Honestly speaking about my own experience, my gum was starting to recede and I was thinking to go to the dentist but I heard of oil pulling. So I started using organic coconut oil to gargle my mouth and teeth 20 mins then brush them after ( oil pulling only once a day) and I also added a drop or two of myrrh essential oil. 3 months later I showed my teeth to my friends and they thought I had a new set of them. The gum has grown back and teeth were whiter. Now I still do it once every few days. It’s been a few years and they are still the same. 20 mins seems long but any time from 15 mins is ok.
@@thamayanthit2591 it sure can even if they use operation it’s still reversed. You can do some researches look at the pics ppl post it sure works for me.
I think most are ok even tea tree oil but most common is clove but don’t use peppermint coz according to a dentist it can loosen the fillings if you have any.
I had this procedure. People down play the pain. It was very painful after the procedure. It didn’t work and one of my teeth had the nerve die and became infected after the procedure and I had it pulled.
Also my lower front teeth got lose from surgery and they were strong before. I found a comment from another person who had the same bad result. The pinhole dentist said they probably lose before but my main dentist doesn't believe it. Stay far away from this surgery!
I had this procedure done 4 years ago. DONT DO IT. I have scarring of the gums above my upper teeth from being stretched and yanked too tight during the procedure. It created tethering which is what happens when scar tissue shrinks. It is still uncomfortable after 4 years. The procedure was a nightmare for me and the healing process difficult. The second day after the surgery I was puffed up and bruised so badly that I had to take prednisone and an antibiotic. Of course I could not brush for 6 weeks and no solid food for all that time. You never know how you will do with acprocrdure. I wish I had not done this AND 4 years later my gums have receded back to the Pre op state. 4,000 dollars wasted. I had all upper teeth done at once. Bad idea.
Oh... I do have issues on my left side - I am right handed and I brush my teeth too hard, and I am looking at procedures. My cousin had that other technique (same issue) and her gum looks really good, like nothing ever happened. Thank you for sharing - I hope you are well now.
I paid 6500€ and lost all my money and have a worse situation than before. I didn't find many comments on RU-vid maybe they get deleted. But i searched the Internet and found a thread where many people write they lost thousands of dollars or euros and for nothing. They all regret it. I only found two comments from ppl who said it has slightly improved but hundrets who regret it. I shouldn't have done it, it's one of the biggest regrets of my life and i cry everyday because it's so much worse than before. The dentist said it's a bad result but didn't really care. The surgery itself was very brutal and painful torture. I also found comments from professionals on the Internet who warn people, one doctor had it done on himself and ist warning people not to do it. My Front lower teeth got lose from the surgery and i found a comment from another person who wrote the same. The pinhole dentist said they might have been lose before but my main dentist doesn't believe it. No matter how much you wish to find Help: Stay away from this surgery!
Same haha The dentist was trying to hard sell this to me, shame on him for not mentioning the risks, besides my gums haven't receeded anywhere near as bad as in any of the shown cases.. Will change the dentist
When you lower gums recede your teeth appear to look longer but as your upper gums receded your teeth will fall down through gravity making them actually measurably longer. However the teeth in both cases is the same length it was before recession. Teeth become loose as there is less gum foundation.

As you may already know, gum receding is the result of gum disease.. which I had - after several dentist/periodontist visits, I have finally settled down to daily routine of oil pulling, flossing, inter dental brush - once a day. Thank goodness, no more gum problems now. However, I do have receding gum but hey, healthy gums and bright teeth are much better than these painful invasive treatments, Isn't it?
Some of the dental stuff is just a money scam.Alot of those procedures done cause more problems. Deep cleaning can damage under the gum causing tooth loss and nerve damage .Bacteria can spread from a regular cleaning throughout your body .Dentists and other dental professionals do not advise us of all risks involved it's about money $$$
This is incorrect. Over brushing can also cause gum recession. If you you're going to make such authorative statements like that, "gum receding is the result of gum disease" then you had better be right, but you aren't. Gum disease is just one cause of gum recession.
@@deang5622 he isnt incorrect dumbass, there are multiple reasons gum recede, just because he didnt list overbrushing doesnt mean hes incorrect you fucking twat
I wish it would be where everyone could get the procedure done but unfortunately I was told I could only qualify for it if I mad 4 mm of pockets in my gums. I know have issues in my mouth due to me not brushing in the evenings consistently from July 2007 to March 2015. I fd up big time with that and am hoping what I am trying now can get rid of all the problems I have.
4mm... ? That's a lot. :l i'm researching "Dragon Blood" now, check RU-vid. (yes, it sounds totally scam, but it actually used by many, a natural healing, not sure how effective tho'... still researching)
I have receding gum despite being very consistent since young age about brushing and pad flossing. The causes are unknown so far regardless of what dentists try to sell you.
Growing up as a kid, I thought that the harder you brushed your teeth, the more you cleanse them, I was wrong, I mean I never brushed my teeth hard everyday, but still, I also think I have gum disease because my gums changed color over a long period of time and I didn't even realize it until a few years ago, they turned a blackish purplish color and they have whitish bumps that doesn't even hurt, they are scattered across the gum above my upper jaw teeth, I also can see a little bit of swelling on the gums under my lower jaw teeth, when I brush down there it can sometimes hurt a bit and sometimes bleed, I also saw that the gums on my bottom canine teeth (The teeth that are one teeth away from your center teeth), receded a lot, but the bone of the teeth haven't been shown yet, I haven't tried Oil Pulling yet and I want to know what Oils I can use.
Anyone care to share their experiences on oil pulling? I heard really positive results from people online and would like to know more about this procedure. This pinhole procedure sounds painful and damaging. I would prefer seeking more natural solutions.
i just started oil pulling. there are lots of videos on youtube, and you can ask the people in the comments on there. it seems like it’s effective. it can’t really hurt to try, so why not try it?
This is not true, because the gum misses thickness, it is not that you can just pull it down, it will go back after some time. The goal is too build up some meat on the gum, but if you stretch it, it will only become thinner, making things even worse.
@@askahygienist there isn't a need for further info. Gum won't get more bulkier just because we want it to. If it gets thinner it will stay like that. This is why I think the grafting from the top of the inside mouth to the affected area is better as you are bringing more meat, it will combine and fhey will meld and better as a whole as you've just added more meat. The top of the mouth will heal the missing part. Takes longer but it's onviously the better safer more effective option.
I was reading about this and was about to go for it but my dentist said it isn’t always successful. He is as right. A lot of people saying that their gums recessed back to how they were before, after treatment. So I’m not convinced and here in UK this treatment is quite a expensive compared to a traditional gum graft.
I really wish I could afford to get my gums fixed with the pinhole instead of grafting.... the grafting just sounds so crude and invasive.... so sad they’ve been so slow rolling this out...
Look into Dr. Weston A. Price and change the way you eat, start oil pulling, and don't use toothpaste and don't brush so hard. Your gums will grow back if you give your body the right nutrients. It did for me.
I've had many teeth gum grafted and 10 years later its still holding up well and my gum line looks good and thick. Theres only a few teeth on the bottom front that are still a bit thinner than I prefer but that's my bad genetics and nothing else. Its a bit invasive but it's not a major surgery. Swelling goes down in about a month and you'll have stitches but the ones on the roof dissolve and the others are removed easily in 6 weeks. Its not a big deal
Are you saved friend? If you died tonight will you go to heaven or hell? God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh to take away the sin of the world. He gave up his own life to save yours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for your redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. This is the Gospel which means the Good News. Isaiah 45:22-23 KJV Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. [23] I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. John 1:1-3,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, Isaiah 44:6 KJV Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. John 20:27-29 KJV Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. [28] And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. [29] Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
I can see this technique working, but also I understand your dentist’s skepticism. Gums technically attach to bone, so if you have decreased bone levels, there will be nothing for gums to attach to, rendering and gum treatment ineffective, pinhole or otherwise. Pinhole technique might be a great option for localized recession due to aggressive brushing or frenum involvement, with good underlying bone levels.
My dentist took too long to refer me to a periadontIst. She pointed out the problem but I had to look for the specialist myself. A year and a half later after she told me I needed to see one. Another dentist told me to just get dentures. I decided myself to search for a 3rd opinion and he saved my teeth. Do something before its too late.
@@789genie I'm having implants for some. But I had a veneer done in my twenties and now the gum has receeded, it looks awful. I mentioned this to my dentist but she seems very sceptical.
@@Mr_Lupine they do, but many of them don't know "everything" i mean, this Doc is a Pro, and he shows pictures before/after. The pictures speak for themselves. (?) i'd say. unfortunately many Doctors don't read up on new methods, they are stuck in the 90's.
You are very young. Your body will heal itself. Use super soft manual toothbrushes (those with ultra thin tapering bristles) and don't use whitening toothpaste (those with abrasive particles), use sensodyne instead. See a dentist and get a professional dental hygiene/cleaning every 6 months. I was like you, used hard or electrical brushes for ages, abrasive toothpaste as well, was obsessed with having clean teeth and ended up doing more damage than good...
can I get a fish hook and some novacaine and do it myself? Just kidding. This is actually fantastic news. I will ask my dentist about it next time I visit.
I don’t recommend the Pinhole. I had it done. It’s very painful and didn’t work. Then I had to to have one of my teeth pulled because it became infected.
It depends where you live. I live in the UK and there are only a few dentists that do this procedure the nearest one is about two hours away from me. Just Do some research on where your nearest dentist is who can do this procedure dentist who can do this will normally advertise it on their websites
Unfortunately any kind of gum procedure is not guaranteed results. Gum graft can fail, gums can recede again. Depends on where recession is and why it’s happening to better understand if it will be successful.
