Hey so i just have a quick question, but before that i just wanted to say your videos have been very helpful as well as inspiring to me and have convinced me to get my own leopard gecko, I've been thinking about getting a smaller, enclosed pet ever since i saw my friend's bearded dragon who was an absolute doll to me first time i went to her house, and that's what made me want a reptile, and lead me to your videos. I suffer from anxiety (and also a bit depression too) that causes me to lock up in place when i wake up some mornings, sometimes for hours on end which lead to panic attacks lasting just as long, I've finally convinced myself i just can't do this alone after so long of just living through it like it is supposed to be a normal part of human life. I've finally gotten some help. And i believe that even though I've got a couple dogs, if i actually got something that was my responsibility to take care of that I'll love and cherish and will stick with me for many years, and not take up too much of my time and make me stressed (like a leopard gecko) and since it's my responsibility force me to have long periods of interaction with the animal, would really help me cope with my anxiety. Anyways, I have two dogs (one of which won't be a problem) but my other dog is completely fastinated with anything that moves on a tv screen and so she starts to bark at the TV sometimes. My mom says she'll try to watch her shows in her room from now on most of the time (which is across the house from my room where i intended to keep my leopard gecko) and if she watches something in the living room we'll put the dog outside. Would my gecko get spooked and too stressed if my dog starts barking on the other side of the house? I just want to know if my gecko would be to stressed by my dog to even have one or if i just need some different alternatives.

So I just bought the minerals and vit mix and the calcium supplements that you are showing but I'm now getting confused as you mentioned your feeding schedule is done on synthetic. So how are you using these supplements now, as you mentioned having a calcium dish in the Viv? How often do I use the mineral & vit mix and is that just dusting the foodium do I leave in the Viv for the gecko to eat when it wants it? Mine is a juvi Leo. Thank you x

We got our baby leopard gecko last week. She's been so fantastic and your videos have helped us so much. I'm just wondering with the Earth Pro A, does using UV with it make it more efficient in absorption? We dust food with Earth Pro A and calcium powder (she's a really good eater too) but at the moment we dont use a UV light in the tank as throughout the day the room has lots of natural daylight. Sorry to make this long but all of the different info makes my head spin

for the calcium pro magnesium and the earth pro a what would the dusting schedule be? do i use earth pro a for every dusting and put the calcium pro magnesium in a little dish in their tank? someone help me please she probably explained it but i'm not the brightest

I have learned so much from your videos, so that when I get my first gecko I'll be prepared. I see most still say that you don't need UVB with the leopard geckos, but I think that they may not be acknowledging that information changes all the time through research. Maybe because my background and education are agricultural based, I recognize that as research advances, we must change to provide the best care, prevention and supplementation. Hey, do you know of any UK/ European online reptile shops that sell Arcadia's products? I'm currently looking for their 2.4% UVB mini kit as well as their supplements, but every shop I come across don't have them in stock and Internet Reptile don't deliver to Ireland unfortunately

I’ve always wanted a Leo but my mum says no but I’m doing research and every thing and this is really helpful bc at first I just though you buy ethier bugs or like cat food but for leopard geckos this is rrl helpful

I have a crested and wasn’t sure if I’m using the right supplements. I feed Pangea, and his crickets - every two weeks, 7 in one sitting - are dusted in repticalcium w/ d3. I provide LED for 8hrs per day. Just wanted to put in that sometimes he has a hand warmer on the side on the side of my cage but I don’t know wether to put the probe there or not to measure it?

I currently use Zoo Med brand calcium without D3 and Zoo Med brand Reptivite without D3 to supplement my leopard gecko. Are these okay to use? I also am using the Arcadia shade dweller UVB light.

Brilliant, I was going to purchase repashy but found out that it contains synthetics. I have a 2% UVB light, do I need to dust with a D3 supplement as well once a week or is the UVB enough? My gecko has calcium/fat deposits under her arm so think I may be over supplementing.

Hi, I'm getting Crested Gecko in a few weeks and will be getting a juvenile. I want to buy a 18"x18"x24" tank rather than the 12"x12"x18" so I would not need to spend money on 2 tanks rather than 1 for when the gecko grows up. Some people said the bigger tank would stress the crestie out too much at that age, so now i'm not sure on what to buy first. Can you help me out?

To give a leopard gecko a little more calcium, is it best to use calcium for the entire feeding that evening instead of Earth Pro A or is it possible to take some bugs from that feeding and do some with calcium mg and some with earth pro a? I know if this is okay to do it wouldn't be something to do every feeding as earth pro a is efficient and the leopard gecko has access to calcium mg in the tank at all times. I'm just curious for the future :))

However, I'm confused about the EarthPro A. Since it has calcium in it as well, where would it fall under the schedule? Would I need to adjust it at all? So what about fossorial species who don't receive much (if any) UVB in the wild? Is it not dangerous to offer no D3 to those animals because they won't be absorbing it from the light?

I’m a big fan of your videos and trust the research and care you put into your work. Please make sure you are being compensated by Arkadia for your endorsement. I don’t think it’s a bad thing if they would like you to promote their product. It doesn’t make me trust you any less but I’d does make me feel conflicted about the company if they used you as part of their branding without informing you or paying you.

They normally use jelly pots for inverts. I agree that those jelly pots suck for geckos.

I’ve been supplementing randomly with each feeding calcium, and calcium with D3 and only recently started multivitamins (and I have used it combined with calcium with D3) and my Leo is from petco and 10 years old. Absolutely no disease. In perfect health.
