Resident Evil Revelations | A GREAT Spinoff | A RETROSPECTIVE 

I played RE Revelations on 3ds and it quickly became one of my favorite RE games its a great mix of old and new with a great setting

He doesn't do that much? :O Parker saved my butt on the harder difficulties so many times, I just loved him big time :D

It really is, I absolutely LOVE Revelations. Revelations 2 was great too but I do prefer the first no with hindsight. This game saved Resident Evil after RE6. I think I said earlier it wad RE7 but really you're right it was Revelations. I must have this on like 4 different platforms lol, no 5. I forgot I have it on Switch too lol.

I think Revelations could be a good candidate as a next remake. It's a pretty solid RE game, it only needs some polish.

I thought the story and characters of this game were awful but the gameplay was great and I enjoyed the horror in the beginning sections.

I did enjoy this game, the atmosphere on the first playthrough was good! i liked the sequel as well. with my gripe there being no online story mode coop! still disappointed about that!

RE 9, i hope jill is back with long hair she needs a new design!!!

what revelations did right was modernize Jill they did what the RE3 remake tried but failed to do failures were jackass and making Chris not as important in the game as Chris u couldn't upgrade weapons access storage boxes. RE revelations was just short of perfection not to mention weapon limitations and over saling weapons that needed parts to be as powerful as name sake

revelations feels more like a mainline game compared to 6

Revelations was such an ambitious 3DS game and I would love to see it get a remake. The Queen Zenobia could be terrifying in the RE Engine. Just ditch the chapters system and Keith/Quint sections. They're also doing a great job fleshing out the characters in the remakes, so it be fun to see what they do with Jessica. 😆

Honestly, Parker became one of my favourite characters in the entire series after playing through this game. I love his casual demeanour, his loyalty to his friends, and the scene where he sacrifices himself to ensure the survival of Jill and Chris still gets me to this day.

I really enjoyed both Revelations games but I feel like there's not a ton of content on either so I'm glad you are covering them! They really got the right balance of stupid fun action and intense horror. In both there were moments I fled in panic at boss encounters I was so freaked out. Like you noted, I think the ship was really a great atmospheric location and that main theme when you enter the main central area was epic.

I loved both of these Revelation games. Bonus points on REV2 being split screen Co Op.

It's an okay game saved by its side mode which was a joy to play. I played it back then on 3DS (with the second joystick add-on) so I don't remember much of it but I liked the "RPG" (using this word lightly) feel to the mercenary mode (I think it's called).

My most favorite thing in this game is the auto firing part. But it only usable in raid mode.

I have this game on my 3ds, I got it back in the day and I remember I was hugely impressed... never got too far though, I really hated the controls. BUt it looked incredible, I loved what I was able to play, I wished it was available on another platform... and so I bought it on pc later XD

i remember watching my older sibling play this game when i was a kid…it terrified me to my core lol. great horror setting/atmosphere honestly like imagine being in this creepy ship all by yourself but the twist is your not actually alone

Ok I finally got revelations 1. Wow. I was genuinely surprised at how much better some aspects of it are than part 2. I like the way it links the stories together and does not require you to buy the chapters separately.
