Madonna did fantastic ballads in the 90's - very deep, emotional, touching and impactful

You need to watch part 2 "You'll see". See takes control of the failed relationship and finds the strength to leave it.

Beautiful! Madonna and Baby Face wrote this song together which was a track in her R&B album "Bedtime Stories.' What a team! Before she became a Pop star and crafted her brilliant career, she belonged to two Punk Rock bands. 'Take a Bow' was number one on the charts for seven weeks, I believe. Great reactions!

They co-wrote the song but you can certainly hear the Babyface influence. Strange fact…. This was Madonna’s longest number one in the US, but it was her first song not to hit the top ten in the UK for a decade, since she started out…. The UK wasn’t really very RnB heavy at that time, plus it was released around Christmas when the charts are pretty competitive…. Top 2 Madonna track for me

Yes, please! This Used To Be My Playground was indeed a #1 hit. Still now, my favorite ballad from her. It hit #1 when I lost my grandfather. I can't hear the song without thinking of him.❤

Madonna was dating 2Pac at the time of the album recording. They even collaborated on a song titled "I'd Rather be Your Lover" which was an album cut which made the final tracklist however 2Pac was in jail of the time of the album release for his sexual assault conviction and Madonna's record label Warner Music convinced her to remove his feature and replace it with Meshell Ndegeocello because Madonna was working on softening her image in the general public due to the worldwide backlash of her sexual persona and artistic controversy from her"Erotica" album era and "SEX" book.

Oh yes it was a number 1 hit, a massive number 1 for weeks on billboard and across the world. I enjoyed your reaction- she crosses over because she appreciates, legitimately loves over cultures ( that’s what true artists do). I would suggest you guys react to her live performance of this song with baby face at the 1994 American music awards , it’s well done and quite beautiful in its simplicity. Thank you again for your reaction ❤️🙏🏼

In all her album projects and music videos, she is the artistic visionary and driving force that brings together all the talent and elements needed to produce these amazing music and film. She is credited with elevating the music video into an art form, and she is a master of the craft. She spared no expense in producing this video. She brought her production crew of 70-75 people to film this on locations in Spain in actual bull rings, hiring real life bull fighters and local extras, overcoming challenges in getting permits to stage these scenes. She made sure no bull was hurt in filming this. She sent a copy of this video together with her 4-page handwritten letter in late 1994 to then Evita film project director Alan Parker, lobbying for the lead role. She got the part, and as they say, the rest is history.

This was on the Bedtime Stories album. Madonna was preparing for the film Evita and this video gave a slight preview of her look. Her vocals with Babyface just fit so perfectly. The Matador theme continues in the You’ll See video where she regains control after he broke her heart.

When Madonna started she wanted that black sound, also everyone back in the day when she started thought she was black on the radio

Madonna grew up in the Detroit northwestern suburb of Pontiac with a large Black community. She was influenced by Black music-Motown, soul, R&B, funk..and this continued when she moved to NYC. Her record label for her first album, Madonna, didn’t even show her picture in the album but instead featured a photo of a Black inner city neighborhood. Her debut album/singles were promoted through Black music radio stations. Many thought they were listening to a Black singer.

@@briandubois-gilbert8182her portrait was shown on the cover for her first album and in the artwork inside; it was her first single, Everybody, that didn't feature her image

I think you should edit your list to make it her songs that made the top 10 That way you won't miss out any of her awesome hits that missed the cut. Live to Tell is another good song from a soundtrack that deserves a listen to.
