RE6 has aged incredibly well. I still play it because it has all my heroes in it. Also, the combat system was really good and most people didn’t bother learning it.
I learn the combat system in this game and it’s really simple too to get used to it and I like this resident evil game even though it’s more action than horror but I remember playing it back in my senior year and I missed those days too and this game still holds up too from this day forward
Jake and Sherrie's campaign was my favorite.I really like how that big guy was basically chasing you the entire time,and it was SO satisfying to finish him off.I loved this game,and i hope I'm not the only one that did.

The problem with this one was that while it was a decent game on it's own, it was a terrible successor to the RE title. 5 was pretty much on the same boat but the co-op was way more fun in that one. You wanna know what the real kicker is? While RE4 is one of the *best games* of all time, it was probably the *worst RE* in the entire franchise since it basically had nothing to do with RE -- and that's saying something comparing it to 7.

This may not feel like a traditional resident evil game but as an 3rd person action shooter, it played like a king. This game is not bad. It's an actual well made game. The only thing that disappoints most fans are the lack survival horror elements and heavy load of action. But other than that, its an excellent game that everyone must play.

Epic story? The plot was basically Leon and Simmons fighting over Ada's love while a brand new virus decimated the world. The game is a fun action game, but to call it a good resident evil is an insult to the series. Re6 completely strips any essence of a decent story and replaces it with predictable boring Michael bay action hero , guns blazing and constant explosions that reduce any essence of survival horror. Chris is reduced to a drunk fucking idiot who always had a midlife crisis. What happened to the old punching boulders Chris. While Re5 had alot of ridiculous moments and mediocre story and gameplay overall, it was still a decent resident evil game that tried. Re6 tried to make decades worth of a good franchise into over the top Hollywood film. Re6 on its own is great gameplay wise, graphics were phenomenal for 2013, and even soundtrack and sound effect wise. But for the usual Resident evil standards it was just a cash grab....

This trailer made me so excited to play the game. It wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun to play through and the extra modes were enjoyable as always.

lol resident evil wasn't always third person, RE4 was the first game that went third person in the series, so don't make it look like it is meant to be third person. Changing it to first person seems to be better than third person for horror type games. But if you enjoy combat the most in these games, well I'm sorry, this series aint for you :c
I don't really know why a lot of people hate this game. Resident evil being an action game is inevitable because of the storyline. The main plot is fighting against bio-terrorism, so action is inevitable. The only reason why the first REs were horror was because the story was still evolving. I really liked the evolution of Resident Evil from being a horror game then shifted towards more action and still keeping some horror elements. A lot of people are just bandwagoners and have no Idea how great this game is. Resident Evil 7 demo didn't really feel like a Resident Evil game because Capcom is trying to please the fucking haters.
God forbid Capcom try and make old school fans who loved the series for being a horror game happy by making 7 a horror game, yeah what are they thinking with their common sense and all, they should just keep making these games be Michael Bay style explosions galore and none stop shooting until the horror is so removed from it that they are living on 2 different states, in different countries, on different planets
The demo kind of serves as that. You'll play as an entirely different character in the full game. The whole "camera man" character and his buddies served as a joke that there is no way in hell they'd survive the horrors from resident evil, and they don't.
@@RedaIhab So that's how we do things when people like RE 6, we just believe that's the only one they played? The evolution to 6 does make sense in hindsight. I hated this at first until a couple years ago. Then when I played through the game I was like "Oh okay. I see what the devs meant about it being bigger than just horror and becoming action" and they were right. It's still very scary in some parts but when you stop and think about it RE evil was always action since the first game. Only difference her is you do action in the gameplay more than mostly seeing it in the cutscenes.

11 years later and this is by FAR my favorite resident evil game, hell my favorite game in gererall, for an older game it was made phenomenally and i can never get enough of playing it! also i like the controls on pc so brownie points lol

t'was a joke my friend, to express my disappointment of RE retiring the survival horror approach. No need for a rebuttal. Though i think RE6 probably took the right direction, i just wish the developers would revisit the survival horror route with a fresher perspective in the future. Don't ask me how, im not a game dev, but like with most things there's more than one way of doing things. My biggest fear when i saw this trailer, was the potential cheesy-ness. that scares me the most, that it might not deliver all that much on the actual scare factor.

You know, I think this game was great, but I think it would be awesome if they made 7 a mixture between the action element of 6 and add some real horror. Something like a huge zombie-filled forest that the gamer has to find a way out of on his/her own. It has to be foggy, dark and the player is low on Ammo, or to get the player injured and to walk down zombie-filled streets. I think bringing back the "Normal" zombies and reduce the huge amount of B.O.W's would be nice. But they should definitely keep the fun action element.
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition was the first RE I bought and finished. From beginning to end, me and a a co-op partner I met at summer camp finished it. I was so hyped for this one. Chris was my favorite campaign, cheese and all.
Fuck the haters RE6 was great and if it ever gets remade there’s no way it’ll top the original. Game still continues to have the absolute best combat system in the entire series.

I'd like to point out that at terrible as some of the old geezers in the comment section say this game is, its one of capcom's highest selling games out of EVERY series they've made in history. Capcom's highest selling games in order are: 1. Resident Evil 5 ( 6.7 million copies) 2. Resident Evil 4 (5.7 million copies) 3. Resident Evil 6 (5.2 million copies). Notice how the old shit is nowhere on this list. Face it, most people don't want to play shitty tank controls and fixed camera angles anymore. That shit is dead. There's really only 2 options: Release its not 1998 anymore and modernize. Stay in 1998. Either way this series is going to keep growing and moving on without you.

I agree to some extent. Ininderstand capcom have to go where the money is but my argument is just because it sells well, dosent mean its great. How many games nowadays that sell well are honestly as great as their made out to be? Call of duty sells well, yet its the same shit every year. FIFA sells well, yet its the same shit every year. Yet people slag off the older RE's, some of the most influential games of all time. Because their 'ugly' and 'dated' gimme a fucking break. Games now are all style and no substance. The best part of RE5 and RE6 is the co op. The whole AI partners, micheal bay action and the new boring characters that arent ever seen again just arent that good. People get so defensive about the older RE's because of the memories attached to them and how unique they were. I played the game so many times and it didn't disappoint me, and I liked the idea how Capcom manage to assemble a cast of old and new characters as the story progresses. Many fans didn't like it because of the fact that the game loses its survival-horror genre, although I have to agree with that. But still, the identity of Resident Evil is still there. I have played Resident Evil 4 and it was a great game. I also played Resident evil 5 which i praised for enhanced graphics. Playing Resident Evil 6 is worth it, which is like you have just bought two games in one bundle for an affordable price. And yes you absolutely have a point about the game. As the story goes on, so is the virus which is still evolving into more powerful and deadly contagion as the world plunges into global pandemic.
If you're a grown man, being scared by a game shouldn't be a priority or even possible. Resident Evil is about bioterrorism and Leon and Chris are expert martial artists. There should be action in Resident Evil for fuck's sake. They're not going to stand around and let a zombie bite them without physically attacking. What sucks is the co op incentive gameplay due to shitty AI and short Leon campaign.
This game could have been the best Resident Evil game if just there are more puzzles and not too linear. Capcom want to make it feels like RE2 experience, then learn from from the game. But I still like this game though.

We need new characters that are afraid. Leon, Chris, Jill, Claire, etc. Are no longer scared of shit; we need characters that are thrown in that have no idea what the hell is going on or the old characters face a situation that is unexpected in a way that would freak us out. Avoid making it feel like some die hard movie, bring in realistic situations.

I actually love RE6. Yes, it was more action rather than the horror and I do miss the puzzles and reading notes. But no lie, I love the game. The controls was easy to learn, the walk+shoot is a great addition and the melee is a cherry on top. Replay value is great in all honesty, since the game has 4 stories and 7 characters to play (Chris/Piers campaign is my favorite, next to Sherry/Jake's). I wish Capcom do this again and expand Jake's story, after all they created him as a new generation character for the series. I really love his moveset in the game.
This game has the best inter-campaign I've ever seen. One of the best stories, in fact. While it wasn't as much horror as one would like, the action made up sometimes. Perhaps if you had a smaller life, it'd drive you to shoot more instead of trying to fight alot of the time. I just ran Defense, Item Drop Increase and Shotgun Ammo though. Seemed like one of the best skillsets, but I always equipped Defense, Shooting Wild and Rock Steady for bosses. "Rock-steady". That name brought a smile to my face. If you're not Jamaican, you won't get the joke. Besides that, I think I liked Jake and Sherry's campaign the most. Pity though, I loved Leon's dual Wing shooter's for the reload sequence animation.
People throw a lot of hate at this game because it's not the same as the older games, the controls get stiff when operating a vehicle, and some parts are ridiculously difficult. Through all that, I still can't help but enjoy this game.

I remember seen this trailer went came out. I was soo excited about the game. In that moment, I hadn't the xbox360 until the middle of 2012 and one of the game that it was in my list was this. When I played, I really enjoyed everything about it: the history (mostly the encounter between Leon an Chris, that thing was legendary), the characters, the locations and most of all, the controls. Maybe the history wasn't the best, but It's really fun and entertainment and is for that that it's my second favorite game of RE. The first is RE4. The other's are another thing and more important for the franchise, but in the matters of entertainment, this take the throne. I still playing this game in my PC, and with the mode "mercenaries", I still enjoy. Thanks for good moments RE6. I always love you. :')
Eu me lembro que um colega meu tinha pego esse game Day One no PS3, ele me chamou para jogarmos co-op em tela dividida, passamos o dia todo jogando, bons tempos. Feliz 10 anos Resident Evil 6! Não é meu RE favorito, mas pelo menos me deu horas de diversão e risadas no co-op.
