Being that her mom is from India it sounds to me like something my own mom would say. Meaning, you think you came out of nowhere? You think you just fell out of a plant somewhere? No, you came from us, there's context to your existence. There's things that came before you and things that will come after. That's just how people in our countries speak. Specially the elders. I would hear this but with a banana tree instead. "You think you just fell off a banana tree somewhere?" It's hard to translate things sometimes.
I understand it more of a reference on evolution. You didn’t fall out of a coconut tree as in you were not a monkey just before. There has been evolution, civilisations and cultures before you paving the way. So everything you go is contextual to that.
It’s basically just that no thing or no person exists in a vacuum and everything created in the world is influenced by the world. It’s like how people try to say they’re a-political, but saying you are a-political is itself a political act, because you do not exist in a vacuum where you are not somehow influenced by politics. You’re still participating by the act of not participating. That sort of thing.

I think the context thing is kinda like archeological context. You don't dig out an arrow head and know how it was used but if you find it with animal bones you know what it was used for. You live in the context of both the world around you and the world that came before you

You need to check those colors in daylight on your skin first, though. It takes a certain coloration to pull it off. Like Peter with the blue-not everyone looks so good in that color set. I wish I could wear those bright colors, but it makes me look very sick if I do😂

Years ago I found Mike’s account during the Onision drama and he was so obsessive about everything Onision did and made hundreds of videos to the point that even the people trying to get Onision deplatformed had to renounce Mike. Well, here’s the thing. When a person has millions and millions of followers, like Ethan and Trisha and Shane do, we need people to be checking their behavior so they can’t become predatory. Not to mention the whole power differential of someone with 500k followers versus 15 million. Also, there is a very big difference between a grown adult coming after a teenager. There are legitimate ways to critique adults without being ageist, homophobic, racist, or misogynistic. That’s totally fine, but when you come after a teenager, or engage in any of the -isms, any point you may have had is completely irrelevant.

Reading the title had my blood pressure starting to rise. I was like please God tell me Peter didn't come for this poor kid. I've never seen someone catch so much hate for speaking their truth against grooming and sexual misconduct. He was a literal child during the Colleen Ballinger shit. In no universe, was he to blame for what happened to him. Not many kids grow up to be brave and speak out against these "celebrities" that abused them. I will forever respect Adam's courage to call her out and continue to stand up against her minions.

I’ve always thought that the whole mike nactor thing where he tweeted the ages of people, like Adam and D’Angelo Wallace and iNabber, when whatever situation happened is totally irrelevant… like I wasn’t born in the 40’s, but I certainly have some valid opinions about stuff that happened back then.
There's nothing nicer than when drama commentators put their differences to the side, listen to each other's views and lift each other up. You, Peter, Paige and Dustin seem to be pretty good at that, based on how you discuss each other with respect and fondness. People who are unhealthily fixated out of boredom, jealousy, extreme self-hatred or whatever need to realize that they wouldn't stand for being treated the same way, and need to seek help before all the repercussions come crashing down on them.
adam the coconut tree context thing basically means that everything that you are is influenced by history and society. like your irish heritage informs a part of who you are as a person and why you are where you are etc. or like how i'm a white american, what does that mean for me, how does that influence my perception of things versus how being a black american influences them as a person, etc. basically no one exists in a vacuum, history and environment influences everything.
