What? Florida was 7-5 in 2004 before Urban, then won the title in 2006 & 2008. Ohio State was 6-7 in 2011 before Urban and won the title in 2014 while also leaving Ryan Day with one of the best non title winning Ohio State teams in recent memory (2015 and 1998 OSU teams were similarly ultra talented OSU teams to not win a Natty)

he already will get back one of the 5 stars in Mater Dei RB Raleek Brown. If he can snatch the trio of 2023 recruits including the top QB of the class from Los Alamitos, that will be stellar, especially if current QB from Sooners moved with him. Riley is on the recruiting path already, but he can definitely flip some socal recruits, targeting Domani Jackson CB to recommit to USC and flipping Servite WR Tetiaroa McMillan From Oregon. three 4 star defensive players in SoCal are also not committed yet. He needs to get them asap.

Idiotic comment. If anything, the SEC will make Oklahoma and Texas stronger! Ppl like you said the same thing when Missouri and Texas A&M were joining the SEC. Missouri has been to the SEC Title and the Aggies are considered an elite team when they never have been elite and average at best. The Aggies never achieved more than 10 wins in the entirety of the Big 12, so I ask you if a blue-chip powerhouse program or 2 on the decline slowly joins the best conference then what is their ceiling of a middle of the road Aggies team joined and became elite?

Riley asked OU for recruit analysts and other resources in preparation for SEC months ago, not sure which team you srsly follow, SEC teams invest a ton in their resources and analysis, OU said no, why would he want to stay? Keep blaming the coaches until it’s the admin issue and soon be exposed by other sec teams

They're also always in the national championship game so I can't believe you can say that the SEC ain't that good when they're the best conference in college football.

@@LombreFan Alabama is, not the entire SEC let’s be real, LSU is good every 5 or 6 years. Florida is in shambles, Georgia is a great program but only have two titles and the last in 1980. Everyone else just riding Alabama and Saban’s coattails. Oklahoma can compete in the sec they need the right coach for it though and Riley ain’t the one all he cares about is offense.

Of course he's also been a successful assistant for OU and is Bob Stoops' brother, so there's sentimentality and trust there with that name.

USC lost 20 players to transfers in Lane Kiffins first year due to sanctions. Then he lost 30 Scholarships the next 3 years. Lane Kiffin did the best he could with what he had.

Lincoln Riley may have feel short at OU but this is USC the school thet can recrtuit itself against the likes of ALABAMA GEORGIA AND OHIO STATE. RILEY is evening the field with this move and he is barely turning 40.
