In this video, I analyse investment opportunities in condos in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for foreigners; How can a condo be turned into a profitable airBNB business and how much profit can be expected.
I calculate the business case for short term rental on AirBNB for condos upwards of 1.000.000 Ringgit and analyse the market and explain ideas on how to build a successful AirBNB business in KL.

Great content mate! Appreciate your analysis! One question though - what is that 5% of the Equity for? Thanks a lot!

Thank you! I use 5% as a reference interest rate, feel free to replace it with the interest of your mortgage or what you believe you can get in a baseline, risk-free investment like a savings account. I include this to reflect the opportunity cost. Let's say an investment gives you 2% annually, but you could get 5% in a savings account, you actually lose 3%.

It would be very interesting to see how a European, for example, can lay the foundations for making investments in Malaysia. What preparatory work has to be done and what does the final setup look like before making investments.

Technically, there are no preparations required, you can go ahead and buy a property, pay from an overseas bank account. As soon as you start to get involved with Malaysian Financial Institutions it starts to get more difficult.

If you have a sharp CPA and lawyer you can buy properties for less than 1,000,000.

I had my lawyer triple check some of the things I was doing with RE. She even checked with the bar and all was good. @@villanomics
