Smokey Robinson, yes! Imagine if he had done a cover of this, it would be so great. This is definitely my favorite in the "underrated/lesser known Queen" category. The version with Bowie on background vocals is floating around on RU-vid, but he really wasn't doing much or adding to the song, so maybe that's why he wanted it taken off.

Hi. Lisa. Seeing as you did Headlong by Queen yesterday. You might try out. Queen - Scandal..great song...and video...of a similar time. They both might be from the same album. Not sure. Have a nice day. BTW hope your sleep improves🙂

Wow! Very different from so many other songs I've heard. What a gorgeous falsetto Freddie had! Not my most favorite song, but definitely pretty In it's own right.

Brian wanted to keep it in, but Bowie thought it was pretty lame. All he really did was sing " bum bum bum" in the background!

This was when Freddie was doing a lot of cocaine and spending lots of time in the Munich gay sex/dance clubs. He wanted this album to be something that would be played there. That's one reason why the others were miserable. Plus the studio was in the basement of the most popular building in Munich to suicide by jumping off the roof. Good times.
