1964 5 I would have been only 4 or 5 years old yet the music from the 60 s has been a good thing for me .the 60 s and 80 s has been my kind of music along with northern soul and motown.

The Leyton Buzzard mimers definitely stole the show, especially the one in dark glasses just sitting there playing the same note again and again.

Easy to see why the Stones and the Who became as big as they did, they just left everyone else in their dust.

I seem to remember Dave Clark owned the rights to RSG recordings and they were all tied up in legal fudge. I remember seeing this when Channel 4 broadcast it. Thanks for posting 🎸🎸🎸

I'm from the USA, my favorite British bands of this era are The Beatles, Stones, Who, Kinks, Animals, Yardbirds and Zombies.

@@PAULLONDEN I like the Small Faces and the Troggs too, but they were a little after 1964 - '65, the early part of the British invasion. Those bands came out in 1966.

Throw in the Searchers, Hollies, and Manfred Mann. There were a lot of great bands during the 64/65 period. The Who broke a little later here due to their legendarily inept US label, Decca.

I believe Keith Fordyce was the DJ presenter. He had a look alike in Kent Walton also a DJ and sports presenter in wrestling. But sure this is Keith Fordyce. Sometimes mix the two up. They look so similar with similar backgrounds. Just seen the credits at the end.

Do you have anything of the '65 Christmas show? Pretty sure it was that Christmas episode, it had Eric Burdon as the grandmother or godmother, Hilton Valentine and maybe the Kinks were the ugly sisters, Peter Noone was Prince Charming, and so on.. big Animals' fan, would love to see it here, thanks :)
