@@Lavivaldezz u can use it paren , pwede siyang maging nornal skin care mo kase very gentle lang siya and hindi siya yung pampabalat na rejuv, its like a normal skincare set na maganda ingredients hehe hope it helps

Rejuvenating sets really damaged my skin when I was in 9th Grade. My skin was like leathery and shiny. My skin has thinned. My skin barrier was compromised big time. I was not also using any sunscreen kase noon. Nung grade 12 lang nag start mag heal ung face ko kase I switched to a mild routine which healed my skin barrier a bit. Dito lang rin po ako nag start mag use ng sunscreen. Niacinamide is the ingredient that helped my skin to fix itself. Ngayong nasa 2nd yr college na ako, I’ve learned a lot. Marami po ako natututuhan sa channel po ninyo doc. ❤️❤️ My current routine: AM Cleansing (often water lang po sa umaga) Sunscreen (a lot of sunscreen 😬) PM Gentle Cleanser Exfoliating Toner (once a week lang kase po sensitive ang skin ko) Niacinamide Serum Skin Type: Oily, Acne-Prone, Sensitive ❤️

Really skeptical about rejuv sets before since I'm well aware of what some of the ingredients you mentioned and what rejuv does to your skin if you use it for long. I use Dr. ALVIN'S original Rejuv set, and it works for me, happy with the result. I recommended it to my friends and they thank me for sharing it with them. Nawala yung pekas nila, pumino at pumuti ang kutis nila. Happy with the result!

Thanks Doc sa info. Before gusto ko din mag try ng rejuv set dahil sa dark acne marks ko. Gusto din kasi natin ng instant result. Di ko na tinuloy gumamit dahil combination ako ng oily and sensitive skin. Nag focus na lang ako sa cetaphil cleanser, moisturizer at sunscreen. Super importante talaga ang sunscreen.
I actually do consider using rejuvenating sets these past few months but I'm afraid with the possible side effects so I've stayed with my regular skincare routine instead (I have oily and sensitive skin). However, because rejuvenating sets are overhyped on social media and many people believe they work, I might give them a try. Thank you for the pieces of advice you shared, doc.

When I had a breakout, it was very tempting for me to try rejuvs doc since they usually show faster results. Still opted for gentle products such as cleansers. Thanks for this doc ❤

I used rejuv set for 12 years. But I don't use their exfoliating cream that much. I only use it once a week. I brought it with me when I visited my dermatologist here in US. I showed her the ingredients. She said there's nothing wrong with the ingredients. But she told me not to use the exfoliating cream that much.

Lagpas na sa purging stage nagkaroon ako ng malalaking cystic acne breakout. Hindi na sa usual spot na nagkakaroon ako ng pimples. Tapos yung mga closed comedones ko hindi na natanggal. Mild skincare na lang ako pero problema ko na lang yung mga closed comedones ko

If you dont have skin issues and are still young, a good cleanser, a moisturizer and sunscreen would be good for starters :) no need to invest in too many products and ingredients just yet

Hi Doc. Glad you made a video about this. I actually don’t have any severe skin problem so I just use basic and gentle skin care such as facial cleanser, moisturizer and also sunscreen. I am actually afraid to use rejuvenating sets since I also have sensitive skin so I think it would just do more harm than good. But I actually want to start adding actives in my skincare since I am in my late thirties already so I would like something that would fight skin aging and also help me minimize my pores. I am actually intrigued to try Hello Glow since both you and Jan Angelo recommend it.

Hindi ako talaga hiyang sa rejuv namamaga ang Mukha ko andami ko ng natry...sobrang hapdi pa Kaya tinigilan ko na yan kasi same Lang effect kahit iba iba ang mga natry ko. Yun experience ko sa rejuv halos same sa maxi at rdl. Kaya Naka tretinoin na lang ako. So far hindi katulad sa rejuv yun side effects. Very manageable

Hello doctor , I am from the United States and some sellers from Phillipines sell the skin magical rejuvenating set here , I have been using this since 2015 and this is the only set that makes my acne go away , the scars go away and give me even tone as I have hyper pigmentation on my forehead and chin area . If this set is damaging to the skin what should I do ?
You're skin can recover pa naman as long as you discontinue using these irritating ingredients al together. And i guess it depends on which batch. If im not mistaken the very first rejuv sets -- not sure abt the brands -- were the ones that contained the HQ and tret and somewhere along the way they modified their formulation.

hi doc! i’m so happy that you made this video because this is a topic not commonly talked about. as a teenager with acne, i’ve been using the same rejuvenating set for 4 years. although my pimples go away sometimes, my face has become very sensitive to triggers (like temperature) and my cheeks are ALWAYS red. certain parts got dry as well, i think the skin barrier broke. thanks to this video, i’ve realized that i’ve been using very harsh products on my face that they become red. i use this set with kojic soap which i think is also too harsh for my damaged skin. what else should i buy? please help me, i want to get rid of redness of my cheeks because i get bullied at school for it ☹️

I suggest a consultation so you can be properly assessed and be given the right recommendations, ung ibang OTC products kc temporarily improve acne but usually bumabalik
Hello Doc ❤ I tried using Hello Glow 5days ago at grabe nangyari sa mukha ko. I immediately stop Doc kasi first time na nagreact ng ganon ang skin ko sa product nato. Namamaga lalo na sa ilalim ng mga mata ko, sobrang kati buong mukha ko, naglabasan lahat ng pre-pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, namumula din yung mga tiny bumps na yun na halos mapa na sa buong mukha ko, sobrang rough din ng buong mukha ko, dry and flaky as well. I switch to Cetaphil cleanser for a while d talaga kinaya ng face ko ang Hello Glow Set Doc😊 I thought all along na purging stage pero hindi e , break out na malala talaga sya kasi hindi naman ako mapimple before using this set.

That can be your first step, oil can be helpful in removing oil and make up from your skin but i would recommend that you still rinse it off with a gentle cleanser :)

Hello, i also tried helloglow rejuv set pang 3days ko na ngayon and naka experience ako ng side effects. Biglang naging rough yung skin ko and nagkabutlig siya na maliliit. Ano po kaya yung pwede kong gawin?
Sobrang maliliit lang po na butlig pero meron po siya all over my face. Nag-ask po ako sa helloglow page ang sabi naman po purging daw po yung nangyari sa face ko nagsend po ako ng photos dun. And sabi po na kasama daw po yun sa process. Pero much better po siguro na itigil ko po muna, thank you po doc.

I've been using this for 3 days po and nangangati po pag gising ko ngayon lang makati padin and para pong rashes yung nasa may baba ko pero nalilighten naman po yung pimple marks ko
I wanna try rejuv,however, I don’t like the shiny skin whitish and redish finish. I’m contented with my morena skin. The ones I saw who have used rejuv has a very different face color in their face from their neck; You can tell that it’s from using rejuv.
Hi doc! What steps/skincare routine/products can you recommend for those transitioning out of rejuv sets? I've been using it for a while na po since it's the only thing that helped my hormonal acne. Although i still get acne from time to time, it's not as bad as before. I'm worried that I'll breakout once I stopped using it. I want to stop it kasi mabilis po mamula ng face ko and been reading some articles about long term consequences of using rejuv sets. .
I don't recommend rejuv sets for acne but if you want to transition from rejuv sets i suggest u go back to the basics -- cleanser, moisturizer (if needed) and sunscreen. For specific recos for your skin type and issues, i recommend a proper consultation with a dermatologist :)
Dra. I have a cleanser with these ingredients. Aqua, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium PCA, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Ctirus Junos Fruit Extract, Phenoxy ethanol, Lactic Acid, Fragrance. What can u say po?
Hi, doc! I think I have Acanthosis Nigricans, I haven't went into a derma clinic yet. It's so frustrating to see because it's so dark and uneven. Do you know any homemade treatments that would help with this? I haven't been able to get out of the house because of the omicron variant cases in my city has been very rapid.
No homemade treatments that I know of that are effective. A proper consultation with a dermatologist so that you can talk more about your concern is my suggestion.

This is really helpful! I just wanna ask doc if it is normal to feel stinging when you are a first timer using a rejuv set. But continously using it, the stinging when using the soap and toner is tolerable. I use kojic acid soap doc and my skin is peeling.
Thank you! I dont recommend ung set with the soap and toners and creams containing a combination of many irritating ingredients like 2-3 exfoliants, 2-3 lightening agents and a retinol ☺️

Pero once na tinigil ko na babalik na naman ang acnes ko and lalong nag kakaroon ng red marks. May I ask po if okay lang po tong routine ko? Am : Cetaphil cleanser Tinkerskin cleanser with salicylic acid ( once every other morning) Face republic sunscreen ( with niacinamide) Pm Cetaphil cleanser BHA/AHA toner face republic Niacinamide serum I'm still thinking pa if i need to put moisturizer after the niacinamide serum. Looks ok naman. No need to add another moisturizer if this regimen works for you na :) if nagkaka acne ka parin u can try other OTC ingredients na anti acne like benzoyl peroxide. I have a video on mild acne :)

As a skinthusiast I really appreciate your effort in informing the public from a professional perspective. Also, I would like to ask if it's alright that I'm only using the hydroquinone + tretinoin toner (0.025% + 4%) from the rejuvenating set, Brilliant Skin? I'm not using the cream that comes with the set cause it contains similar active ingredients from the toner (HQ + Tret), which I find redundant and damaging for the skin since the toner is already strong for its tretinoin ingredient. I replaced the rejuv cream with a moisturizer na lang to combat the side effects of tretinoin. I also use sunscreen in the morning although I don't really go out of the house. Is my routine okay po for mild acne? I'm thinking of adding Benzol Peroxide as a spot treatment for big zits, but BP cancels out tretinoin daw po?
Hi mickey i dont recommend long-term and unsupervised use of HQ especially if you dont have pigmentation issues. Yes bp oxidizes tretinoin and i dont suggest that they be used together.

I used rejuvenating set in the market and all I got is a bad breakout.It is soo frustrating,I stopped using it then just drink water nalang and iwas sa mamantikang pagkain,gladly nag heheal na siya.Pag nagkaka pimple ako ngayon hindi na siya yung namumula na talaga at mabilis na din siyang magheal. Factor talaga ang food intake ng tao minsan kaya nagkaka breakout. I got a lot of pimples upon this. But right now it's all pimple marks and dark spots that remained. I plan to change my skincare right now. What can you recommend for me po?

Ive never tried rejuvenating sets. Lahat ng skin care ko ay nasa kitchen i.e olive oil, lemon, turmeric/kastur manjula, milk, honey and black coffee. I believe pag gusto mo ng magandang skin, dapat sa inside ang target kaya kumain kayo ng avocado or apples and green veggies at mg decaffeinated tea kayo like hatomugi tea.
Gumamit ako Nyan, after a week sa paggamit ko ok nman Ng pinkish Ang face ko, but after 2weeks pansin ko Ng nag rered Ang face ko, pero tinuloy ko parin hanggang lumabas ako Isang araw mga 12 something pm, kinabukasan nagulat nalng ako bigla nag brown face ko, now parang pekas na lalo na sa my ilong ko, nasira face ko, cguro hndi suitable Sakin.
Some rejuv sets can really do that, especially ung may mga irritating ingredients na sama sama sa isang product. This is why I decided to make this video. Thanks for sharing.

You can check out my video on Acne treatment, if your issue is just comedones then topical ingredients like benzoyl peroxide (not rejuv set) may be enough. However if super dami, I recommend a consultation.
My friend gave me a rejuv set,try ko lang daw. I am a kind of person na di talaga ma pimple,safeguard lng sapat na, then I use it 🥴 akala ko basta sabon lang with toner. Dun nagsimula ang skin problem ko, nag red ang face ko. Nagkaroon tlga ako ng alergic reaction that's why nagpaconsult na ako sa derma. Then may binigay sa akin na medication like tretinoin lotion 0.05. Minsan may break out parin ako pero stop na po muna ako since I am 5 weeks pregnant now. Good Day Dr. Gaile, Permission to post and ask regarding the Fairy Skin Rejuvenating set. I used this product po nung hindi ko po alam na pregnant ako for 7weeks. Bali sa loob po ng 7 weeks na pregnant ako, e 7weeks ko din po nagamit itong rejuvenating set. Then naihinto ko po yung rejuvenating nung nalaman ko pong pregnant ako at saka ako nakapag pa ultrasound and take vitamins especially folic acid. May masama po bang mangyayari kay baby pag po nakagamit ako ng rejuvenating set since week 1 of pregnancy? Nope, hindi naman. Most topical products and ingredients do not go to our blood stream :) but may mga ingredients lng talaga na we avoid using pag pregnant because of the side effects of their oral counterparts (eg. retinoids)

I started using rejuv set pero im planning to stop it. Balik nalang siguro ako sa simpling linis sa mukha kasi nagkapimple na ako after using it na dati na di pa ako gumagamit wala naman. Palagay ko may ingredients na di hiyang sa akin. Depende po ata talaga sa skin natin.
Oh my,8months ago na pala nakalipas,..di na po ata talaga ako magtry uli ng mga rejuv, andito pa yong mga acne marks..nagkabreakout po talaga ako dahil doon..hopefully,mawala na po talaga ito tuluyan
I'm using rejuvinating sets for over 6years now!Ito lang hiyang sa akin..Matapang yung toner kaya hinahalo ko sa xa sa tubig so di pinkish o namumula ang mukha ko parang natural lang dahil for acne purpose lang naman.

I used to apply tretinoin when I was young for acne, I have few pimple marks and fine lines. I am 60 years old now. What am i going to apply on the days when I am not applying Tretinoin? What do you suggest Doc? I have sun spots in my arms and age spot in my thigh, what am i going toapply Doc? Dr. Dray said 20% azelaic acid or adapalene. Some doctors say vitamin c serum with ferulic acid in the morning. I want to buy niacinamide too. Iam using niacinamide serum of luxe organix but it is too expensive. It has 10% niacinamide and tranxenamic acid & 1% zinc. Is zinc very important ingredient to include in niacinamide serum? Dermorepublique has formulated 2% alpha arbutin + niacinamide+ HA darkspot corrector serum. Is this ok for hyper pigmentation? Thank you Doc. You can use tretinoin everyday, no problem, and you can add other moisturizers after if you like. I would stay away from high concentration exfoliants especially if you have dry skin as they tend to be irritating. Niacinamide as an ingredient can be used with almost anything and is helpful in those with pigmentation problems. Arbutin and tranexamic acid are also ingredients that address pigmentation. I give specific recommendations after a proper consultation where I have assessed your skin, issues, daily habits/lifestyle and preferences. Jesse Robredo was my uncle :)
