Thank you very much for posting this! 🙂 My relatively new clippers keep jamming/simply won’t cut even though I just put brand new, high quality blades on them. I’m going to check the tension screw as well as the other points you’ve mentioned. Here’s hoping it fixes the problem because my wooly pony is getting warm!
I fired my sharpener because I sent in blades that were cutting fine but weren't gliding through the fur like they should be. Got them back and the guy had stolen the Andis cutters and replaced them with Oster. I don't think I'll ever pay someone to sharpen my stuff again. The guy already had points against him for returning most of my blades and they'd stop cutting on the first dog I would clip.
Although I will mention that shipping is also rough, I was a package handler at ups for 2 years; everyone tortures the boxes, cuts them open to see what's inside tape it back up, and if theyre getting boxes faster than they feel like working they start launching and slamming the packages to move faster. I wouldn't be surprised if your packages' handlers messed with it
@@robuu5890 I tell people when sending mail-in sharpening to just assume that their package will be football kicked across a warehouse and package accordingly...lol
If my clippers are only 1 year old and bot used often, would you assume its not the bkade drive/lever? I replaced the blades too. So maybe I'm dealing with the hinge screw or tension? Any thoughts?
I have question. What about a comb attachment ? I sharp a clipper blade, its working very good, but when i start to use comb attachment it doesn't work properly on that clipper blade . Can i ask you what i should do about it ?
Comb attachments where out over time. The little springs that hold them on the blade start to weaken and will cause issues. Try using different comb attachments and see if the issue still happens. Also I may be that the set back on the cutter (top Blade) may need adjustment. That is something your sharpener should be able to help with. I hope this helps....😁
One in four brand new Oster clipper blades will not cut hair ! ….because the comb comes down the assembly line and is sharpened there . The cutter blade comes down an adjacent assembly line and is sharpened by a different sharpening machine ! They don’t match ! Hope that helps you …Theres some free info for ya
