. I think you need to rethink your opinion on them a bit. I'm not even a Heat fan & I've been impressed by them this year. They had the foresight to hold firm on not trading Herro & he is looking like a long-term All-Star. They kept their core. They added the right vets. They developed the young guys. I just can't find many faults for a team that is currently 1st in the East while still being set for the future.
The fact you didn’t bump up the Suns grade smh. I disagree that CP3 isn’t playing like a 30 mil PG, he’s averaging a double double and playing mistake free on the best team in the league. That’s worth 30 mil.
Watch the Lakers win it all, I think they are built for the postseason more for the reg season; almost like the Cavs in '18: trash in the reg season but all those pieces that were traded would've been vital (Crowder, Wade, Frye etc)
Yo when did you make this video because Rondo isn't on the Lakers anymore 😂🤣🤣 (posting this after hearing the Lakers part) if he talks about Rondo when he gets to the Cavs my fault, but still.
Can we talk about how Zion and his family are so demanding of the pelicans but he has done absolutely nothing for our franchise and has the worst eating habits
Im sorry but chris paul is absolutely playing at a 30 mil contract level. Kid is averaging 14 and 10 and 2 steals a game with grat field goal percentages and is the closer in the 4th quarter. Granted i am a suns fan, I do think that his value comes from much more than just scoring. He helped ayton improve defensively and just does not need to score the ball. Just last night he had 27 and 13. Booker had 33 and went cold in the second half, and chris took it upon himself to seal the game and take home the dub. Book is the scorer, but chris is the facilitator. It's just different with him on the court imo.
Lol the people that thought that Westbrook would make the Lakers a super team, must clearly never have even watched a minute of Westbrook playing basketball the man has a very limited BBall IQ, Westbrook is good at getting nice stats at inefficient rate
Heat have to get at least A- Kyle Lowry has been a massive positive for the team, big upgrade from what Dragic would of been. Robinson by has been terrible I agree but recently he has picked it up and has been playing great over the last week or 2. Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler have both been amazing, despite Jimmy missing a few games. Then you got the fact that they haven’t even had Bam for 60% of the games and they are first in the East right now.
Miami yes. Lakers no. They signed those people and AD is injury prone. So it's never an if but when he gets injured through a season. Injuries are part of the season unfortunately
I like Randle more than the average non-NY fan, don't get me wrong....but this season is just more proof that Tatum should've gotten the All NBA selection last season....just saying.
Miami is the #1 seed while only having Lowry, Butler, Herro, and Bam play 17 total games together. They are in/near the top 5 for both Offense/Defense rating. Bam has only played 22/47 games. Jimmy has only played 29/47 games. It’s comical how you have Miami at a B- rating purely based off of contract numbers when they’ve beaten Suns, Nets, Bucks, Grizzlies, and Bulls all by double digits. Like the contracts or not, Miami should be at LEAST A-. This is heavily biased.
You should change the title cuz ur not regrading the off-season moves ur grade how they have gon, cuz the knicks moves were great it’s just they havnt planned out like they thought it would
