Revisiting Phoenix Delta and prepping for a lot of very large, very orange parts to be printed. Isaiah - / @theteamgearhead Rolohaun's Discord - / discord
Mine isn't as silent as this guy is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1tl-IxJJhd4.html I think the switching board that comes with the berd-air doesn't support faster switching than 20hz, so it can get very nosiy with high PWM. The solution I think is to just connect the berd-air directly to the motherboard somehow.
So happy to hear from you again! The whole Phoenix Squad is here! I need to figure out the auto level sensor and make a video about that, and then we will get to tuning and upgrading
Good questions! The magnets will definitely wear out over time, and need to be lubricated regularly in order to combat this happening. They should be okay in chambers that are moderately hot, but extremely hot chambers will cause the arms to expand and cause problems. These arms are not the optimal choice for very high speed, I make sure to keep my travel speeds low(ish) to ensure they dont pop off. 8K accel is about the limit before you see issues (on my personal setup, at least)
Currently running 6mm belts, although I am definitely thinking about going to 9mm in the future. Not planning on switching the arms (at least not for a while anyways). If I was going to upgrade, I think I would aim for SeeMeCNC Ball Cups, as I've heard they perform excellently
What probe are you using (if any) to calibrate the printer? I've been trying to use this one but it comes with absolutely no instructions. It makes no sense to me. I connected Voltage to VDC, ground to GND, and the sensor pin I tried both AO and DO and got nothing. I burnt the probe out today messing with it... I've ordered another one..but any help would be appreciated
@@mitsubishimakes Hi, I've tried to reply to this 3 times now but youtube keeps rejecting my reply for some reason. If you suddenly get spammed, I apologize. Thank you! I just ordered a couple from the link you provided. It looks identical to the one I got off of amazon. Maybe I just got a faulty one, but it would not trigger no matter how I wired it. I kept switching the wires around until it burnt out finally.
