Slippin Away will creep up on you, it’s probably in my top 10 all time songs from Mariah. Out Here On My Own is my favorite cover she’s ever done. Cool On You is a hilarious bop. Love this album, great reaction!

The Firecracker version of Loverboy I think makes more musical sense, but the Candy sample brings out a lot of depth over time (although on first few listens, it feels cluttered and chaotic). I like to think that the Firecracker version could be better with a bit more finessing, but as it is, having come to know them both at the same time (rather than getting used to one version before going to the other), I find them to be on pretty equal footing.

I love this so much!!!!! Do you think of me is soooo gooood!! And funny that you mentioned that part of the instrumentation, because for me those beats, for me, were the ones showing that part when you are in your head, wondering if the other person is thinking of you. My fav from the album was Slipping Away, and let's say this: Mariah is the queen of covers. And yes, we do need a jazz album from Mariah (listen to her collab with Tony Bennett for his duets album). To end the record, the message in "Save the day" is just outstanding. If you want to listen to a song that is rare from Mariah, please listen to "Right to Dream", from her 2008 movie "Tennessee" and also "There for me".Thanks for sharing. So glad you'll do the live sessions now.

A lot of us, ahem older lambs heard a lot of these songs because they were on the b side of some of her singles and back in the 90s you had to go to the store in person to purchase music. I know crazy, right? So for the exception of a few songs, most lambs I would say heard a lot of these. Fun stories….hmmm, did you know that while recording the album Daydream, Mariah secretly recorded a punk rock album entitled “Someone’s Ugly Daughter” under the band name Chick. The label refused to let her release it but Mariah has promised to find it and put it out! If you didn’t already know. 🤩🥳❤

If you really listen to the lyrics of ‘one night’ it’s talking about the unsafe sex practices and allure of prostitution. first verse is from the girls view and second verse is the guys. It was most likely not what the label wanted her to sing about on her album they were in charge of But The album someone’s ugly daughter has a lot of life situations and dark subject matter and lyrically the song “one nigt” fit’s more on that album
