Right! I think Prior’s (or any lawyer ever) great mistake was talking to these people in a condescending manner, like they were stupid or couldn’t understand his words. Like Sir! You picked them! @cowboykelso

@@joakuz My understanding is that Prior didn't want to do this trial but was stuck. I think he knows Daybell murdered the kids and his wife (the ring leader) so with that Prior represented Daybell to the letter of the law (as his requirement) but his way to ensure that he was convicted was to be condescending and rude - it made everyone hate him and Daybell. I think his tactic worked!!

They’re narcissists. They don’t love ANYONE. No not even each other. They are infatuated with each other because they each offer narcissistic supply to each other. In other words, they only “love” the other person for how they make them feel (boosted ego). As soon as the person stops boosting their ego, that love goes bye bye. Anytime a person k!lls their own family, 97/100 they’re a narcissist and did it for selfish reasons.

I find it interesting that you commented on how gracious the jurors were, ie. even the witnesses ( like the Daybell children), that gave testimony that they didn't believe, they still felt sorrow for them. I don't want to sound prejudicial, or make this about age, but I believe having a balance of ages on a jury of this kind is helpful. For many of us, who are in this gentleman 's age group, we were taught to gather information by listening not only to what was said, but what was not said, by their nonverbal communication and the way something is said. Even if a person is lying, you can tell a lot about that person by the kind of lies they are telling, and why. We weren't brought up learning information on 20 second sound bites. I think that fact is especially applicable when it comes to the Daybell children being called as witnesses. The jury may not have believed them, but they could read the situation and between the lines, and learn a lot about Chad by the kinds of lies the children were telling. I think Defense attorneys ought to take this fact into consideration when putting relatives or close friends on the stand.

i dont think this juror so much was hungry to be on the jury and enforce justice, but rather he was confident in his ability to be an honest, impartial juror/knew the importance of this part of our legal system. Also probably mentally prepared to "roll with punches" of an unknowing time commitment and horrible details. I'll be honest, the first couple days i would probably be miserable and maybe in a down mood of "why me? this is the last thing i want to do"; where as this guy is ready. 30:15 Peter the difference between a jury and a political body is if the political body resolves the problems they are now out of a job...so they just create or perpetuate trouble to continue to have a reason to exist and continue to get paid. A jury has a life they want to get back to, and no one is going to get rich off 5-15 dollars a day.

It’s not about sitting and being in court all day- it’s about the pressure eif making sure you don’t miss a single vital detail, then the emotional exhaustion from all the evidence showing that children were brutally murdered. I can’t even imagine how exhausted they must STILL be. Glad they are given therapy. I think it should be more tho.

Peter, would you be willing to look at the appeal that Prior filed and analyze it and whether there could be anything that might cause anything to be overturned?

That was very interesting . We usually don’t get this much insight into what the jury noticed in testimony. I think that this jury did a great job weighing evidence. Great interview by Nate Eaton.

I know we all wanna watch these interviews but I’m so glad that Nate and whoever else is offering them this platform as I assume it helps them to release a lot of this energy they’ve been holding in for the most part. I hope it helps him/them heal! ❤️😢

When I first saw this I thought he was the judge. He looks like the judge, and he sounds like the judge, he threw me off.

Such a well run trial, considering the magnitude and heavy responsibility these civilians took on for the benefit of bringing justice for the victims and society at large. This was a shining example of how our justice system can work - when *everyone* who plays a role in the courtroom does their job and treats their responsibilities with the dignity, respect and integrity required. I’m grateful to the jurors who are coming forward and sharing their experiences and to Peter for covering this! *This is really important, especially in light of the current Karen Read trial and the latest ‘Miss Becky’ shenanigans!

Thank you for your input, it's really great to get the legal perspective on these comments. Nate spoke with the juror foreperson today that was really interesting.
