If there’s one that irritates decent blokes like Bale, then it’s the fact that clueless tossers keep on assuming he has some sort of connection to England. I’ll say this once & only once: the man is Wales 100% born & bred in Whitfield, North Cardiff. The only thing Gareth Bale has in common with England is that he played there for a bit, and considering how much of an underdog Wales are in the international scene it’s a testament to his leadership that Wales have indeed made a World Cup and 2 European Championship appearances too.
