This video shows how to fix the issue of the Miele induction stove top turning on but not heating up.
This is done by resetting the unit.
2:14 is where I actually explain how to reset the unit. Before that is just me waffling about how I came to doing it :)

Your Googling skills exceed mine. I just now found you mentioning the 'reset' feature. I just disassembled my KM6370 because it's been acting up in several ways. Found no electrical issues. It did seem as though somebody had previously disassembled the unit. Or, people were tossing parts around at the factory. Anyway... I'm going to re-assemble and try the reset. My conclusion was the same as yours: control board (aka some CPU/software issue), as the issues were across multiple power boards. the KM6370 is also split with four coil elements driven from one power board, with two IGBT heat sink sets on it, and a fifth (the high power) coil driven by a parallel, separate, power board with obvious space for another single coil channel worth of IGBT's and drivers. Frustratingly, the wires that interconnect the boards were squished between the resonant capacitor and the metal cover over the PCB [sigh]. For what Miele charges for these, they sure aren't built like the Porsches in a factory from the same country of the company's headquarters.

@@aussieknowhow It's a mixed bag I'd say. The cooktop seems designed with the usual attention to detail I would expect, but the execution is another matter, I didn't bother to look for signs of "made in _____" (

@@scottroberts3078 I'd also lean towards poor manufacturing and assembly. I believe the main power boards are used in other brands and not just Meile. So it's probable the boards are produced in a number of locations/countries as well, which could also lead to a variety in production quality. Then the whole units are assembled (probably by a third party like you said), so there are a couple of places where the quality could faulter from the design. There would be quality control inplace, but that's only through occasional sampling with a set percentage of success and is more than likely a functional test as opposed to visual, so poor workmanship would occasionally get through.

This video worked for my KM 6370, which had been flashing “F” despite being clean. Selecting “9” in program mode was a little different on mine but I seem to have figured it out.

I have a KM6320 with error code FE51. I've tried the power disconnect and still have the error. Any ideas? Thank you.

Anyone ideas how to reset the Miele KM 471/474? Cooking works fine but in off modus it beeps loud off and on.

Eventually child lock sensor ceases to work properly. Will lock you out and beep continuously. Cost a $1000 to replace circuit board. Do not buy, you will become a slave to this as nothing else fits in counter hole.
