@@MoMo-im5jc Went carnivore for a month, felt much better & the moment I reintroduced the tiniest amount of fruit I literally felt it feeding the bad bacteria in my body almost instantly & the unbearable itchiness in my skin came back. I’m not going to add any sugars back into my diet for the next 2 years. My body needs to heal.
I have experience to say it does. we have a digestive system 8.5 meters long so is very long alike all herbivores. Put food in your mouth n look in the mirror n eat, we chew sideways like all herbivores. Carnivorous have super short digestive systems meant for meat. Colon cancer is the 2nd biggest cancer which exists. Truth Is a lion, it stands its ground and cannot be overridden. You n all the others are living in illusion. Meat has zero fibre so it rots in gut causing colon cancer and other problems. Even if you consume a bit of fibre. I fasted 42 days and did a number 2 the whole time which showed mass poop was rotting inside me n I ate lots of fibre. I was full of poop just like you are now... now my farts have zero smell now.
Fun Fact: You can light and heat an average home for an entire day from the gas of eating one bowl of lentils. 😂 I'm carnivore just over a month, never going back to that inflammatory fart food.
Fermenting and rotting are kind of the same thing. The only difference is that fermententing is a bi product of rot with the added sugar from those same plant based foods!!! Wake up world more animal deaths and poison come from the poison that is sugar that we only get from plant products, not to mention the actual plant toxins that are in all plants!!! Oh, also, the amount of toxins we spray on are plants to grow them in mass amounts, and we know what toxin that is!!! Please wake up world 🙏 ❤
Believe what you want. Doesn’t change that fermentation is rotting, even if it’s done in a controlled way. That said, our digestive system can tolerate some degree of rotting meat when it is in good condition.
@@angellara7040 no, and I don’t see the relevance. Two days of rotting must be more significant than you let on or pooping broccoli would be much more painful. It isn’t human tissue or secretions that break it down.
This man actually changed my Life. I followed his carnivore diet and advice but I just ate hamburger meat and cheese . Drank water mostly and in 4 months went from 300lbs to 230. My severe psoriatic arthritis and severe psoriasis went completely away and didn’t come back until I went back on my regular diet of eating anything I want also my hope blood pressure went down to normal as well as my cholesterol. I’ve done this enough now to know, it absolutely works and I truly believe meat is good for you.
Meat directly digests by chewing and then swallowing into the stomach with strong acids & enzymes. Meat is digested in the stomach by a highly acidic environment. It certainly doesn’t digest or rot in the gut. Once completely digested in the stomach it will enter upper small intestine like a milkshake consistency for the amino acids to be absorbed. All the aminos are absorbed though small intestines. No meat or aminos end up in the gut or ascending, descending or transverse colon. Carbohydrates need an alkaline environment of upper small intestine to digest, nuts seeds are often seen in colonoscopy bags on such individuals. Yes it’s more than likely vegetation will not be completely digested and will to some extent rot in the gut. But rotting by decomposition from friendly bacteria on insoluble fibre is totally normal. Believe Dr Berry and myself no meat rots in the gut.
Wattes, a Magor food company, in New Zealand, thirty years developed a strain of navy beans, used as canned bake beans, which does not cause excess gas which farts . Fart free, New Zealand cans of baked beans.
There are food combinations that do not play well together. One example is melons. Melons should not be eaten with any other food because they take way longer to digest than other foods. It doesn’t actually rot in your colon but it does stay in your colon undigested layer after layer.
For me, the healthiest diet consists of meat, eggs, dairy, nuts, bread, pasta, cooked veg. Listed in order of most consumed to least. I mostly eat meat, eggs, nuts and dairy for protein. Bread and pasta often for energy and to feel full after a meal. And occasionally cooked vegetable for vitamins. I usually delay breakfast for three to five hours after waking. So if I wake up at 6 or 7 am I will wait until 11 or 12 to eat first. Rarely snacking, unless I'm doing some activity that requires replenishment before a later meal around 3 or 4. Dinner normally between 6 and 8. And if I feel the need, I'll have a glass of milk and a biscuit before bed. I drink water often. On any given day, I drink about 6 to 8 16floz of water. For my size I believe it's sufficient, and there are days when I will drink much more due to necessity. Rarely drink anything other than water, sweet tea is my favorite cheat drink, but I enjoy a soda probably once a month if I eat out. Coffee is also very rare. Alcohol almost never, I keep liquor around, but never make the time to drink or have the desire or a good reason to drink. I recommend nicotine in some form. I choose nicotine lozenges, vaping, and occasionally I will use tobacco products like camel snus. I definetly recommend smokeless options, although vaping is quite pleasurable. The lozenges/snus is excellent. It might not be the best for everyone, but for me it helps reduce my stress and anxiety, while boosting testosterone and improving libido. Bathing is also very important for health. I take a cool/cold shower every two to three days, never longer than that as I will accumulate too many oils in my hair and skin. Bathing too often can be bad for your skin and hair, they require some oil in order to be healthy. Never use lotions or creams unless you have some type of skin irritation or chronic dryness. My skin is very clear and hair is very soft. I've had many complements on my complexion. Never use deodorant, especially the ones that use aluminum, use parfum with a scent that compliments your natural odor. The blend of these scents will maintain your pheromones while appealing to others. Find a good variety of scents to use for different seasons or conditions. The final aspect of wellness and health for me is rest. I usually get at least 8 hours of restful sleep. Sometimes less, maybe 5 or 6, sometimes more like 10. But it's important to get quality sleep. If you struggle with falling asleep try warm herbal tea, different scents like lavender, or incorporate more exercise in your routine. I didn't mention excercise bc it should be mandatory for all people, regardless of age or ability. Most people who fail to excercise are self conscious or lazy. Don't do that. Get your ass up and do something active, there are people in wheelchairs that get to the gym, no excuse. I mostly do weight lifting, but also enjoy running, hiking, biking, or ocean swimming. Excercise doesn't have to be boring, i like to play sports like basketball or soccer. It will also improve your coordination and confidence. RIP if you read all this lol.
I believe all foods begin to rot after Ingestion....I believe this is called digestion. If someone says certain foods rot in your colon or body, they are just not educated enough to say digest instead of rot. This is absolute common sense. 😂
I consider myself a ketovore, eat lots of fatty meat; HOWEVER… Fiber does have a purpose and that purpose is to aid in moving that meat through the colon. Research done by placing inflated balloons in the colon and measuring the pressure created by segmentation indicates that diverticula form because of a lack of sufficient bulk in the colon during segmentation. The powerful contractions, working against insufficient bulk, create a pressure so high that it causes the colonic walls to blow out. I hate it when people say that we don’t digest fiber, no, we don’t digest fiber it is used to aid in the digestion of everything else reference: Tortora and Anagnostakos principles of anatomy and physiology, fourth edition.

My previous boss has a friend who is one of those surgeons that does those operations where they remove part of intestines due to excess undigested meat. He stopped eating red meat about 30 years ago.
Some gastro doctor told my husband to make sure he took more fiber by taking pysllium husk. She said that most people do not eat enough so just take the supplement. I thought ummm I don't want to poop so much fiber. Is pooping a sign of being healthy? Waste is waste. So the fiber must be waste and the body want to get rid of it. So how is fiber super important to us?
I was 14 when I saw Beverly Hills cop in the theater and I still remember Rosewood telling Taggert while they were on a stake out (no pun intended), that the average American has 10 pounds of undigested red meat in his bowels or something like that. That always stuck with me and I’m 54 now.😂
Do you think this has any correlation to the pictures you see of lifelong vegans how they look emaciated and sickly and then you see somebody that's on a carnivore diet who looks vibrant and healthy?
It only gets stuck in there if you eat it with other foods (plants or I suspect even dairy and eggs). In my option to avoid confusion on your digestive system, eat one type of food at a time.
I can’t this kind of sh*t is still believed by most people. It’s 2024 and we have the internet, yet people all over the world continue to bask in ignorance and superstition.
When I went on carnivore I lost 150lbs. I went from pooping every day to once every 7-10 days. There was just nothing to poop. Added some cards back to my diet and now I poop every day. Would really love to just eat meat but I can't afford it.
Vegetarian vegan carnivore it doesn’t matter people are entitled their opinions doesn’t make them right just makes them uneducated. My ex was a vegetarian she would not eat anything that was cooked that had meat on it,no matter how clean it was. some people just think differently doesn’t make them right it’s their choice
Our body has lots of bacteria in balance. We have yeast in balance in our intestines. I'm on ppi's and it is so hard to digest food when you don't produce enough stomach acid. I wish there was an alternative for severe gerd and heartburn due to a spasm in the opening of the stomach from the esophagus.
you need veggies for vitamins and mineral to help the body function. Meat is fine but you better have the vitamins and minerals to help your body function properly otherwise you will get worms that will nest in your body and feed off of the rot and eventually take all nutrition from the body.
What about home grown sprouts??? I’ve been listening to “The Sprout Man” who really promotes eating your own grown sprouts. A meat and sprout diet ?? Would that be good??!Thank you !!
Humans are whats called an omnivore. We are supposed to eat meat and vegetables. Nuts seeds..etc. weve known this for a long time.. eat what you want. I want some meat n veggies.
If being decomposed by bacteria for nutrients is rotting then meat also rots... It is also broken down by bacteria. So if i ate nothing but meat id never shit right? Cause its all absorbed?

I love the myth that there is 10 pounds admitted food always in your colon. Funny, every abdominal surgery I have done as a first assistant has never revealed this to be true! The colon is NOT laden with old rotting food!!

@@scorchedearth4248 no, vegetables don't digest, meat does, pay attention. No, meat doesn't take longer to digest, it just has what your body needs so you stop being hungry. You get hungry sooner after vegetables not because they digest faster, but because your body wasn't satisfied, and still wants meat. Meat is food, plants are just fiber, not food, they don't fulfill what you need so you stay hungry. Your body knows what you need, when you eat what you need, you stop being hungry all day long.
@Gnaritas42 You pay attention. Vegetables do digest, but not completely. I understand everything you said. What in my previous replies made you feel the need to try to show how smart you think you are?
funny because, I had something that had just a few tiny shrimps, not the tipical ones and i didnt react to it, I dont know if it was cooked together or if its because they were too small, I may have to try the normal size shrimp and see what happens.

ive recently changed from heavy meat / fish / egg diet , with minimal veges, to broccoli , cauliflower, and lentil heavy diet (still good amount of chicken). The difference? with meat i would hardly need to go to toilet. i.e.e it all gets absorbed. With this new diet? man, the amount of crap im ejecting, twice a day, tons of it, then the gas!! the stench, i could power the nations gas supply. Messy smelly disgusting. Im not so sure im healthier for it. I had decent vit C etc before from fruits, eggs & nuts.
@@fredfinks Thats just your body’s initial reaction to changing to a high fiber diet since you are consuming way more vegetables. With time your body will adapt, but for the time being I would suggest taking it easier on the fibrous veggies until you are more accustomed.
Degree in Biotechnology here. Its normal to have bacteria eat the food in your intestine. Its a necessary part of breaking down food. These bacteria causing the food to "rot" in your gut are actually helping your body break down your food so you can absorb it. For this reason, a varied diet is ideal. Meat and veggies are both good!!!
and you get gas and feel bloated from this breaking down of plantmatter in a bodypart that is not designed for it. This decomposition needs its own organ to happen effectively.. like the large cecum we used to have a very long time ago. Doesnt the fact that our plantorgan is shriveled to almost nothing, indicate that our plant EATING should also be down to practically nothing? Meat is dissolved in the stomach, and gets almost completely absorbed on its way to the colon, and may be completely gone by the time it would have reached the colon. Plantmatter is is not dissolved in the stomach, it struggles its way through the intestine, fiber clogging the system , slowing everything down, and preventing nutrients from reaching the intestine lining to be absorbed. As it rots, gasses are produced, and you either fart a lot of smelly gasses, or you get intense pain from unreleased gas. By the time it reaches the exit point, it is a mess that has spent days goiung through you, containing mostly fiber, and the rest is a lot of nutrients that you never got to. No, plants are not good for you.
@Goldenhawk583 That is simply not true. The body doesn't digest the fibre and cellulose in plants (which is the stuff you're referring to, e.g. it was believed the appendix used to digest cellulose years ago but now doesn't cause humans eat less plants). The body does digest the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants present in your veggies and fruits. Antioxidants are important for the prevention of oxidative stress in your cells, and there is the prevention of DNA damage, and therefore the prevention of cancer. Plants are good for you.
@@chibrina read that and try to think.. we cannot digest ( break apart into usable pieces) plantmatter and fiber, yet magaically we get all the good stuff? Nope.. we dont, we may get a tainy amount of it, along with toxins and antinutrients., Plants do not wish to be eaten, apart from some fruits and berries that are laden with sugar to lure eaters. If plants are good for you, go outside in your local wilderness, and harvest edibles there.. enough to feed your family every day for a year. Your mouth waters when you see grasses and leaves right? all the wild veggies? Most vefffies we eat are less than 200 years old.. we never evolved to eat those.
1930's and he was Dr Kellogg, and meat was deemed sinful by a religion known as LDS in the 50's, so they along with Kellogg pushed for Agri and grains. So of you follow the yellow brick road from around 1965 to present, every possible bad health condition has quadrupled, before 1960 people were much healthier, despite smoking much more, eating more meats, etc. In japan they now live to 87, the longest lived average average age of any developed nation and china is full of smokers from age 11 to 90 and they also grow their own tobacco with 90% less chemicals in it and they live well past 81. The states longevity is boosted by modern far ma meds to 76, when its really about 72. India is also near 83.
Thanks again, Dr. Berry, for sharing the TRUTH!! A few months ago I had a colonoscopy, and they gave me a list of foods forbidden and those allowed for a few days before the colonoscopy, and went over this list with me. I was allowed LOW RESIDUE FOODS, and the first one was oatmeal, so I thought I was in trouble. Then veggies I could eat, but NOT legumes and many other veggies. But eventually down in the list was meat and eggs and I could have unlimited amounts of those, so I told her I would be just fine!! So that confirmed what I had learned about carnivore!! Too bad they didn't put the meat and eggs at the TOP of the list!! ❤
Hi! For future reference there is a thing called a capsule endoscopy as an alternative to colonoscopy. You swallow a tiny camera and it transmits images to a receiver on your hip. Then you just poop it out. No more anesthesia and going up the butt! 😂

I never ate red meat or butter or whole dairy my whole life because I was led to believe it would make me fat. For 20 years, I would workout like crazy but never built muscle or abs. Just stayed thin. I was always skinny but flabby. I’ve now been on the carnivore diet and I will never go back.
For years I was vegetarian - ate the same way you did. Ran long distances daily, or hiked. Still, I was “skinny fat” and didn’t feel well most of the time. Totally regret those years and my low fat, high carb, vegetarian diet. I believed all the myths about animal foods, cholesterol, and fat. In my mid 30’s I started to study nutrition science and realized all the flaws in nutrition/epidemiological research. I started eating eggs, beef, chicken, wild fish. Started lifting weights. For the first time in my life (and after 2 babies) I had muscle definition and I could see my abs. Just today I had a vegan family member tell me that meat I eat is dirty, and that animals eat their own feces. We get our meat (grass fed/finished), eggs/poultry (pasture raised) from the farmer’s market and other local sources. Meanwhile, they eat impossible “meat” and all the other ultraprocessed vegan substitutes in the name of health 🙄🤦🏼♀️
I guess I'm lucky I didnt have that much self discipline. I ate lots dairy, some eggs, not much meat bc I too was convinced it was unhealthy. But stayed thin by smoking :( Quit smoking, put on only about 10 lbs. I started carnivore almost 2 weeks ago and no more bloating, gas, nothing, and I sometimes break the diet because I find it hard, but I’m sticking on it to see when I can be on full carnivore. I’m loving it, thanks for your work Dr Berry ❤

I've been creeping closer and closer to carnivore (which helped with decades of issues I just called allergies to unknown substances for lack of understanding). I too have a tough time w all meat on occasion, but Neisha had an excellent vid on the pholosophy of "carnivore" vs "meat-based" and how to loosen up with terminology while remaining true to whole foods that you know you can tolerate, experiment a little with flavors. Once a year in local berry season, I hop in my car and drive to a farm for raspberry chocolate scones, to die for. This year, I ate 3. They made me so sick, I was throwing up for 2 hours. I still like berries, they never make me ill, so believe it was flour and oil I cant handle any more. Never again! I plan to stay "meat based" with a calm body forever - meat, cheese, eggs, a few nuts and berries (I love them with fulll fat cream), or small occasional salad, forever. Dr. Barry is right on all of this.
Quite a few carnivores eat berries in season with no issues, the trick is to eat them as you would have in the wild. Picking and eating a few at a time, maybe a couple handfuls from a bush before doing something else. Modern cultivated berry plants have more berries per plant and more sugar in the fruit, so wild berries should be your measure. ❤
Eat more fiber my man, sounds like your gut biome is weak and u got it adapted to your current diet, but it won't help u in the long run, if u don't start on it
Seriously. What are we supposed to eat? I can't eat two or three meat based meals a day. So.many diets recommend only veggies, nuts nd seeds with no meat. I wish I.knew what to believe. Dr. Berry is so very kind, I don't mean to criticize, I'm just confused.😢
3 years ago I thought as you. Did Whole30 August of 2021 and went carnivore in September. Reversed pre-diabetes, panic attacks gone, heart palpitations gone, sleep great, every blood marker improved dramatically, lost 40 lbs. First couple weeks are tough getting over the mental aspect of it. After that it became the easiest way to eat and feels very natural. Very sustainable.
