This video answered my question, regarding the replacement of a Black ink cartridge. Right nw, I am printing up, a small rainforest worth of paperwork. It goes through Black ink very fast. Thank you very much, for this video.

I can see how to do it, I have a printer 1055, and I push the cartridge into it's correct slot. It just hangs down, and when I push it in more ,i feel like i might break it.. :( It's a very clear video, its me that's not getting it hah

I put the color cartridge on the wrong side. Now it's stuck. I see that the tab at the top is for the other side and that's why it doesn't come out. Is there a way to get it out, so I can change sides and then put both cartridges in the correct places in the tray? I don't want to force and break the plastic casing in the tray. HELP! I have used this printer for years and somehow didn't realize the cartridges are different for left and right. This time it popped into the wrong side. Or, can I bypass the code and use the cartridges in the opposite sides?

Static Pupsik Are you able to make a copy from the printer? If not, then please contact our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region please go to Google search and enter 'contact HP worldwide'. Your first option should be the site for contacting HP, when you click on it you will be prompted to choose your country/region. If you are able to make a copy, then please try aligning the printer again. To find the steps on how to do this, please search for C03847745 on HP's home page or using Google search. That is the document number for the Deskjet 3000 User Guide. The steps on how to align can be found on page 58.

***** thank you for the fast reply, i live in usa, but this is very weird, is not detecting the color cartridge but i can print the alignment page in colors perfectly, but them it doesn't recognize the page. even when i print something in black and white it comes out faded. help please

Static Pupsik There is a document titled "Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages". The document number is C04328143. Please work through the trouble shooting steps in that document.

When you say you locked the computer do you mean you do not have the password for it?

I feel pretty dumb I put my ink cartridge in backward, should've watched this video. But now my ink cartridge is stuck and I can remove it. I really don't want to lose the ink cartridge or my printer can someone help.

My printer keeps saying the cartridges are stalled, but there is absolutely nothing inside. I've done all the steps, nothing works. what's even better, your website doesn't work. I can't get to the support page at all....
