I worked Friday night and got off at 6:30 AM. I went straight to Amoeba and got in line at 7:30 AM. I met you when you were checking out the line. I'm the dude that told you, "what are you doing here, you have too many records." Glad to see you got the Linkin Park. It was nice meeting you. That big ass dog was so cool.

I wish I listened to Tangerine Dream and Popol Vuh when I was that young. I only had about 60ish dollars so I bought Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy (Mirror to Mirror) and Swans - Die Tur Ist Zu

I needed the Arcade Fire Ep so badly I got to my record store at 1 am. Yet nobody showed up to line up until 5 am so I was just alone as people kept passing by at 3 in the morning giving me weird look. Glad to say I got the Arcade Fire ep, The Piper at the gates of dawn mono rerelease, Sha Sha, and Twin Fantasy (mirror to mirror).

*Here's my RDS story* you asked 😉 In the UK the mornings are cold and horrible, so the Que usually starts at about 4AM at my local record store in Sheffield *Record Collector* I got in the queue at about 5;40AM and was 22 in line at the doors. (doors open 8am) I got the first few on my list *Bass Communion (Steven Wilson) First LP, Seven Wilson - How big is the space 12" and Wu-tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang on cassette* They didn't have the GoGo Penguin album that I wanted, so I ventured off to the other indie stores in my city to find it. I go to *Music Junkie* where instead of organising the records they just dump everything in these lone crates, no order what so ever so going through them is painful. But I grabbed the compilation *Motown Funk Volume 2 (a Motor city production)* I ALWAYS buy a compilation on RSD especially if it's of musicians I am not aware of. Plus I bought the first volume last year (so I had to get this). Then lastly I go to *Bear Tree Records* (probably the best RS in Sheffield) and they were the only store to have *GoGo Penguin V2.0: Special Edition* in stock so I got everything on my list. I still haven't had a chance to listen to my records because I had work a few hours later and I have been sleeping to recover since. Oh and I almost forgot Waner were giving the first people in line a *"Mystery Vinyl"* it's in a white sleeve with white labels on the record and no information with what's on it. I wasn't first in line but *Record Collector* had a stack of 30 of these 12" disks and were giving them to anyone who asked. I have no idea who is on it, but I was told it's new musicians to the Waner label. I've only just woken from my coma and I think I'll finally spin some of my new records today. All in all, *RSD2018* was pretty, pretty, good. 💿

I got Rage Against the Machine, Run The Jewels, Nas, Ben Kweller, Sujfan, Tim Armstrong, The National, Dr Dre, Cheech and Chong, and The Sponge Bob release for my daughter. I’m surprised you didn’t grab the Ben Kweller?

Also, for my girlfriend and I's anniversary today, she got me the MST3K Season 11 soundtrack on Glow in the dark vinyl! Limited to 500 copies and comes with a sweet MST3K Moon slipmat. I know that Glow in the dark records are sonically bad but if anything, it's a great gift and great novelty piece :)

As always I had to make some choices reducing at minimum my list. As I live in Italy here record store day is not popular at all, and since I don't listen Italian music that much I have to buy everything online. With huge shipping prices. This year I bought the Led Zeppelin single and the Blue Planet II Soundtrack which I fell in love with. Also got Niall Horan's EP for my girlfriend and I got if from Spain so I could save lots of money for the shipping.

Mine was pretty generic but I got most of what I wanted: The PRINCE "1999" single LP UK edition, Madonna first album Japanese import picture disc, John Fogarty "Centerfield" picture disc and Planet Terror OST on white vinyl. I had the Star Wars Porg picture disc but couldn't bring myself to spend $30 on that, so I passed when I could buy the full OST double LP for $25. What I missed was the Cheech & Chomg "Up In Smoke" picture disc, Spongebob Picture disc, the Pornosonic "70s Porno Music feat Ron Jeremy", David Bowie "Let's Dance" 12" promo and The Vapors "Turning Japanese" 7". Passed on the Duran Duran LPs, Cure LPs, Wolfman Jack LP, B-52s, and a few others I can't remember.

So my experience with RSD was for the most part very exciting and fast paced Got up at 3:00am so I could be first in line at my record store. When I got there only had one person ahead of me so I felt pretty confident that I'd get most of my list. Had a great conversation with this individual and he told me he actually has had conversation with you via email about him possibly doing some t-shirts for you and your channel. Very small world we live in. Anyway we had a plan, the both of us at the top of our list was the Johnny Cash box set. Plan was in place if he seen them he was to grab both and give me one. Only problem our store only had one copy. Sucks being second in line! Lol, however I did get everything else. SoundGarden Asides, Prince 1999, Linken Park Live, Rage Against The Machine, Elvis King of the Ring, Led Zeppelin 7 in., Sugar Ray 7 in, Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke picture disk, John Fogerty picture disk, Whitesnake picture disk, Living Colour Live, Adam Sandler They're All Going to Laugh at you, Disturbed The Lost Children. Stopped at Three record stores and made a day of it. Can't wait until the next one. Peace and keep up the great work. Keep on spinning

Congrats on getting all the stuff you wanted. I missed a few of those titles at my store. My only big break was I got the Jeff Buckley box set and when I turned it over to read the back i noticed it was #0002. I went thru the other copies there hoping for number 1. The others were really nigh numbered.

This year was my first RSD. I wasn't able to get everything I wanted exclusive wise but I did pick up a couple nice records and a movie. 1. High Fidelity on DVD 2. George Thorogood and the Destroyers Bad to the Bone 3. Def Leppard ' s Pyromania 4. Alice Cooper's the Alice Cooper Show The Scorpions Blackout 5. RSD Exclusive 7" of Dismantle Me by the Distillers with a cover done by three Regrettes on the B-side.

I got the last copy of Juicy. Rage, Zeppelin, Mastodon, Soundgarden, and Bruce Springsteen from Music Millennium in Portland

I was on a budget but I picked up some of the ones that I wanted the most: Car Seat Headrest's Twin Fantasy Biggie's Juicy 12" Aaliyah's Back and Forth 12" I'm in dc and thankfully my record store wasn't as crowded as Amoeba. I got there an hour and a half early and I was seventeenth. But one day I have to try the camp out experience lol.

Personal Computer wasn't a RSD release here in the UK but has been reissued this month & mine just arrived today. If you enjoy that one, check out her "Parapsycho" LP, very cool stuff. How does Amoeba work the distribution? If they have everything on your list do you get it? Do they limit how many you can get? I went to a Rasputin's and they limited us to one selection the first time through. After that it was open to what ever you wanted after getting back in line. Picked up the following, Linkin Park Pink Floyd Zeppelin Alternate Tango Stone Sour Acoustic Dylan and The Dead The Doors Matrix Part 2 I hesitated on Complete Clapton which I could have gotten but ended up missing out. Was on the fence on Alternate Moondance and I'm kicking myself for not getting it considering it was a sub $20. Anyways, good video as always, keep up the good work!

The national lp you got there was in such bulk at my store in manchester CT. Like no one picked it up. They had like 10 copies atleast and its a small store. Very odd since they have quite the following. I was looking for the ella fitzgerald but missed out which is ok. But I did pick up the chuck berry hits re issue on orange vinyl. And the real reason i wanted it, it was pressed at RTI. An excellent pressing plant. That and the coup de grace for me was the rough guide to ragtime blues compilation lp. Not everybody's thing but showcases the history of blues and rare to see on lp format vs cd or digital files. You got alot, glad to see you got everytying you wanted. That line at amoeba is crazy! it seems bigger every year I watch your RSD videos.

It was my first record store day and I gotta day it was great! Shout out to Park Ave Cds in Orlando, FL 💙 I got- The Crow Soundtrack, Gorillaz, RSD mini player with a few blind discs, Robyn Bodytalk, Queen LP... it was a great record store day for me and many others!

Best RSD 2018 find was the very limited Ennio Morricone soundtrack for "Autopsy". Really glad to pick that up. Arrived at 2:15.

The only thing I wanted from RSD was the Taylor Swift 1989 re-release in colored vinyl. I would NEVER in a million years sleep on the line for that vinyl, thankfully I was able to pick it up on Discogs.

My haul was in leftovers for now, but this is what I got. Led Zeppelin - Friends 7" Doris Norton - Personal Computer Doris Norton - Nortoncomputerforpeace Not much, but it is what it is. I do think I have a weird taste in music, but I think my new gf will love the first one as she likes Led Zeppelin.

Luckily, my local record store knows me so they were able to Pre-order my selections in advance. I was able to pick them up a day before the rush! I got Nas, Led Zeppelin, Czarface, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis, Baby Huey, and The Police. Still some more that I would love to get, but I was on a budget.

It was a great day. Bought tons of stuff and met some great people at Scotties Record Shop in Summit, NJ. My favorite grab was the daughter soundtrack. Spectacular packaging and beautiful music.

Def not into the same music as you, but I have to say your videos are so well done and mesmerizing. Always interesting and me and my boyfriend think you are really cute. Keep up the great work, Very fun RSD 2018 video.

Geez people, you need to come to Paris (France, not Texas) ! No one cares about great music and records here but our record stores still get all the titles on the RSD list every time. I usually get up at 10am, take a shower, have a good breakfast, then head to the record store and get one (or two) copies of everything i want, and there's no queue or anything !

You have to go back to reviewing music on your channel. That's why I subbed to begin with. I bought the New Buckley on vinyl by the way.

No matter what the vinyl color is, one color won't sound better than another. It's all the same material. Depends more on the source material and mastering.

Got in line at Smash! in DC at 8 am for a 10 am opening and was second in line. At around 9 the owner came around and asked everyone in line the top 5 things they wanted so they'd be ready for you when you walked in. Got the Pink Floyd, George Martin, FIDLAR LPs and the Vapors and Zep 7"s. I REALLY wanted the Teenage Bottlerocket but Smash didn't get a copy. I already hit my budget with those 5 so didn't grab anything else but I may go back in a week or so and see if they have any overstock left.

Couldn't go out for releases yesterday so I bought a couple things online. Got a great deal on the Gorillaz Humanz Deluxe art book, $14 from Amazon Canada! And lastly was able to snag an OOP white vinyl variant of Mega Ran's Final Fantasy 7 hip hop album Black Materia, which only had 175 copies available during RSD 2016. The Yetee.com had just a couple overstock copies they found in storage and I was up early enough to nab one!

Nice haul Matt! Ben Kweller's "Sha Sha" was the only RSD release for me. Was too hyped over all the jazz and indie classics I was comin' across. Mazzy Star, John Fahey, Yusuf Lateef, Freddie Hubbard, Chet Baker, The Pendletons, and a Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac did it for me.

I went to Horizon Records in Greenville, SC and bought Mac Demarco's Old Dog demos as well, and also got Pornosonic featuring Ron Jeremy. Its 70s faux porno music with hilarious voice overs done by Ron but its basically just 70s funk and the music is stellar!! I also picked up Virtue x The Voidz, not a RSD release but I figured why not get it on RSD!!

I got the Steven Wilson 12" of How Big The Space. Wouldn't mind getting the Soundgarden best of. Nearly picked up the Floyd album but got 2 copies already so didn't bother.

Hey man, cool video! This is the first RSD I’ve participated in, so I got to my shop late (also because I was busy earlier in the day) but managed to pick up a beautiful copy of the first Stooges album. Didn’t know about that Balmorhea single, unfortunately. Cool you were able to snag one!

I got Enter the Dragon soundtrack, Mac DeMarco Old Dog Demos and 7' split, Black Moth Super Rainbow 7', Lumpy Gravy by Zappa, Chicano Batman s/t. I really wanted the Pink Floyd and Car seat Headrest releases, but the store I went to didn't have either.

I was listening to my copy of Arcade Fire EP while watching this video. Also picked up The National and Car Seat Headrest. My very first RSD was pretty successful! I didn't really know what to expect and was expecting just to be in it for the experience but I'm really happy with the outcome.

I got Teenage Bottlerocket, Led Zeppelin 7inch, The Smithereens, Ella Fitzgerald, Taylor Swift debut album, 50th Anniv of Monterey Pop Festival, and Bleachers. Plus a bunch of extra goodies from Zia Records here in Las Vegas.
