I am having problems trying to input my sensor id'd into the cdc controller. I replaced the battery in the from wheel and found the original battery was at 20% capacity under load, so glad I did. I was getting intermitten reads. I still had the same problem and after eliminating other probable causes I decided to swap sensor location. After the swap I found that the reads from both front and rear were rock solid now. I am thinking it may be a weak antenna in that front sensor. The only thing left to do is to input the sensor id' into the correct location in the controller. I have the GS911 USB and have not had any success changing the location because the software says I need to delete the current sensor id but no advanced button to do this(I have seen earlier versions of GS911 having that option). Hope you can help
I have a GS-911 Wi-Fi version. It will allow my to enter the sensor ID, however, it will not allow the re-use of an existing number. Normally I use a device to activate the TPM sensor and it automatically reads the sensor ID. The computer will allow 2 IDs for each wheel. Maybe add two phony IDs to clear out the old ID, then enter the proper ID. Just a thought and I hope it works for you!
Did the TPMS fit on the L shaped valve stem or was it mounted on the wheel in a separate location. I am assuming you used the TPMS that had the holes instead of the valve stem because it does not actually attach to the valve stem on the mag wheels. It will be the first time I have replaced the TPMS’ so not sure how it works. thanks for any help you can give me.
I don’t completely understand your question….I bought the TPMS on eBay. I resend the original valve stems. I think the key is to get the proper TPMS which means you have to take off the original and then use the product number from the device to order the exact replacement. The other trick is to get the “tool” that activated the TPMS device. Do you have a GS-911? I used that to assign the new TPMS to the bike. The tabs are welded not soldered to the lithium battery. Soldering is too hot too long not to damage the internals of a lithium battery. You could purchase a coin cell with tabs pre-welded. Use a short wire to make the underside connection. Then the top should be easy to solder old tab to new.
