I use the same product. My customers rave about it when they see the difference after the application. You touched all aspects, great video!

I just checked your domyown link for talstar and their website's Q&A indicates that talstar is also effective at taking out carpenter bees as well. This talstar might be the key to doing my own insect, spider, carpenter bee and carpenter ant control.

I starting using Talstar last summer. WOW what a difference it makes. Even with gnats and mosquitos. When I would talk to my neighbor in my yard we would hardly be bothered by bugs. As soon as we crossed into his untreated yard we were attacked. I also mix mine into Cutter yard spray.

Another great video. Just a note, the Bioadvanced for grubs comes in 2 products. The 24hr you showed is an immediate killer but doesn't last the season. Bioadvanced also makes another version that it promotes and is a grub preventive for a number of months and is called Bioadvanced SEASON LONG grub control . Very important to note that there are two versions.
@MrFergusonLawn

Yes I mentioned this. You have prevention vs immediate killer.

Great video use that stuff all the time in the yard here in Ohio. No issues what so ever however alternate that with another so is slows the immune response.

Great content as always! I had a huge white grub problem just after complete renovation with GCI Cool Blue in early October last fall. I was seeing white grubs in the top of holes all over the backyard. I’m not sure if it was skunks or what making the holes. Weird thing is the grubs I was finding were still alive. I went to Site One and got granular Dylox and spread it. Within a day or two there were so many grubs on the surface you couldn’t take a step without hitting one. I’m definitely going to put Dylox down again this spring and in the fall before overseeding.

I’ve seen you use Talstar in the past and I think this is the year that I’m buying it. You convinced me lol Also I know you recently were nerd-ing out at that NC state conference haha. I thought of you since I started watching this channel called “Turfgrass Epistomology.” Apparently he’s a well known soil scientist. Not sure if you’ve heard of him but you’d probably appreciate his videos/podcasts. Been learning so much, mainly from his videos addressing macronutrient misconceptions (how P and K apps rarely are needed)/ best source of N for the cost/ false fertilizer marketing/ and misleading results from most types of soil tests available to the DIYer. Been unlearning a lot of what I thought I knew.

Good to know and hear. I probably need to learn from someone like him as well.

@@MrFergusonLawn he’s definitely called out some content creators just as a heads up. But it’s always been constructive. And since he’s not tied to any product, he’s unbiased. He just goes over evidence from research studies, some he conducted himself. There’s another podcast, but even though they’re full of information, they like to mock content creators. From what I’ve gathered he’s not like that lol

I had a bad crane fly infestation last year. I used Accelapryn G in the fall and I have not seen any this year.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention crane flies doing damage to lawns before. I've had them in my yard but don't recall seeing any damage. I usually spray Acelepryn in May for army worm protection (also takes out grubs). I also use Bifen every now and then. My most lethal insect control is Dylox which I used once years ago when an army worm infestation took over my neighborhood.

Never heard them called crane flies. I have always called them mosquito hawks. :) Great vid as usual. Also, I wish I could find something that will make me think I'm full so I'll stop eating. 🤣😂

Good morning. Could you please tell me where you got your Black Mulch from?
@MrFergusonLawn
@MrFergusonLawn 2 месяца назад
I got mine from a local company a few miles down the road. Unless you are near Wake Forest NC, not gonna help you out much. My advice, it's always cheaper to get a truck load than multiple bags of mulch. It's simply black dyed shredded wood mulch.

As always thanks Mr. Ferguson for all your suggestions. This looks like a great product but not for me since Bifenthrin is harmful to bees and pollinators. Even low concentrations in the environment can be lethal to pollinators. ☹
@MrFergusonLawn
@MrFergusonLawn 2 месяца назад
Understand that. However if you do a little research, it states that once dried, Bifen is pretty much harmless to bees. If directly sprayed, yes, it can harm them. So it’s not as bad as you may think! God bless
@emilemosley8573
@emilemosley8573 2 месяца назад
I'm sorry I miss spelled. I use Acelepryn its not harmful to worms and dosent harm the pollinators. It last for 3 months although I've also been told that you can get 6 months of coverage from acelepryn. I'm throwing some down today.
