It most likely was made for the 3DS initially, but then somebody in the higher ups department said "If we release it on anything except a Nintendo system, since they'll require we sell a full game that also works well, we can chop it up, charge each piece as a full game, and if we're lucky, we can sell 20 million units each before packaging it on one disc/cartridge."

Doom 3 has a pretty good mod you can get to attach the flashlight to certain weapons, Handgun & Assault Rifle (I think shotgun too? can't really remember)... just throwing it out there.

As my girlfriend doesn't play games that often, but loves horror movies, this and Revelations 1 were absolutely perfect experiences. Yeah they were turds, but fun turds that didn't look at me like I farted for wanting split screen on PC.

I suspect Yahtzee would have a field day with Life Is Strange whether he thought it was good or not.

One episode a week makes absolutely no sense. It means that if they just took another 4 weeks to develop the game, it would be a complete experience on launch. It's not television! You don't need to keep people waiting for the next part if you have the money to put out a complete game.

He should go back to Life is Strange, as all the episodes have been released for a while now

Well, it's better than 6. That's for sure. The character switching in the Claire/Moira sections is extra dumb once you see that Barry has his own flashlight. Though it's fun creeping around as Natalia with my 'comfort brick.'

This resident evil, was a MUCH better game than Resident evil 5 and 6. I played the co-op with a friend of mine and we both enjoyed it tonnes despite the incredibly different roles we were given.

Sly Cooper Thieves in Time? Kiddies first stealth game. Wait let me use the right term for those outside of America. Sly Raccoon Thieves in Time.

Now, to the game's credit, you can fight enemies as Moira and Natalia, as Natalia can throw bricks to damage (and maybe even kill) enemies, and Moira has a crowbar. ...And there is a reason as to why you can't duct tape the flashlight to the gun. First off, it's a stick flashlight, they don't quite work like that. Second off, the flashlight has to be focused to burn an enemy, and ya obviously can't do that when it's duct taped to a gun, and third, because the game would be a lot more boring for the partner if you could do that. Although the partner characters do have regenerating health, and won't die immediately if it's all depleted, so there's that. Unfortunately, this does not apply to Claire or Barry for the most part, if they take enough damage to the point they start limping and become unable to sprint (which has a stamina meter), they'll heal up to just before that point, but otherwise, you'll have to heal the old fashioned way with them. Also, there's fall damage. Fall damage. In a resident evil game. ...Yes, I found that out the hard way.

It’s funny he mentions how Moira is useless for switching to besides torch/crowbar and that he’s sure it’s due to Co-op-ability because it’s surprisingly not online co-op. You can have two people on the same console play story mode but that’s it, there is ZERO ways to play story mode with someone else who isn’t right next to you on the sofa and it is so aggravating.

Man I really felt the solidity of the argument of why crafting is shit when the Stan lee comparison was made. Holy shit did I nod my head approvingly to that.

Of course the characters age. Capcom clearly go out of their way to make their appearance look older as the series progresses. Moira was actually a toddler in the first RE game, except she was only ever shown in a photograph. I agree with most of what's said here though.

They are really having Yahtzee crank these out quicker now that Jimquisition is gone. Not a problem to me, I only watch Zero Punctuation on this channel anyway

I did buy this (at the moment of typing this I'm waiting for the downloads to complete) have played it thought it was ok not a full price purchase though I'm annoyed I can't get everything despite buying the season pass but not a deal breaker honestly it has things I wanted from RE6 that I didn't get in 6 which were unlockable weapons (like the hydra or minigun in RE5) and costumes useable in the campaign which TO THIS DAY I wonder why capcom did not add that to RE6 would've been fun strolling around as pirate leon

why is everyone bitching about revelations 2? i loved it through and through! it was pretty damn great, played it solo, got to level 100 on raid mode before they added co-op, and once it was added it gave me more incentive to play it again. i just HATE how the campaign isn't co-op over xbox live. that's fucking dumb & the campaign has some soft spots but it's an enjoyable ride! it's only 25 bucks and people are talking as if it's a full priced game. get off your high horses already.

The episodic games I've played so far (mostly just Tell Tale stuff) are great, but I'd highly recommend people just wait to play them till all the episodes are out. The gaps are just WAAAY too big to keep you strongly invested in the story.

It's not all that bad but it's not the best. It has the re4 type of moving and combat which I love and I kept wanting to get to the end to see what happens granted Barry and Clair have different endings on what happens so that's really confusing. But it's not to bad if u like that sorta thing.

I liked WATCH_DOGS crafting system. It wasn't complicated like you have to combine them in a certain manner or had to fetch them because you needed to craft. You just had random shit on you at all times, think, "I need to blow shit up now." Then go, "yeah I can press the X button, and magically have a bomb." It's simple, and almost nonexistent.

There are two endings so that's nice. Well, it would be nice if they told you there were two endings because it took a while until I realized that shitty ending was just the bad ending.

That was a basic, functional tension mechanic whose only remembered positive lasting benefit to humanity has been demonstrating exactly why people who speak in all caps on forums deserve to be removed from the public gene pool.

Is Capcom still around? I thought people hated the modern resident evil games so much that people would smash down their gates and riot. No just me. They do still have MGS though and that franchise is still going strong.
