Mr.Taxi is actually their 1st original Japanese song, they have released Japanese song before but all of it was korean song that they sang again in Japanese. So i remember when Mr. Taxi was announced SONE are super excited back in the days. :))

That's what the haters used to said to SNSD back then. They disrespected SNSD by saying the lyric of "I'm so fast" and "I'm so sure" into "I'm so fat" and "I'm so short". But nevermind, SNSD keep shining however 😂

Everytime SNSD released new song they they are the ones who so fast at pushing dislike button and leaving hate comments. Yess, they have a korean version of Mr. Taxi! And it's funny that the jp. ver. starts with "Tokyo, Seoul, London, New York" and the kr ver. starts with "Seoul, Tokyo London New York"
Mr. Taxi has a korean version and yes Japanese Version came out first and they made a Korean Version when they are promoting The Boys they performed it also on music shows. I recommend Flower Power and Galaxy Supernova on your next Japanese reactions

As someone who was around back when Mr. Taxi was first released, I can guarantee you it was an absolute hit. I must have watched that MV 50 times back to back. Paparazzi was just as big, and their Japanese title tracks only got better from there. I'd recommend watching their "The Best Live" concert tour at the Tokyo Dome. It was probably their best live concert ever, and features basically their entire Japanese discography with incredible stages, outfits, and vocals.

Paparazzi is actually my favorite snsd song so I'm glad you really enjoyed that. The only song that is fighting for my fav song spot is catch me if you can. It took me a couple listens to get into, but that was actually the first song I've ever heard from snsd. After that, I worked backwards just like you

Yes.. Watching SNSD'S MV is overwhelming becuse there's a lot happening when we don't have enough time to appreciate every single things. Everytime SNSD release new MV I would watch it like 10 times. 1 for the first time, and other 9 for each member focused. 😂😂😂 You should watch Paparazzi live performance from Phantasia concert, it's has some additional easter egg. And also back then in 2010 SNSD was covering "Singing In The Rain" in their concert. That's when I discovered that Taeyeon is an amazing and versatile singer who can pull any singing style.
Mr.Taxi was my first kpop song ever, and I dance it in 6th in my school talent show LMAO and my friends and i where fighting to be sooyoung and we didnt even know her name lmao but she own this era
The super electronic vocoders on their voices and production is what sells best in Japan and so all their songs for that market are heavy on that sound.

Their Japanese uptempos are very catchy but it's Japanese ballads that stand out for me: MVs: "Time Machine", "All My Love Is For You, "Divine", Lives: "Not Alone" (Tokyo Dome), "Stay Girls" (3rd Japan tour) and "Indestructible" (Phantasia) They are all my go-to sentimental and comforting material
I love Girls Generations Japanese songs. The album Girls and Peace is fantastic, and the Consert Girls and Peace in Saitama Super Arena, is phenomenal.

Not sure if you saw my last GG recommendation but it was these two MVs and I'm over the moon you did both in one reaction video 😭❤ these were my two songs back in the day thoo!! Karma Butterfly and Catch Me If You Can songs are amazing. Karma Butterfly is beautiful and although it doesn't have a typical MV, it has an amazing stage performance for it! Catch Me If You Can is fast pace and high engery🔥 NCT is a great option for your next big group to react to. Another boy group from SM~
Their Japanese music is so catchy!!! You can always tell Soo Young bc of her long legs! Also, she was a model in Japan for a while, so if you listen for her lines she usually has the more complicated Japanese lines
Japanese tracks are the best. I highly recommend the live performance of Mr taxi and the great escape at mtv there is an ultra HD version!! It's how I found snsd and its my fave performance by them
