You can buy head light bracket repair kits btw, bit of an expense to replace a whole headlight for a couple of plastic brackets

Regarding to bonnet/hood You can fit any bumper from a AWD car, only RDW have different hood, Difference is only the inner heat shield, that You can transfer from yours (SVR uses heatshield on bonnet and others use heatshield on top of the SC) hood (EDIT: sorry I inicialy typed bumper instead of hood).

Hi mate. Im a tech at jaguar/landrover dealership just call a dealership and give them the vin and you can get all the part numbers you need.

Chris have a look at Harper's jaguar based in USA but have a fantastic parts page where you customise your search to model ,year etc great exploded diagrams with part nos and prices (scary) I used em on my rebuild.

Always wanted a f type svr after been in a few of them so watching u rebuild this is epic

5:33 you're a detailer you say? I wouldn't have guessed with the Hex lights and wall mounted lights in your garage... 😉 When you showed the car in the garage just before this I did kinda think "that's more a detailing garage than a mechanical one"

I've rebuilt a few written off cars now, and yeah, the hardest part by far is sourcing (the correct!) parts, the stripping and rebuilding bit is the easy part!

I am in the states now and will be flying back in a week and half,can easy bring back some parts if that helps. I work here on a boat so my bags are fairly empty as stuff stays on the boat (incase your wondering)

Regarding the dashboard - make sure you buy an F-Type dash with the extended leather pack. Otherwise you’ll get a dashboard with the wrong leather type.

You should of just went to someone in Bradford mate. You’d of had that steering rack for half the price in half the time👀🤣🤣. Doing a good job though. Is the caddy coming back!? All the Touran bits bolt on to it front end dash interior carpets etc. get it done! Be a good watch😬

Is the damage on the front light just the plastic mounting tabs? If it is you can repair/make the tabs out of abs plastic and plastic weld them on with a soldering iron. I did this on my car, the tabs look the same as the factory ones and they are actually stronger as I built up the plastic behind the tab. Once the weld was sanded you can't tell the difference between the factory tabs and the fabricated ones, its strong as when the plastic melts and cools its essentially becomes one part rather than using glue which is not as strong. A couple of hours work but well worth it against the price of a new headlight.

EBay bit was far from boring, interesting train of thought on part numbers too, Mat does the same, like the lambo indicator off the ford focus. Don’t bank transfer anything, unless it’s family don’t trust anyone

Great video with some helpful info for other car builders,maybe the reason why the front wheels are more expensive is that the other cars met the same demon as yours 😳😳💪💪💪

The first part of the part number is the prefix. If the prefix ends in an ‘M’ (e.g HX5M) that means is an SVR specific part 👍 if it doesn’t then that means it’s a normal/core F type part.

Nice build and hope that breakers as more parts other just the plastic front wing bits. Would save you time and money

Get a mid rise scissor lift. Would make these jobs a lot easier. Doesn't take up space as i park my over it in the garage.

Those pedestrian protection air bags still look intact? They only deploy bellow 30MPH and if the sensors detect a human or most often, a bird.. When they do deploy, they resemble a bag pipe!, the top plastic part separates from the bottom part and exposes a bag.
