RECALLS DONE AT LAST 

Well, well Triumph Lover you must have racing in your blood. I'm glad to hear that you are still riding. You've got a few years on me. I'm 58. I hadn't thought much about it, but without making any adjustments to the ergonomics of the bike and the lever angle and really just a very slow in town ride may have added to the weight on my hands. If and when it comes time for a new model, I won't immediately dismiss a bike because it has clip on. I had a Speed 4 with clip ons and it was one of my favorite bikes. Mine was running fine before the recalls, but I figured I still better have them done. I wonder if all those quickshifter issues had to do with that detent arm?

@@scottsspeedtriplechannel I was one of the unlucky ones… My fan seized, my detent spring broke! I guess I was one of the reasons they did the recall 😄

Wow. I guess you were the reason. I remember thinking early on that some owners must have gotten real lemons. I guess all those overheating and quickshifter issues were a design problem after all. I was tempted to not have the detent arm replaced because I prefer to do my own work, but I'm really glad I did now. Thanks for the info Bucks Biker.

@@scottsspeedtriplechannel yeah, I was one of those that took one for the team... Believe me, breaking down, and having to be recovered twice was not fun. Turns out that Triumph, and all manufactures, need a certain number of problems before issuing a recall... It means that a lot of folk probably got stranded! Still, I've heard of no other issues and have had no problems so hopefully, fingers crossed, all is hunky now! I love this bike...

What do you think of the new orange RS?

@@scottsspeedtriplechannel I don't care for the matte stuff. I heard they are going to offer some different colors in 24, but I am happy with the black

​@@rogerbarfell9075I might have gone for a matte black, but every time I see the orange I think I am looking at a KTM. I'm not a fan of the orange either.

I think you are right. For most street riding, you basically set it and forget it. I thought I did notice the suspension of the RR stiffen a bit when I got on the throttle. I've gotten my RS set now and haven't changed it in over a year. I don't do track days. If I did I think it would be a pain to have to change the set up every time though. So. I have the ABM clip ons. I personally wouldn't recommend. However plenty of others love them, so I think it's just me 😢.

Care to expand?. I've heard they are the only real option so I'm interested in your opinion. @@philipjames3526

I did not notice any difference in wind, but I only took a 20 minute ride on city roads, no highway. I only got up to speed once just as I was returning to the dealership. Let me know what you decide after your test ride.
