Instructions STEP BY STEP how to replace the brake pads and discs in your car yourself. The movie presents the Opel Astra G car, however, in many other models and brands it is almost identical.
WARNING: DO NOT INSERT OLD BRAKE CARTRIDGES FOR NEW BRAKE DISCS! We always assume new targets, new blocks! You can only put new blocks on the old discs, but when you check the thickness of the disc, you can use it with new blocks.
I recommend buying bricks and discs of very good quality, eg shown MEYLE PD from a German manufacturer.
These shields and pads are available in our partner store www.APARTS.pl, which provides parts for the creation of guides especially for you. All the more I recommend buying all parts for cars in this store!
Two screws (guides on which the clamp works) after screwing, should be greased, before applying plastic plugs, i.e. to the rubber caps, press grease and put on the protective cap.
The surface between the disc and the hub must be perfectly clean and free from dirt so that the wheels do not beat during driving.
The tools you need are:
7mm Allen key strong
A large rattle
wire brush
Caramba degreaser
Toilet paper / kitchen
Screwdriver cross
Lifter, trestles or wooden blocks to protect the car
Wheel wrench
Wire to hang the clamp
Carpenter's clamp or special tool for pressing / screwing the plunger or two tubes, like on a film.
Protection for screw threads, eg ProSeal blue adhesive.
Parts necessary:
2x brake discs and 4x brake pads
The entire exchange is very simple, but it should be done carefully and accurately, do not tighten the screws too much so as not to break the thread!
Information:
Referring to Mr. Video's question regarding the copper paste.
According to the ATE guidelines, so the authority in brake systems, covering the hub with any substance, with grease, is forbidden. High temperatures operating in that place may, after some time, lead to the hardening of the paste, grease and form gussets that cause axial disc beating. After identifying the grease on the brake disc, ATE automatically rejects any complaint.
