Since my last comment, I've ditched the Raptor Grip for now. I used an Ergo Adapter to install a Hogue 6-position stock, swapping the Hogue buttpad for the Factory Rem Recoil Pad. Mounted a Crimson Trace CTS-1300 red dot using a Truglo Reciever Mount. Put a TLR-1 in front of the pump. Got a MEC Sizemaster so I've been reloading a ton of #4 shot until I can get some Buckshot components. Lotsa blastin lately! Happy New Year 👍
NICE!! That's one heck of a setup! I've wondered about those Ergo Adapters, they're not that expensive either, probably should have ordered one by now, lol. Crimson Trace makes some decent optics for the price, it's interesting you went with such a low profile optic, I haven't tried that on a shotgun yet. Thanks for the update!! Sounds like a solid setup.
Glad to see these are back in production. I have one in 12 gauge with a speedfeed stock and a Surefire lighted forend. It’s a wonderful firearm but so damn unpleasant to shoot. Thinking about getting one in 20 GA, swapping over my accessories if they’ll fit, and selling the 12 GA to pay for it. Thanks for the review.
I have the 12 gauge as well, and you're right, it is not the most pleasant shotgun to shoot. As far as accessories go, I have found that the 20 gauge receiver is just slightly narrower than the 12 gauge receiver. My Magpul stock will fit both, but it isn't flush on the 20 gauge. Thanks for watching!!
Have a 870 Express in 20 guage and want to be able to convert into a tactical. I'm hoping the stock and fore-end will fit my model if parts are now available. Also would like to add that round holster the tactical has on the side. Wish they had this when I purchased mine in 2020.
When Remington went under I didn't think I'd see the 870 line again, it's nice it's back in production. I know Magpul makes a nice stock and foregrip, I have it on my 12 gauges. I've seen parts becoming available slowly, so I think you may be in luck. Thanks for watching!
@citizenpewcommentary yes, there is a company that makes a backing plate so you can use the Magpul stock, so thought of going that route but still leavs the for-end to sort out since I've read that the Magpul one only fits the 12 guage slide, and not the 20, unless you have the older model 20 guage. Mine is the later model so no go.
Son in laws 870 has the same problem with some shot shell brands. I really like to have improved cylinder choke for home defense as like the tighter pattern with buck shot plus optimum for slugs. Our Mossberg 940 has screw-in chokes.
Patriots have to stop being so freakin gullible. They will buy anything that any slickster sells if it has a flag or patriotic stuff on it, even if it's total junk. Same thing happened with "Black Rifle" Coffee. Everybody bought their stuff without checking them out first. Later, it turned out that the Black Rifle guys were donating all of their money to anti-gun Democrats. Globalists know this which is why they keep pulling the wool over patriot's eyes and mocking them while doing it. The Left really dumbed ALL people down in schools apparently.
Thanks for the review. I was originally looking for a 20ga tactical Mossy 590, but everyone's sold out. I actually grew up around 870's, so I'm looking into what you have now. My plan is to install a Raptor grip and make an extended Tac 14 with it.
NICE!! Might make sure they make a 20 gauge version of that grip. I looked at putting my MagPul stock from my 12 gauge 870 on the 20 gauge and it's just a bit wide; still fits and works, it's just not flush with the receiver. Thanks for watching!!
FYI, Mesa Tactical makes what they call their "Lucy" adapter, which enables a 20ga 870 to be fitted with what looks like MANY 12ga stocks. Raptor sent me one along with their grip. Works like a charm!
I had a buddy who had the Mag Fed shotgun, but he sold it before I had a chance to make a video on it. I have been looking into the Tac13, it looks pretty sweet.
@@citizenpew thanks for the reply, wasn't trying to give you a hard time. Was mainly trying to say it'd be bummer to do personally and would help you with the algorithm, viewer wise bud. Still loved the vid.
