Great reaction. One thing we all know is that her artistry is amazing. How it affects us differs in many ways. But we all find. It difficult to explain it. It’s like she is the white light for us, that she climbed into back when she met the young girl , to whom she gave her shoes. ❤

Angelina clearly enjoyed this one to the hilt! Her final comment to her grandmother was "de var kjempebra", meaning "it was very good". The literal meaning is a bit over the top, "kjempe" (large, even gigantic) and "bra" (good) simply translates (I believe) to "very cool" or "very good" in everyday Norwegian.

There are so many great video's of Angelina singing for us and then, THERE IS THIS ONE! What is on display here is the transition she makes in and out of the song as the music continues. We see Angelina reacting to her grandma with all the excitement of an 11 year older (close to 12 ) but, in a flash, gets back into the song with an almost out-of-body sound of someone who sang 75 years ago. This was as close to perfection as you could possible ever hear. I know we love to watch Angelina perform as she is singing but if you can listen to this without watching her (an 11 year older!) you realize you just listened to a classic version of this song.

Love this Samantha! Great reaction. To me, the videos that I love SO much, are those few that show the special relationship Angelina has with her Grandmother, Mery Zamani. Mery is always there, but we often forget about her because she is there in the background to shine a bright light on her beloved granddaughter. After all, it was Mery that instilled in Angelina the love of jazz at such an early age (2-1/2😲). I just absolutely love this ending where Mery is showing how much she loves Angelina’s performance. Angelina has said of Mery that she “…loves my Grandma very much”, and she has referred to her as “…inspirational… my everything”. ❤️❤️❤️

Angelina has said she wouldn't be the singer she is if not for Billie's influence on her. This is a perfect example to illustrate this, for Angelina brings forth the 'breathy', 'whisper-like' inflections of Billie that surround her emotion laden delivery of this song in the most sensual manner imaginable. Other than Billie, I don't know of any other singer who would have been able to match this intensity with the exception of Billie herself.

This is the studio recording that went on her album, "It's Magic", which was released in 2017. She was 11 at the time. Do you remember her Norway's Got Talent performance (NGT 2) of this song, a capella? She was amazing, as a 7 year old. Fast forward 4 brief years since that brilliant performance, and we see that not only has Angelina continued to improve, but she does so exponentially. If we jump ahead from 11 year old Angelina to her at 16, singing "My Funny Valentine" (February of 2022), we see that her exponential growth has not abaited. One of the NGT judges, after the final performance, mused about what her talent would be like in 10 brief years, at 18. While many of us have developed a parental affection for this child, a child we've seen grow up before our eyes since she was 6, we can only imagine who she will grow up to be. We're so very proud of this child.

Yeah she looks late 11/ early 12 based on her many other performances of those ages, in which we know for sure. She was super tall by 12. 18 is so close now, but we still can't answer their question haha. She improves seemingly continuously. At some point one would assume the improvements would slow, at least until maybe she finds great success and settles into a comfort zone on top of the world. Then maybe artistically we see her with infinite confidence, instead of the very impressive confidence she has now. That's where big improvement might come from now that she's where she is. But I've been wrong before, wouldn't be the first time I thought her tools couldn't possibly get much better, and then they do. No doubt those same judges would be shocked to see her this versatile, this incredible at almost 17. No one is that good and that versatile, few even are that good and decently versatile. The voice is incredibly beautiful. What truly shocked them though I think was the artistry, musicality, her ear for and understanding of music. So they likely saw the versatility and artistry coming, she wouldn't even really need her top shelf tools to be amazing. She still has over a year to go too. No chance they saw the elite tools and skillset being quite that amazing though. Timeline wise 10 years may be almost exactly a year away. These got talent shows seem to always start not long before her birthday, and she started it at 7, almost 8. Can't remember which performance the comment about imagining her in 10 years was from though. Maybe prophetic, depending on the timing of her album release, and how long it takes everyone to crown her.

One can see/hear the influence of Jazz Icon Billie Holiday... And of course, the support, guidance and support of her Grandma... Whom Angelina loves beyond words...and all throughout this recording she's looking to see what her Grandma's reaction is... Angelina is an ARTIST, has been since a toddler, she does things that aren't in the realm of others her age... But then Angelina occupies a realm ALL HER OWN. Actually Angelina was 11 when she recorded this song. It was one of her songs on her album "It's Majic". You see the album cover move across the screen in the video Pure jazz. It's as if Billie Holiday is reincarnated into this 11-year-old little girl. If you listen to the mash up of Billie Holiday and Angelina, virtually you can't tell them apart totally amazing. BTW, at age 7 Angelina was on Norway's Got Talent and did an acapella version of this song. Also incredible.

@@103mrg Do you have the filming or recording dates for NGT 1 and 2? We know the auditions took place before the main show. The panel wasn't broadcasted live, these off set recordings preceeded the live show by weeks or months. It's with NGT 3 that we first see a number to call in to vote for a contestant. The televised airing date of NGT 3 and 4 would have likely been real-time events. The judge's elimination panel appears to be right on the heels of the audition. All I can use is the differences of her teeth. There's little growth NGT 1 and 2, while there's more growth between NGT 2 and 3. Do you have the dates?

@@Christian-DH I do have recording and airing dates for 1 and 2. And I have the airing dates for 3 and 4, which were broadcast live. But there appears to be disagreement and I can no longer confirm that all my dates are correct. However, Barton Bagnes made a comment 21 hours ago to which KristenA replied. In my opinion, she is one of the best authorities with accurate and reliable information on issues like this concerning dates and ages of Angelina's performances. I suggest you pose your questions to her.

When Angelina does covers she normally adds her own delicious spin on them. Billie Holiday is the exception, she faithfully reproduces every nuance of Billie's songs. Hi Samantha. Love this one and Angelina's vocal skills are absolutely on display here with the Billy Holliday cover (Billy greatly influenced Angelina from a very young age). She will be 11 here recording for her Album "It's Magic" with the Norwegian Armed Forces Band and released in 2018. Sometimes you really cannot go by the date of the upload to YT, not necessarily when the actual recording was made. Cheers, stay well.

This is one of my favorite recordings from Angie. I never get tired of it. The original audio from her grandma's phone was not very good, so the final audio was used, the one that went on the track of her album. The album from the Norwegian Military Band, featuring Angelina Jordan, was recorded when she was 11 years old, almost 12! This is an amazing cover of Billie Holiday's cover of Frank Sinatra's performance. The song was written by Frank Sinatra, Jack Wolf, and Joel Herron.

11... If this specific video is the produced album track put to her video of the recording of that song but they have corrected during the production... There is a video out there which is non enhanced and the raw telephone video, but you may want to look at for a realistic real tone voice going into the microphone

t's unbelievable how almost no reactor knows Angelina's age in each recording. A little research (or a basic calculation, considering she was born in 2006) would be enough, something that would only take about 2 minutes. It's a little annoying, considering everyone appreciates her so much. On the other hand, this shows a characteristic that is unique to her: the fact that she started so young and surprises us with every new song. Angelina came to disrupt us, that's for sure.
