Sorry you feel that way... I get nothing but respect, kindness and good experiences with Thai's, weather its businessmen, government officials or your street food and coffee stalls. I have seen police take care of a drunk farang by giving him a ride home. I had thai people come up to help me cause I was lost.. Everywhere I look I see smiles. Try waving and saying hello to a few strangers everyday 100% when they see you weeks later they will return the gesture.... All this is rare in the west ! Cheers enjoying your chatting videos :)

I’m not impressed after tonight, it always comes down to overcharging. A stall at the local market I frequent tried to charge me 80 baht for two tomato’s and two onion’s tonight. Like seriously? Makro sells a whole kilogram of onions for 30 baht and a whole kilogram of tomato’s for 80-110 baht. Yeah bro I’m happy to pay 20 baht for a 5 baht onion (yes that’s the price you normally sell them for!). What makes it worse is I have bought several papaya from them on numerous occasions. Unfair treatment and poor integration is the reason why I will be departing from Thailand early next year. Thai at every change expects you contribute more than your fair share, rip off Thai.

I learned from travelling all over the world that some cultures just act more friendly than other's.

Are we welcome in Thailand ? As an Englishman there are thousands of Thais working in the UK that are doing fine. I'm English and support my Girlfriend and HER kids here in Bangkok. We SHOULD be welcome and MOST Thais are nice decent people here for sure.....I have noticed SOME Thais DO NOT LIKE US FALANGS at all. Some have been openly hostile.

A lot of Asians in South East Asia feel a resentment towards Westerners. Thais will jump on a fight as long as they see it is a fight between Thai and a Westerner. I don’t buy the motto: “the land of smiles” and all that nonsense. People will tolerate you but will never truly like you and will try to get benefit out of you on top of that add the “permanent resentment” they feel towards Westerners . The situation is similar in the Philippines and Vietnam too.

People are people all over the world! We all have good days and bad days. Check your expectations.

I don't think they would treat you that way if you were not trying to film. They know you are trying to make money with YT videos and you are encroaching into their work space. You might not be in the same business, but you are in their work environment trying to make money.

Hmmmmm I haven’t been there to Thailand but I will be respectfull in all countries. I’m not saying you were disrespectful… I’m moving to the Philippines as I was there before Covid and most people there were so nice 😊

They are not impromptu taxi stands - they are government assigned. If they are wearing the colored jackets, they are only allowed to work out of that corner. It also takes some of them a year or more to pay back the loan that they have to take out in order to pay for the ability to work on that corner and charge 15-20 baht to then come back and quickly get back in line. You really shouldn't be in their way because you are impeding business. Also, you correlate being in a businesses way to being tolerated and not accepted when they get angry with you....seriously? They'd be angry with anyone....the difference is Thai's know not to stand in the way of someone doing business....its foreigners that think they own the street and can film where they want. No you cant and you will get more than a push next time.

If you say "Prad Thai" with an "r", they will definitely know you are not a local Lol😂😂😂😂

I once asked my new found true love I met in a Soi 6 Pattaya beer bar . Am I number one ? no no no she replied money number one . LoL many farangs short of a sandwich at a picnic just don't get it .

Away from the tourist areas average people do not want to be filmed. They just want to go about the normal life. That’s the same anywhere in the world. You’re doing your thing but mite be worth being more aware of the people around you . Tolerated ?? yes/no depends who’s around you

Because of the abject inequality in Thailand, our tourist dollars are very welcome. The upper class Thais love us because it means they don't have to pay the large swathe of lower-class and working class Thais much for their social safety net. The lower class and working class Thais love us because we give them jobs.

If you are just going to start reading the menu at 3:40 and go off topic, doesn't it display a lack of respect to the channel viewer, like you could care less for our time watching you make a point? I turned off at 3:50. Why would anyone care to watch further. On the subject of being accepted "working in the market" like you say, Thai's generally only accept those to work jobs that are allocated to foreigners and are given work permits, and pretty sure nothing in a Thai market would fit that category?
