this was a cover of a Dixie Chicks song from the early 2000's. Home Free did a role reversal as their version was the guy was the soldier. Home Free is an all acapella band with a beatboxer & no instruments. They are awesome & inspiring !!
Intro to Home Free---The three singers featured most prominently were tenor Austin Brown (red hair), tenor Rob Lundquist (glasses), and bass-baritone Adam "Chance." Bass Tim Foust has the white streak in his hair. Beatboxer Adam Rupp is the last remaining original member. The four singers all have extraordinary voices, and Pupp's beatboxing skills are unfathomable.

Yes, so good but a bittersweet song. I understand both actors are/were soldiers so that’s cool. God bless our soldiers. Love Home Free. Their harmonies are so good. It was originally done in the 90’s and made famous by the Chicks (Dixie Chicks) and a man was the soldier. I liked that Home Free switched it up with the woman as the soldier. I have many soldiers in my family but thankfully they all are safe. Home Free is an “a cappella” band and they have so many good songs. Try End of the Road, How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping. Thanks for a wonderful reaction, I enjoyed it. I suggest pretty munch everything Home Free does, but some great ones are Country Fried Pop Medley, In the Blood, My Church, or an original such as Love Me Like That.
