This episode bring out triggers from my past. I used think that I'm not attractive because I'm 6ft tall and someone, who is a pastor's wife, said to me that men will not date a tall woman and it made me feel some special kind of way. Even though I'm still single, I no longer allow people's opinion on what society or Hollywood picture of what the "perfect couple" looks like.

I love this episode! The first thing I found attractive about my girlfriend was her character, not her physical appearance (not saying she wasn't beautiful!). As we have started dating, I have found her more physically attractive! I think JJ and Kate are on point here.

This episode really hit home for me. I've been blind in one eye since birth and it has been a real struggle for me to not base my beauty and subsequent worth on my eye, on what the world deems a huge flaw. I've had a man on a date tell me to my face that I'd be beautiful if it weren't for my eye. It's been a long journey to see my value and beauty through God's eyes, not that of the world. I am reminded that not only did God make me this way, He doesn't make mistakes. And that the man He has for me will not look past my eye as a flaw, but see it as something unique that God blessed me with for His purpose.

There’s soooooooo much truth to what she said about nasty ungroomed men (with very average looks) wanting (and feeling entitled to) a gorgeous hot woman. These same old geezers also want a MUCH younger woman. They won’t give a second look at a nice looking lady their own age with a good heart and personality.

Great episode. A funny thing, I had a guy overlook me because he had only been seeing me at an adaptive waterskiing event/s… and so I was always “natural” because I was in/around the water 💦 in the hot sun… he finally saw a pic of me with some makeup and hair done, & he said, “if I had known you looked that good, I would have asked you out … 🤔🤨🤣😂😅🤷🏼‍♀️… he married a woman that I have never seen makeup on her.. even in their wedding photos… lol… It’s all good… I am ready to wait on God!

this is so terrible so forgive me for saying it no I don't believe that all people that are six and above are bad people, but I don't like dating men that tall, I'm 5'3 and having to look up at you, I just really dislike, a lot of tall people I've met are very entitled, and it's instantly unattractive, and it kind of makes me nervous, it's trauma I'm working through, but my dad was tall, and he was abusive, my pastor growing up was tall, and not a very good person, I think it's just Association for me. but I attempt to date under 6, because it scares me.

I am on team character and virtue, but maybe we need to lift up this up to God in prayer so we can have the wisdom of the Holy Spirit? Things have changed and women don’t need men for money and are free to marry whoever they want or not marry at all. Women are able to pick on physical attraction maybe for the first time in human history. There is no undoing all the changes that have happened over the past 50 years. The ideal is for people to have a range of attractiveness and character and virtue. When we have these talks it may be helpful to account for these changes? After all there is no going back in time. We literally can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube. I do have a type and a healthy range of physical attraction. Maybe asking how much physical attraction is enough to be satisfied is a better question than telling women and men to settle? Hopefully we can have well balanced conversations in 2024 that take into account all the changes that have occurred in the last 50 years since women entered the workforce enmass?

Body odor is….tough lol it can be fixed if someone maybe just isn’t as attentive but if it’s something where little effort is put in. Mmm….nah lol

The reality is we become less attracted over the years because when we’re married we are looking at that same person every day. It’s sad but familiarity destroys that strong attraction. Even if it was incredible in the beginning. It just fades.
