It's the same judge. I have very high hopes for it being televised. 🫰 I want to see what happens with Baldwin of course, but I'm also very interested to see what happens with Dave Halls. I'm interested to see if he lies again about who handed Alec the gun. When he lied in Hannah's trial EDB said that sense it didn't pertain so much to Hannah as it did to Baldwin that the da would leave his plea deal alone. She said it would be much different if he lied again in the Baldwin trial. I don't think he should have been allowed to lie, given that it had so much litigious ramifications. It doesn't sit right with me that he got a sweetheart deal, him and Seth Kenny guided the investigation with a strong hand, and Dave was allowed to lie on the stand to save himself from lawsuit culpability. I still think that the bullets came in from Seth Kenny. I am really blown away that it wasn't brought up more in court that Thell, and Seth were good friends. I am surprised that he wasn't subpoenaed, and asked point-blank if he gave the ammo to Seth. I think that the search of Seth's home show me that that place was torn apart. As to why is anyone's guess . My guess would be looking for ammo that he knew he had that tied him to Thell. That's just his security system my arse!😡

Unfortunately the family wants the truth to come out. There's been a lot of weird shenanigans the prosecution has pulled in this case as well and family members have been silenced

Please Peter can you comment on this book that any potential juror might read.

From what I understand, the book is based on the information in the probable cause affidavit. The prosecution has said that the information in the PCA is not factual and therefore not relevant 🤷🏻‍♀️. The gag order prevents any information except the PCA from being disclosed.

I have listened to an interview that was done about the book and the way everyone was talking it seemed like they had factual evidence to suggest that Kohbergers family might have known or had suspicions about him. It was the way it was portrayed that made me think this couldn’t be right. I haven’t read the book but I was very concerned after hearing that interview.

Mitigation experts are brought on no matter what in cases like this. It would be a terrible choice not to hire one because no matter how solid they think their case is, the client is facing the DP. Ms. Taylor wouldn't be doing her job if she didn't hire one. The mitigation expert conducts their own "investigation" of sorts into the person's background to look for things that could be used at a sentencing hearing. For example, if Mr. Kohberger had several concussions, there was a family history of mental illness, etc. they could put those things together to make a case for the court to reconsider choosing the harshest penalty in the event that he gets a guilty verdict.

If you have heard the substance of the pretrial hearings you should already be exempt. You know about things that might be excluded from evidence… Unless you lie…which you kind of seem like you might. I certainly hope you don’t. It is a perversion of the justice system to lie to get on a jury.

The girls all lived and graduated high school in Kootenai County. They were from Post Falls, CDA and Rathdrum and had large memorial services here. There is probably as much anger here as in Moscow. Good for the prosecution, not so much for the defense.

I agree. I understand wanting the discovery and being pissed about that. What I don’t understand is not wanting a trial date. Shouldn’t you want a date to be able to put hard deadlines on discovery? Like in Vallow-Daybell. They got the death penalty off the table because of discovery violations. In other cases evidence has been excluded because of late disclosure. Seems like everyone is making it easy for The prosecution to take their sweet time instead of holding them to their burden in a timely fashion

He waived his right to a speedy trial, that is a risk he took when he weighed his options to give his attorney a chance to put his defense together. I think he would have been convicted if he had not waived his right to speedy trial. He made the right decision. I’m not saying I think he’s going to be found not guilty because he waived the right to a speedy trial, and this prosecutor isn’t Lindsey Blake. She is a rockstar. I plan on waiting for the trial to see the evidence from both sides. My parents live in Moscow. This case is really close to home for me and I don’t want an innocent person to go to prison, but … I have questions that I want answered during the trial.

@@joann5075 that's what my 99% accurate gut tells me but I am waiting for the evidence. The things I suspected right away are slowly creeping out but there's no way for me to validate. Destroying the building heightened my doubt.
