clayton: "question: has anyone ever taken back a rose before" jesse palmer: *flashes back to 2004 when he gave the wrong girl a rose in a rose ceremony and let said girl stay regardless*
@@rand0mgirly lol yes!!! back in 2004! for perspective on how far back that was: sarah (the youngest contestant on this season) would have been in kindergarten when jesse's season was airing!
2004 is the year I got married… I used to make fun of my mom for watching the bachelor back then! I used to be all “oh they don’t love him! They are lying! This is crazy! How do you believe it?” Lol
How could Clayton give Cassidy a rose after how terribly she interacted with the kids? He always says he wants to be a father and have a family, so didn’t he recognize that she didn’t like being around the kids at all?
This might be TMI but around dogs and kids (I have neither) my personality is similar to Cassidys. Putting myself in her shoes I kind of get it. I don’t dislike kids and dogs, and I will jump out and put my life on the line if they were in danger in my presence but I am sarcastic (like Cassidy and not too playful or engaging) around them. With that said for what Clayton is looking for, that’s not a good look for Cassidy. She would be perfect for someone who didn’t have nor want kids IMO.
Exactly!! He even said in his little speech before handing out the rose that he appreciated the effort of all the women on the date, so I thought that meant he was gonna give the rose to someone who actually put in effort during the date. And Cassidy had the nerve to be all cocky about how she thought the was gonna get the rose. I was shocked he actually picked her 😤
IS HE WEARING A HOODIE UNDER A BLAZER?????? AT A DATE???? I didn't have anything against Clayton before this but I have no choice but to hate him now. Unacceptable 😂
Good god, Shanae is the fucking worst, she somehow pulled out almost every anti-ADHD stereotype that's ever existed in the span of ten minutes. I'm honestly surprised she didn't suggest Elizabeth do yoga.
Clayton seems nice enough but he’s a real doofus who just likes to kiss all day. Honestly I’m glad none of Michelle’s final 4 didn’t make it as bachelor. I wouldn’t want Rodney, Joe or Brandon dealing with this b.s.
It’s honestly impressive, at this point, how this franchise continues to pick some of the most insufferable women. Every single year, the gap in quality between the Bachelor and the Bachelorette widens.
This is all ridiculous 🤦🏽♀️ Enough of the toxic mean girls…. here for the wrong reasons…..blah blah blah…. Bring back the bachelor days of old….I nowadays fast forward most of the show🙄 It’s almost unbearable… and Clayton is already starting to give me Peter vibes🤦🏽♀️
shanae questioning ADHD and saying “it’s something little kids have” made me extremely upset. it’s something i’ve heard my whole life and it brought up so many unpleasant memories. it’s so stigmatised in women and it’s so hard to get a diagnosis. and how she broadcasted someone’s disorder just sat so wrong with me. i hope she doesn’t stay long.
Right?! Also, how she totally discounted the sensory overload issue. Lots of folks get that, its not just ADHD, its also an issue with autism spectrum, PTSD, anxiety disorder (etc). Her reaction to Elizabeth being vulnerable with her is startlingly devoid of empathy, compassion and kindness.
@@jessicaturecek9446 absolutely. i struggle with sensory issues and that environment seems overwhelming for anyone! not just someone who is neurodivergent.
Yes, very ignorant, but not surprising. She seemed to be gassing up for insult talk. I'm sure she'll have a sob story and fake apologizes at the Women Tell All. Hope the tapes! 😊
Yeah, I didn’t think it could get worse than the season when they called someone a call girl with absolutely zero basis. But this is way worse. At this point they are mocking medical diagnoses. Utterly terrible
I was extremely upset with how Shanae was treating Elizabeth. Mocking her ADHD and saying she had it as well as kids have was extremely triggering for me. I work with kids who have ADHD and it's far from an excuse to what Shanae is saying. Also mocking someone else's mental health and trauma really upsetted me since I had people in my past mock my mental illness. Any way I wish everyone is taking care of themselves.
same here, it made me so upset. i have adhd and auditory processing is a huge struggle for me. to see her invalidated like that made me angry beyond words
I have auditory processing issues as a side effect of chemotherapy. It's really similar to Elizabeth. If two people talk at the same time I can't understand for some reason. She's being rude as hell. Nobody with auditory processing issues likes it. It's embarrassing because it's "invisible" and people are so much less than understanding. They don't get how you can hear them but your brain can't attach meaning. Or how when you have difficulty processing multiple streams of input how you can not understand one but get the other. It's just really hard to describe if you don't experience it.
Clayton just lacks so much social awareness. He spent his group date talking to one girl all day, wouldn’t he think about how the other girls would feel?
I don't know man, should we really be happy that anybody is destroyed on national TV for just being kind of shitty? Haven't we all been kind of shitty in our lives
@@mojos7 from my experience, only horrible people use your mental health issues against you to try to hurt you, and/or tell others about it when it's not theirs to tell. Mostly, when someone slips up, they say something insensitive, realize they have said something insensitive, and apologize profusely. It's still not great, but it's a whole lot better than what happened on this show.
@@brianc1309 Elizabeth I wayyy prettier than Shanae. Even Shanae herself knows it which is why she laser focused on making her miserable. I can agree that Shanae is sexier ☝🏻
As someone not watching this season, you legit got me with that Hannah B/Susie edit. I couldn't tell the difference for a hot second. I can't believe they sent Clayton on the same first one-on-one as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
Ugh, Clayton is becoming one of my least favorite leads. All these women are mad about Cassidy pulling him away from the party but seem to forget that he also chose to be absent for his group date to make out with her. I don't think he listened to a word Serene said instead he just licked his lips waiting to make out with her. Such a gross goon...
I didn't even notice the lip licking, but he tweeted about it saying he got a new chapstick or something after that episode so hopefully no more lip licking 😂
The weird part is he didn’t even look like he wanted to be making out with Cassidy. Looked like he just went with it. His lack of backbone is seriously unattractive 🥴
Cassidy is smart but got too confident. She came in day one with the one intention of gaining a following. She had no intention of winning (high competition, high chance of failure) but knows that previous villains get screen time, paradise slots, and a decent following. She decided to go for the villain role instead knowing that no one else would want that spot. I guarantee she told her sidepiece secret to feed producers a storyline that would cement the villain spot for her. Her mistake was doing too much to fast, by pulling out all the villain moves Week 1. Had she slowed down, she would have scored Demi Burnett 2.0. Good play Cass, but you flew too close to the sun. 👏🏻 Edit: Shanae however, is not playing the villain, and is in fact a sour mess of a bitch. 🤮
Omg Shanae makes Cassidy and Matt James’s women look like a group of angels. Everything she did was so uncalled for, immature, and inappropriate. Like that’s not even good drama. Cassidy not vibing with children is funny, drama but this is straight up ableism, high school mean girl, and manipulation. There’s no redemption for Shanae.
agreed. While I don't think Cassidy is here for the right reasons, nothing she's doing is harming anyone except for her own relationship. Plus Clayton is enabling her by just making out with her instead of putting a stop to that. On the flip side though, Shanae is making fun of Elizabeth's mental disorder and that's not OK.
I am definitely not a fan of Cassidy but I feel some of the anger the women have towards her should be directed to Clayton for knowing he was on GROUP date and chose to spend majority of the time with Cassidy.
You are probably right. I don’t mind her sarcasm around them. I would have been pissed if she was a complete jerk to them. I don’t think she was but I can totally understand if someone disagrees with me.
@@SinaSoh Imo not liking kids is totally fine. I don't dislike kids, they aren't my thing. But I would never idk tell them that or be rude about having to spend time with them in a one on one.
Clayton is just so oblivious. He seems emotionally immature. And the way he interacts with the women just feels off. It’s like he’s trying to flirt and idk, tease them?? But he doesn’t seem to build genuine connections with anyone specifically, it just all seems very surface-level?? I don’t know what it is but something is just giving me weird vibes. Maybe it’ll improve in later weeks as he spends more time with everyone but idk.
Yeah, I agree. He seems to me like he hasn’t had enough relationship/life experience to be genuinely be ready to settle down. Doesn’t seem like he knows what he wants at all 😬
Why the show handles the serious issues discussed on The Bachelorette seasons with a decent amount of seriousness (ex: providing information about organizations and helplines about those issues), but then in Bachelor seasons it airs stuff like sex worker accusations being callously tossed around and using ADHD just for drama's sake?
This! Part of the reason it’s painful for me to watch the bachelor. I watch for the love story, sure a sprinkle of drama here and there is great but I hated peters season because of how dramatic and annoying they all were…I see this season is headed in that direction, I really really hope he gets rid of the drama girls soon. I can’t handle this much drama every single week.
Shanae's whole explanation of her more "dominant and overconfident" persona, who is being named after a stereotype of Black women that is "loud" and "ghetto" is uncomfortable (look up: Shanaynay). Then, going on to blast someone's mental health battles out loud without their permission made me so sick. BOOOOOO! She needs to leave asap!
I think the unnecessary noise was brought on by the placement of Clayton's mic ..I don't like all that smacking noise either..but evidently the producers do.
I have so many thoughts, but the argument that because someone "doesn't look at you when they talk, is a red flag", is so frustrating. Some of us are like wounded puppies in this world, that have trauma, or ADHD, or other behavior disorders, that can make it very uncomfortable, and intimidating to maintain eye contact with someone. Especially if they are right in your face😕
That “I’m not the bachelor, I’m a happily married man” line comes from the first ever episode of the bachelor! Chris Harrison said it night one. Idk why they’re making him repeat it though, the Game of Roses podcast has a whole thing about it haha
First of all, the Hannah/Suzy and Colton/Clayton part was so so good 😂😂. But also the clips that you manage to pull from the most random shows that fit PERFECTLY crack me up every single time!! I hope you know we apprISSciate the effort you put in to these videos ❤
Sierra telling Clayton about what Cassidy is probably the only time in the whole show where I approve of someone going to the lead and telling them about another contestant. She still probably shot herself in the foot though.
I don’t know. She said she had a friend with benefits on and off again, that’s not a boyfriend. She also said he was messaging her about things. Who knows how she responded. It seems like it’s not that big a deal.
I know they’ll keep Shanae around for extra drama but can we talk about how much pick me energy that comes off from her. I’m so annoyed how she literally victimizes herself when Elizabeth is the one being constantly attacked by her. Someone needs to check her!
Red Flag by Shanae 🤣🤣🤣 But really some of these girls are red flag central. So. Much. Drama. Honest question: does anyone else think Shanae and Cassidy look a lot alike? Twin villains.
Me and my family had no idea who Hilary duff was, so all of us were like, “why tf is everyone screaming about this rando woman” and it was hilarious. Also I like how we all hated Cassidy at the beginning of the episode, and then by the time shanae got done with her antics nobody cared about Cassidy anymore lmfao
I thought I'd give Clayton a chance because I do believe he is a good person, but omg he's so spineless and uninteresting, and on top of that is now encouraging toxic behavior and drama and it's too many Colton/Peter flashbacks for me.
I hate sharing a name with Cassidy LOL. And the Shanae stuff… was really really hard to watch. The Bachelor needs to make a statement about that behavior.
Cassidy’s behavior for me was really appalling because she used her group date time to go and talk to Clayton as if this was her one on one date. She’s totally selfish about not caring about the kids either.
omg I was just looking at Peter in the hottub thinking: "oh Clayton looks different from this angle" and only when you switched I realized that wasn't Suzy and Clayton. And then the whole time I wasn't sure which clip was the correct one 😅
Shanae treating that girls ADHD as if it was an STD. That is really disappointing. I possibly have mild ADHD because I have trouble looking at people when they speak to me. Shanae getting mad because girls don’t look at her throughout the whole conversation is just petty.
Having trouble looking at people while they speak is far from an only adhd thing. Its also extremely prevalent with trauma and autism. Its not very reasonable to suspect you have a disorder based off relating to a single symptom./nm
I got the feeling that Shanae truly did not understand (or maybe just didn’t want to understand) what ADHD is. Elizabeth was explaining things so clearly and calmly, but it may as well have been a foreign language to Shanae 😬 lol. Awkward to watch.
@@exnihilonihilfit6316 try telling that to my stepdad who grew up without phones and has had it his entire life lol (also me, who didn't have access to electronics at all as a kid either and grew up on books- adhd the whole time) also adhd is much more than just an inability to concentrate, it's really disappointing to see such a shallow perspective these days edit: and i don't really care if you think me and my family are the "2%" or whatever, people like you who say ADHD is largely made up and most people are faking it are the reason it is so hard for me to get treatment so I'm able to function day to day and why people don't believe me when i tell them basic shit about how my brain works. and even if for 98% it were "brought upon themselves" they would still deserve help. it's NOT, but as a layperson i don't know how to convince you of that. you people exhaust me. grow up.
I'm fucking pissed at how Shanae treated Elizabeth. And I'm even more pissed at how none producers stepped forward to stop her. Or even edit those scenes out. They should've removed Shanae the moment she started making light of Elizabeth's ADHD. So much for caring about contestants mental health. Also Clayton sucks as a lead. He's like a lost puppy but not as cute to watch
I feel like each panel of girls for the Bachelor gets cattier and cattier.. I started watching during Colton's season and thought that was bad... then Peters season came and I was like "okay now that's really bad... what could top that? And then Matt's season came and I was like "Okay I'm sure NOTHING can top this. These girls are the most cattiest ever." but this season is starting to top all of those other seasons now...
Can’t imagine what next season will be like 😩 although, I will say that I thought the contestants for Matt’s season were at least better than Peter’s, imo
I feel this group of contestants (with the obvious exceptions of Cassidy and Shanae) are way better than in Peter and Matt's seasons, so far at least. At least the entire house seemed to be on Elizabeth's side rather than siding with the villains, like what happened in Matt's season, where pretty much all of them were awful people
I don’t even want to watch this season, but I’m so invested in the franchise lol I appreciate these recap videos, bc this is the only way I’m going to keep up with this season 🙄
Absolutely unacceptable behavior from Shanae and it was honestly so hard to watch. I don't think Cassidy or Shanae will stay in the show very long and I hope they don't get invited to BIP. Props to Elizabeth for handling the situation as well as she did honestly.
so many adults with ADHD, and PARTICULARLY women, have to grapple with an insane amount of stigma surrounding their diagnosis as it is, and that’s before even beginning to take into account how many barriers there are to adequate and effective long-term treatment. the myth that ADHD is something “only kids have” and that you “grow out of it” as an adult is unbelievably damaging, and I know firsthand how tremendously isolating it feels to be dismissed and mocked by your peers, colleagues, and even doctors the way that Shanae so callously did so to Elizabeth. and she did so out of nothing more than pure spite and jealousy, i mean how low of a person do you have to be to inflict that kind of abuse on someone you barely even know??? literally sickening 🤧
Ewww, I can’t believe he gave the rose to Cassidy after her aggressive kissing. I would be SO turned off by someone forcing themselves on me like that AND after her behavior at the party. Makes me very doubtful about his decision-making abilities. Yuck.
Like any "reality TV" show, this franchise has to be taken with a grain of salt. Lately, these episodes have begun to look suspiciously scripted. Cassidy and Shanae are over-the-top in the "Bad Girl" department, and I am finding it difficult to believe that anyone would brag to a fellow contestant that they had a boyfriend waiting for them back home, while she was miked-up. Some of these women may be sincere, but I think a lot of this drama was intentionally written in.
I also feel like some parts have to be scripted in some ways (ironic that it’s called “reality tv”). But I do really wonder how producers would go about convincing someone to go along with a specific storyline, particularly one that will make them look bad and get lots of public backlash. I wonder if those contestants get paid extra or are promised a spot on Paradise possibly? 🤔
I thought they were bringing Hilary Duff in for a huge HIMYF promotion, as they’ve done in other seasons for movies/shows. I’m honestly so happy they went this route. It’s a loophole for promotion - makes people think “hmm what’s Hilary up to these days,” look it up, and BAM … new show in a few days. P.S. I bet I’m more of a Hilary Duff super fan than Cassidy ;)
i’ve only been watching these recaps so far so it’s all the info i have on these women, but Cassidy gave me THE heaviest “blonde stepmom from The Parent Trap” vibe with those kids 😭
I don't know how Elizabeth handled Shanae being so disrespectful about her ADHD. I would have lost it if someone said that to me and I'm a pretty level headed person.
Wow Shanae reeks of insecurity it's just so obvious that she's an insecure and jealous person. MAJOR red flag. I thought Cassidy was bad but Shanae is even worse in my opinion
I really want to know what people like Cassidy coming on the show are thinking. Like what is your goal? How are you going to talk about your person at home while having a mic on you and expect to get a good edit?
The Bachelor specifically goes out of their way to look for girls exactly like Sha-Nae-Nae. So if you wanna be on the Bachelor/Bachelorette: The more *EMOTIONAL DAMAGE* you are, the better your chances.
Why do Bachelor Men get over the top seasons, and the Bachelorette’s don’t?! Matt had a whole guest house, Clayton has a celebrity. I understand the whole Pandemic but no it’s not fair.
Moment of silence for the casualty in all of this: a happy birthday for Maya :( I hope the producers gave her and friends a proper birthday or the money to have a proper one after this.
The bachelor just gets harder and harder to watch. The only reason I watch is to keep up with fantakes funny commentary. They need to pick actual adults who want love not the hottest or craziest people who audition smh.
I feel like Tayshia and Kaitlyn should’ve just remained the hosts. They need a change up for once and stop being the same white male host. Or in fact, make the host different every season so that way we’re seeing someone new host the show. Or have two separate hosts. One for bachelorette, one for bachelor
Thank you for doing all this hard work and editing! I truly appreciate your effort to sit through this hot garbage of a show and edit and giving us some quality content for us to watch and laugh together. Thank you
