Since you're moving out of the studio next year and I know you love organisation, I'd love to see some kind of organisation video for your new home setup 👀 I'm not sure how far your interest goes with that but would also love to see you try out different organisation methods!! But you know, take it easy, no need to rush 😉
As someone who left the beginning of a career, primarily to pursue the opportunity I had to transition to homemaking/motherhood, I find it so empowering to hear other women tell their “quitting” stories! There’s no rules- we shouldn’t feel like failures for leaving a thing we don’t want for the possibility of something else that brings us actual peace.
I know it's not as easy to say when it comes to making money as your career, but when it comes to views, quality over quantity is so important. Those bigger videos you made that "tanked" were extremely engaging and meaningful to me and many others!!!!
The penis cookie decorating video is one of my favorite video's of the entire year, it was so interesting to hear men talk about their experiences with masculinity and I wish there was more of this kind of content online. I watched it with my bf and we both really liked the format and had some great convos watching this ❤
LOVED the shoutout to the Schultzzie Collective - I absolutely adore what Sierra did with her channel and I'm equally excited for your transition into what you're doing with keeping this channel as well. It's so interesting getting to hear these perspectives from two different women whom I hugely admire navigate something like this. Overall just so excited for you and ready to be rooting from the sidelines for it all😊
This might sound weird, but as someone who's going through a similar but less voluntary level of change and really struggling, I really appreciate getting some insight into how this looks for a mentally healthier person.
I’ve always liked watching you, but never liked sex content. It’s just not an area that I really want to get advice on or think about too much. So this shift is totally aligned with my interest on your channel lol
I feel like you’re about to have a year of metamorphosis! Cozy up in a cocoon of rest for a while, rearrange some stuff, and come out ready to learn how to do a whole new thing! I’m excited for you and your future 😊
The thing is with sierra schultzie is that I watched for her not her friends, so if I wanted to watch them I would follow them, so her rebranding doesn’t work for me as a viewer. Like I want to watch you, it’s not the sex Ed stuff I watch for, it’s your personality anything you put out I wanna watch, but the more Hannah channel was what I prefer to watch behind the scenes etc.
I think 'explore and learn' is a actually a great mindset! Let me explain this in an unnecessarily scientific manner: in some areas of machine learning (AI), there's the concept of 'exploration vs. exploitation', which refers to investing resources for learning vs actually making use of what your learn. In the learning phase, mistakes you make are not penalized because the goal isn't to succeed at the task, but to learn. As a very goal-oriented person, it's been really helpful calling things 'the exploration phase' and explicitly allowing myself to make potentially bad choices (one example would be looking for new routes to bike to work and ending up biking longer than usual). So I think having 'explore and learn' as a theme could be a great idea! After all, taking some risks is the best way to learn stuff.
I understand what you mean about setting up all of these great videos and then not seeing great results, because even as just a youtube viewer, I've been confused about what to watch this last year! I'm 28 and a lot of the content I used to love from different channels just isn't quite catching my interest anymore. I also have less time to watch and it's usually while doing housework. I wonder if there are others at a similar stage right now. I've loved the videos on this channel the most lately and would probably just watch random things you're working on or feel like doing 😊 I hope you enjoy this resting period and look forward to seeing where life takes you next 🎉
Oh gosh. I recently 'quit' a relatively successful career after the maternity leave of my second child. The 'failure' part of this video hit hard! I spent ages thinking I would be a failure for quitting but if I had continued I would have felt like a failure at home as well. Good luck Hannah, I realised the other day that we are still so young (I am 3 days older than you I think!) and have so many working years ahead of us - who knows what is round the corner!
A lot of the things you said you were feeling when returning to work I felt too after going back after maternity leave. The juggle between working and mumming is one I've found hard. I love my job and want to keep doing it but sometimes feel I can't give it my all because I have so many things going on. Its exhausting.
I found your channel as a result of the rope bondage video, so I haven't been a long-term viewer. That said, the longer episodes that you mentioned not doing well in the analytics were standout favorites. In your transition I so appreciate how open you have been about how complicated it is to weigh family and work, and the way you have repeatedly highlighted the importance of filling your own well, rest, and balance. You're the kind of example we need out there.
I know that this is a bit random, but since you'll be moving out of the studio, maybe you could do the video on the studio gear you use and the stuff you will be/won't be keeping. As someone that makes videos myself, I'm always curious about other people's filming gear and their opinions of it.😅
As someone who is also interested in project management (though in the arts and events space) I’m super curious to see what this new chapter has in store for you! Have a restful break :)
I only know you from this channel Hannah,so I’m delighted you’re carrying on with it!! Love the range of topics and how personable you are. Looking forward to watching more in 2024 🎉

Just thinking . . . instead of a spice rack behind your dining room table, why not just transfer your bookcases wholesale? Vertical storage! Paint them orange!

Hannah, I wonder if some of the problems with views is the age of your audience? Personally, I am 60 and found you due to your ostomy but have continued to watch because I enjoy your pregnancy/family/day-in-the-life videos. I don't believe I've ever watched your other channel, as the topics just don't resonate with me. Just a thought .....
I feel like even if you were super successful with your other channel this year, made loads of money, got loads of views etc. You would still be leaving it and in this position. I just think you weren't excited about it anymore and ready to move on.
