Made the mistake of not winterizing my troy bilt power washer this winter and cracked the water pump in almost the exact same spot. Thought about trying to fix it with JB weld but thought it was unlikely to work so I went ahead and ordered the pump head. Just got it last night and plan on installing it today. While I didn't think it would be too difficult to replace, your tutorial still helped. Thank you.
Thanks for watching. Glad my video helped you out. Yeah, I tried the JB Weld….no good, it failed miserably. I hope you get it installed and working properly.
Great video exactly what I did the second time. Gave the first one away he said he just ordered a new pump. 😮 so this time I decided to replace the pump instead of the whole pressure washer. Thanks
Mine did the same thing. Where can you get a pump. I checked Troy built but couldn’t find it. Never mind I just read where you got it. Thanks for the video I was about to go buy a new one cause neighbor said you can’t replace them cheap residential units
My same pressure washer locks up when I turn on the wawn on is it this part or something inside the pump. Also are you supposed to put non detergent HD30 oil inside the pump cause it’s grinding then just locks up
This link will give you good information on what type of oil to use. Sounds like your pump is wearing out or is dry. I hope this article helps you. www.familyhandyman.com/article/pressure-washer-oil/
