Hi Carrie!! It's been about 3 years for me without any gluten (barring some accidents) and it has helped my stomach so much!! Thank you for an interesting, informative video :)
Dear Carrie, I came across your name when looking for an Instant Pot cook book and looked you up on RU-vid. I live in the UK and last year, I was referred to a dietician because I had been diagnosed with IBS. When working through the Fodmap diet I found that gluten containing foods definitely brought on severe symptoms so I would be very interested in anything you put out about a gluten free diet. Like you I found that I was suffering from a whole array of symptoms that I hadn't connected with my diet. Now I find that avoiding gluten and onions and garlic have made me feel much better. I would love to have some more support and look forward to seeing what you have to offer. I hope it will be offered on RU-vid as I don't do social media! Carol UK
I'm glad you found me, Carol! You might want to check out my website because that's where I share tons of gluten-free recipes. It sounds like you are also doing better on a low FODMAP diet, so you might want to search for a cookbook with low FODMAP recipes. My website is www.cleaneatingkitchen.com. You can also join my email list for new recipes and health articles.
Thank you Carrie, The website looks really promising. The Fodmap diet was a tool to find out what my gut was sensitive to and as such it was very helpful. I also have type 2 diabetes so I have to be very aware of what I eat. Your website seems to offer some very exciting ideas for some 'treats' Carol.
Hi Carrie, this video is really helpful. I tried for 1 week Gluten free diet which was so helpful for my upset stomach but my doctor didn’t send me for any test which can tell me that gluten is a problem for me. So do you think it’s a time to start Gluten free diet?
@@gurvinderkapoor4005 I think if a gluten-free diet made you feel better, then you should probably continue. But, of course, be sure to check with your healthcare provider. Most people do an elimination diet for at least a few weeks to get the best results. Amazing video, thank you. Any other videos would be very helpful. I've been gluten-free for almost 10 months and doing much better. I would appreciate gluten-free meal ideas. I find myself eating a lot of potatoes because it's a safe, easy choice. I lost a lot of weight the first six months, now that I have found safe meals, I'm gaining again.
I've been gluten free for about 7 years now and my gut has slowly healed and I would never go back...tbf my body would not let me haha xxx thanks for sharing
I also found out I have hoshis right before a thyroidectomy and subsequent cancer diagnosis. That was close to 10 years ago and 20 extra pounds have crept on no matter what I do and despite thyroid levels including t3 being in a good range. I've been walking an hour a day for four months a NO weight loss. Have lost about an inch on waist but stalled. The walking is however helping PMS and cycles. I'm hoping it will eventually pay off with weight. Im curious how you keep your weight in check being in a similar position. I also have PCOS and colitis.
Thanks for sharing that, Patricia. I also struggle with my weight. I'm curious to know how old you are? I am finding that the older I get, the easier it is to gain weight.
