Cool. That's the same pump I put in mine - the factory connector promptly burned out, and I then got to do an impromptu fuel pump wire upgrade!

I like how you guys were just stacking new USPS boxes to keep your work surface clean! LOL. Fuel tanks are such a pain in the driveway - be glad you had a lift.

Going back many years ago, changed out 4 of them, 2 times in my 85 GT, 1 in my 92 hatch 5.0 lx, my wife's 89 lx, always good to change out the fill tank seal, found that out on the second time on the 85 didn't make that mistake on the other two.Great video Matt.

haha I'm about to be putting one in mine pretty quick here fuel pump that is not the whole tank my baffle is not loose thankfully I've had a few fox's that have had that issue it definitely gets annoying when it's real loose like that on my first mustang pulling in and out of my driveway it sounded like something on the rear end was about to fall off but that's when I was a beginner and didn't know much 20 years ago I love the fact that you drive this car to all the shows and it's not just sitting in the garage anymore I've been driving mine for the last couple weeks straight as well it's so fun I definitely missed it I'm sure you're feeling the same way after not driving it for so long keep up the great work and awesome videos

How do you find the performance on your stang with the waldbro fuel pump? I have a '88 LX original with some performance mods and I believe my original fuel pump is failing. Could there be performance benefit if I install the Waldbro?

Performance is good, but i've also got a HCI setup and a tune so I needed the 255lph. Matt told me Waldbro used to make fuel pumps for Ford, so I feel good about it.

Depends on experience and such, but I would guess typically 30 minutes to an hour. Took longer for us with the video part.

What was your symptoms of the old pump going out? I think my pump may be on the fritz.

The same sounds it makes when you first turn the key it was making when going down the road after it heated up with normal driving. Matt said that sound is getting rid of the air in the system.
