Reading Through Ruby Franke's Diary | It's So Crazy What She Admitted To! 

If these women had done this to adults, the charges would not be "abuse". It would be kidnapping, assault, torture, attempted murder, etc..

The part where Ruby tells R to tell his demon “I will fight him until the day YOU die” is absolutely chilling. They fully intended to kill this kids in AZ. The kids have been irreparably harmed. I just hope they can be adopted by a super loving family to cherish them. All of the kids need new families far away from Utah. Kevin better not get custody either after everything we’ve found out about.

She complained in that journal that R pooped his pants and said it was diarrhea. Yet she withheld water from him. Dehydration is the biggest cause of diarrhea. So she caused him to have the diarrhea - then blamed him for it and identified the occurrence as proof he had a demon. He had a demon alright. And it’s name was Ruby. I agree with you she is a psychopath. But she also suffers from a terminal case of stupidity.

These children fought to LIVE . That boy was so brave to break out & get help. Even the little girl told her mom that she was awful. When she said that OTHER adults couldn't see the demons in her children, that was her way of saying I DON'T CARE WHO SAYS I'M WRONG...

I keep thinking about the call between Ruby and her sister, and how the sister asked "is this triggering me asking you about the day you got arrested?" Like shut the f*** up man, what about the triggers that the kids are going to have for the rest of their life?

I think Ruby and Jodi were a match made in hell, a pair who simply enjoyed torturing those weaker than themselves and used religious fundamentalism to justify this. They make me think of the female guards in concentration camps who tortured Jews in the name of political fundamentalism, Nazism. It's a small minority, but not all women are kind and nurturing.

I can barely believe the lengths that dreadful woman went to go torture her own children. My heart bleeds for them. Such cruelty and vileness deserve life in prison. I don't say this lightly, but I hope Ruby Franke NEVER has another joyful moment for the rest of her days.

Julie is one of Rubys kids It goes from oldest to youngest Shari, Chad, Abby, Julie, Russell and Eve Julie and Abby were the 2 found at Pam Bodchers home. She picked them up at Rubys request and took them to her home to “hide” them I assume. She had Julie and Abby at her home scrubbing floors and cleaning her house 🤬

Ruby wants her kids to say and act how she wants. Nothing to do with what the kids want/ need. I hope Eve and Russell are getting the best help they can get cus half of their brain hasn’t full grown and developed yet. THEY NEED TO BE KIDS!! Ruby took several year of their childhood 😢😢 she wants them to suffer😥😥 how she did. I think she was abused when she was a kid. I think it would be good to interview the parents of Ruby on how she was treated. She should never go back to the kids. The way she presented herself in the body cam changed my whole perspective on her!’

A child is banging their head on the floor screaming out to their mother for help, a call that goes unanswered not because the mother can not hear them but because they are indifferent...this is beyond heartbreaking. No way Jodi made Ruby do this to her kids, this type of abuse comes from deep hatred of society that requires parents to protect and provide for their children, I think this is really Ruby taking revenge on her children for loosing income from their channel. What did she do to the other two children to make them not report the abuse of their younger siblings. Heartbreaking.

The fact that they both get 3 meals a day, get to shower, have clean clothes on their back infuriates me🤬my heart hurts for the innocent babies💔

I'm having a very hard time with both my 5 year olds. I cry almost everyday. But every day I try to work with them. I play with them. When they are mad, I let them be mad within limits. I don't withhold food. I may withhold junk food but even that they will sneak and I don’t get mad. Both my kids have behavioral issues. Luckily my husband's cousin who lives in the neighborhood has been helping us a lot. No matter how stressed I am I will never keep anything from them. Sometimes they turn our waterhose on. Last summer we racked up a 600 water bill and learned to check it often 😅. Kids will be kids. I know how they can be with behavioral issues/possibly autism but you don’t deny any child of anything.

Many years ago I lived in Utah as a non-Mormon, and have also lived around the western USA...so I can *absolutely* understand why the woman got so intensely angry when she saw a bunch of white people trespassing on a *literal* Indian Burial Ground! But knowing that they're LDS makes it even worse, and living in Utah has likely made that woman at the cemetery extra sensitive to white people coming uninvited into her sovereign nation: see, the for well over a century the LDS Church has had a *very* fraught relationship with Indigenous Americans,to put it *very* mildly! (and Hawaiians too, but that's a whole 'nother story...) In fact, the relationship between the LDS church and native Americans is even more fractious in many ways than with white gentiles, due to the LDS Church's history of blaming "local indians" for the infamous Baker-Fancher wagon train massacre. And to top that off, there's the fact that the Church's *current* scripture still says that native Americans were given dark skin as a punishment from God, and that when all the Indigenous Americans repent and accept LDS white Jesus their skin will become "white and delightsome" once again. So basically, if brown people are really good, then God will reward them by making them white again*. 🙄🤔 Suffice it to say that having lived out west for awhile now, as well as currently living 5 min from a reservation and having known many native Americans, I can absolutely positively state that Indigenous Americans are often *extremely* not fond of LDS folks coming on their land trying to "help them." 😑 * LDS beliefs claim that native Americans are actually ancient Jews (who Joseph Smith apparently thought were "white and delightsome" 🤔) who somehow got to north America in ancient times, and they believe that what most people think of as "Indigenous Americans" are actually just Jewish tribes that had their skin turned dark as a punishment. There's actually an entire field of "Mormon archaeology" which centers around proving that native Americans aren't actually native: they attempt to accomplish this by looking for artifacts from the ancient near east to prove that native Americans are actually middle eastern in origin, as well as searching for artifacts like the infamous golden plates.

Former Psychiatric RN here…heard some effed up stories in my clinical days but nothing as horrible as this. The grandiosity of this woman could have been fatal to these kids.

Scary that the dad tries to get custody. He's not competent to be a parent. It's infuriating that the state hid this from the public until giving them a plea deal. The kids deserve better justice than they were given.

Oh my goodness. So when R went to the neighbor and asked to be taken to the nearest police station…was that because he believed he was so bad he deserved all of this, but wanted to go to prison instead, and believed he’d be put in jail? This is SO SAD. No amount of jail time will be enough to make these women stop being a danger to the public. Now they just believe they’re martyrs and everyone is persecuting them.

I was sobbing watching this the other night hearing her journel. They are both so so evil and I do not trust her Husband. How could he stand by her defending her and not be concerned for his kids and her getting out of prison. She's a psychopath with no remorse.

Those kids had no chance to escape, all they had to do is act like they don’t have a devil anymore, but with all the abuse they had put on their bodies I don’t see a way they could, as they would still not have control over their bowels. So Ruby just wanted to kill them. HOW is she not being charged for attempted murder. All the evidence is there.

Kids may have suffered incontinence due to being traumatized, over exertion, bound up, or locked away from the bathroom. So cruel.

I so badly want to read the pen papers! I wish that they would find them and release them! The fact that ruby was so confident in the fact that Jodi was some Mormon prophet or god is crazy! I want to know what Jodi said to her in these trances and visions. They really thought that they were writing a new book to the Bible. It’s wild. I worry that Jodi will gain followers by using herself as a martyr. She’s already saying that she has a story to tell after this is all over, she says that her blessing from the bishop told her this would happen. She said that they thought they were moving all of their stuff to the storage unit in order to move the kids to Arizona, but really it was so that they could come to prison and so she could be a integral part of Christ’s return in these final days, she keeps using words from the Bible to explain her situation. She said that the devil has always tried to come for her, because he knows how important she is.

They should not have made a deal. They could have 100% gotten a conviction with zero testimony from the children themselves.

No one so far IMO truly gets the "volcano pie" thing, so as someone with sad experience in people like this let me translate that part at least as I see it: In front of her starving children, she bought a huge sugary fancy dessert for their other abuser and they had to sit outside or stand around in a restaurant smelling delicious food while she paid for JUST THAT--for their ABUSER, not for them--and then they had to sit in the car with her lecturing them about how saintly she is, probably helplessly smelling it all the way back to their prison. To watch someone else eat it. And I guarantee you she enjoyed every bit of their misery. Don't show it? Defiant. Show it? Manipulative. Anyone who could do that to ANY hungry being is not fixable. I said it and I'm not sorry. And this wasn't just "ANY hungry being" these were HER OWN. CHILDREN.

I'm feeling sick to my stomach. How could a human being do this to anybody!? Let alone their own children? 😭

J is Julie, Ruby’s other daughter. She has Abby too. I think this journal switches between Ruby & Jodi writing. I lost my hair when I had cancer and i felt like I lost my identity. This, I suspect, is why Ruby did it to little Eve. I am so so sad for these kids. And for her other daughters witnessing what they did to Russell & Eve. These women are PURE EVIL

This is so similar to the Lori Daybell case the only exception is that Ruby is 'Lori', Jodi is 'Chad' and thank god those two children didnt end up like the two poor daybell children. The rest is a mirror to the story, the mormon religion, a somewhat famous mormon fanatic who rights book about her whacked version of religion, the torture of exactly two children because of "demons". The Daybells managed to go under the radar for alot longer and cause actual death to not only the two children but both ex spouses and possibly many more. I fear if this hadn't been caught when it had, it would of ended up the same way. Its exactly like reading something Lori would say, she even looks like her now I'm thinking of it. Truly horrifying case and to think this is going on behind a family that were supposed to be 'influencers'. Page 11 the part in quotes "I can't in good conscience..." and "these are God's children" etc. was Ruby quoting Jodi after it was disclosed that Jodi was buying open land. Jodi convinced Ruby that she was doing all of that for the benefit of the children when we all know this was for the benefit of herself so that she could play out her anger issues by torturing the children. She convinced Ruby that this was the right way to save the children. Jodi likes having power and dominance over defenseless people in the form of classes that ruin families and starving and torturing defenseless children. Jodi was also behind Ruby stealing the children's money and trying to get her to ask Kevin to sign over their house. And Ruby was willing to do it too! Buying land, stealing money, and trying to get Ruby to sign over 8 Passengers was all for the benefit of Jodi. Jodi is a sociopath to say the least.

This crazy mother accepted gifts of all kinds. In then stopped. She's the one who taught the children to be that way. They didn't know any different. Ruby is insane.

Those children were in a no win situation and they knew it.

Like R was a complete badass the whole time. "I'd rather have a glass of water than you as my mother" good boy.

It blows my mind that Ruby never recognizes that her son might be soiling himself as a direct response to trauma (conscious or unconscious), stress, physical abuse, CSA etc. Instead of looking what could be the root cause she only considers defiance. I pray for these children, their healing and that they never see her again.

A woman who cant bare children will kill her in prison.. putting cayenne pepper and honey on open wounds & wrapping them in duct tape? It took professionals hours to get her out of a closet.. after choosing to throw herself into a cactus.. the amount of brainwash. It makes my skin crawl. The justice system is awful!

The fact that her kids told her to Eff off and had the willpower to fight back in even the smallest ways when she was putting them through literal hell, is a testament to how brave they are. I hope those kids grow up to be healthy, well adjusted adults who never have to speak to or see her ever again if they don’t want to.

For every Ruby that is publicly very visible out there, there are so many more that need to be exposed. This should be a wake up call for everyone.

E used to use her hair as a self comfort by twisting it in her fingers and fiddling with it. Thats the distraction that monster was referencing when she shaved her head. Taking away her self soothing

My mom is bipolar with episodes of psychosis. She has been psychiatricall hospitalized many times. She always had problems, but it got worse as she got older. There are 6 of us kids, my older siblings had moved out when it got super bad so I was the oldest in the house there's an age gap then I have 3 younger brothers. Let me just say, we were like frogs in a boiling pot, we all made excuses for her delusions and it's much clearer looking back than it was in the thick of it so I do feel for the older sisters who were also in the home. That being said, I do wonder what they even knew or what she was telling them because even with that fog, I physically fought and restrained my mother from hurting my brothers. I was 14 the first time I really realized that something was seriously wrong with her, she cried and apologized and I covered for her, but it never got better. She said very similar things to what Ruby was saying about demons and such. Finally it culminated in her attacking me in the middle of the night thinking I was possessed. Thankfully I was 17 and able to fight back, but I will never forget the empty look in her eyes as she started screeching like Smeagol that I was going to kill her because I had restrained her.

Had Ruby Franke gotten charged, convicted, and sentenced in non predominant Mormon state and city, she definitely would’ve been convicted of attempted murder.

What's even sadder is that Russell wasn't looking for help. He was looking to go to jail/prison. He was asking that neighbor to take him to jail just as he attempted to runaway and take himself to jail. That poor boy was lucky enough to wander to a home with people who LOVED a stranger. People who loved a hurt child. They fed the needy and stayed with him. Yes, his actions saved him and Eve. I have no doubt! Running away, for whatever reason, was a brave move. I simply find it terrible what saved his and Eve's lives was thoughts he needed to be in jail.

I've heard stories over the years of women murdering their children to "save them" and speaking of demons, and you can clearly see they were having a psychotic break when they went over the edge. Ruby was cold, calculating, manipulative, and relentless. She knew exactly what tf she was doing, and she enjoyed it. It is pure evil.

When Ruby writes about J, she is talking about her daughter Julie. On one of the many audios released, she says that she had left Jodi’s house with Julie early the morning of R’s escape to take Julie to a dentist appointment.

Whenever she says the children are "manipulative" or "liars" she is referring to the kids actually giving the responses she wanted so she could continue the abuse anyway.

We know from Jessie, Jodi’s niece, that she could not confess enough. Jodi was always convinced there was more unspeakable sin that needed to be confessed.

At 42:36 when she talks about unhooking R from the bells and whistles, asking him to breathe and putting him in a slumber...i think she really did something to knock him out. She then wrote "IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE YOUR PATIENT (R) KEELS OVER." She knew she was going to kill him. That part reeeaaally scared me.

The fact they were only charged with child abuse, and were allowed to take a plea deal when THIS is the evidence they had…. Is an absolute miscarriage of Justice. This is torture, holding someone against their will, child abuse can mean so many things this was not just “abuse” I’m literally sick that they got off so light on their charges

16:14 that’s hard to believe after hearing her jail call to Kevin, reminding him that adults aren’t going to buy that children can be evil, though she and Kevin know different, and she hopes he doesn’t forget that and how they’ve dealt with the problem in the past. (paraphrasing here). He’s just as involved with that as she was when he was home. Also, listening to his first interview (haven’t heard second yet), he seemed more concerned for his wife than anything. He can’t claim ignorance.

I agree with a psychologist online who said it seems she was keeping a journal to use as a book or for teaching other parents. I think every parent/grandparent in this cult should get a serious visit from authorities to check on all kids involved.

It could also be that E was “wailing” and tantruming for Ruby and not Jodi because some part of E still thought her mommy could hear her or might love her and might see her pain where as she knew Jodi didn’t care. Sadly, she was wrong, but it really could have been the dying embers of Ruby’s own baby who was begging her mom for help through a closed door.

Horrific!!! Thank you so much for fighting for these poor children. I watched a RU-vid yesterday where a person talked about Ruby being in prison. She said that many people in prison are victims of parental abuse. Ruby is going to have a hard time as most prisoners are also well aware of what she has done and are triggered. They do see the news and talk to friends and family. Fingers crossed that she gets her head shaved.

Losing control of your bowels and bladder is end stage of dehydration and starvation as your body goes into ketoacidosis then shock then your organs shut down your kidneys fail and you die. I know from personal experience just this past November. I spendt a week in the hospital because i had to be refed very slowly so that my body could adjust to breaking food down again.

J is Julie …her older daughter who is named after her aunt. The mental and emotional torment those two older girls went through is never mentioned. Ruby would have brainwashed them to thinking this was ok or put the fear of God into them so they never told anyone.

This wasn’t brought up in court because there was no trial. They pled guilty with stipulated agreements. The prosecutors offered the plea agreements and the defense attorneys, Im sure, looked at the evidence including this journal and told their clients to take the plea agreement because they were screwed. The parole board will get access to all evidence.

This is probably going to ruffle some feathers, but hands down the reason Jody and Ruby are getting off so easy is because they are white Mormon women. Period. I live in AZ and have spent time working in St. George and the attitude towards people like this are the same in this region. There are Christian cults all over this place and it doesn't matter how abusive they are, they get a free pass within the legal system regardless. It's also important to note that Jody and Ruby were following and preaching the same doctrine that Chad and Lori Daybell were originally following. Look how that turned out for her kids.

I can't. I have to stop watching. This brings me nightmares. It is middle of the night right now and i went to my 9 year old and hugged him. R is precious, he is a superhero. I would love to donate for his therapy. I hope so much he finds love in his life. Pure,unconditional love.

The moment that gets me (besides so many other things about this horrible situation) was when I saw the video of this sweet emaciated and bruised little boy, walking up to the doorbell camera of the man who called 911, the way that he asked for help was the most polite and sweet way to ask for help! Just the way he asked this stranger for water and to call the cops, it made me cry.

I made the mistake of looking at the photos of that poor child's wounds, scars, and his emaciated little legs and something in me broke. I can't understand how he even managed to walk, let alone doing hard physical labor. The fact that Jody insisted that he had willfully caused those wounds himself just to defy her makes my blood boil. Those photos and this journal have brought me to a level of anger I never thought possible. I've always been excessively compassionate and forgiving and have never felt the desire to see another human being experiencing horrendous pain and suffering... until right now. I can't claim that I would be prepared to actually dish it out to those two women, but let's just say that I wouldn't cross the street to stop other people from doing so.

R was a perfect example of what is meant by "turn the other cheek" in the Bible. To turn the other cheek meant if a Roman solider hits one side, offer the other in defiance/strength. Good for him, strong boy

This is sooooo similar to what Jessi went through 14 years ago. Jodi inflicted similar abuse; running up hills in the desert, sleeping on the deck, telling her she’s being manipulative etc etc. Ruby might’ve been inflicting the t*****e physically, but Jodi is the monster behind it all. Also, These kids are soooo smart!! SO resilient!
