The iPhone changed the course of mobile computing. But was the first iteration like what we have today? Certainly not, and Quinn of Snazzy Labs rolls back the clocks to 2007 with the original iPhone running iOS 1.1.1.

I hate ios since ios 7.. Too bad I have an ipad air and ios 7 came preloaded.. And now ios 8 is a buggy nightmare. My samsung galaxy s2 that is using a custom ROM is more stable, way less app crashes.. I expected more from a device that costs 400$

It's crazy looking at this on my iPhone 6! I had the 3GS and I barely used it for anything since I was like 9 and didn't even know how to download apps lol. I've had an iPod nano, MacBook 2009,iPad 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4s, and now an iPhone 6! Technology has gone so far I can't wait to see what'll happen in like 2024.

iPhone OS 1.0 WAS shipped with iPhones. I've seen videos of peoples' 2G's with 1.0, and even a video on how to downgrade from 3.1.3 to 1.0 on the 2G.

Hi, I know this video is pretty old... and pretty awesome but Nokia N95, which also came out in 2007 had a front facing camera. And an awesome 5MPx Carl Zeiss camera which produced some really impressive photos.

It got its screen and battery replaced in november 2014(I spent 1 month looking for a place that would do it). So besides the back, it is in pretty good condition. The back is has scratches on it

I still own and use my iPhone 2G, but it's on iPhone OS 3.1.3, I heavily suggest updating, I mean come on, you didn't get a legitimate app store until at least iPhone OS 2.0! The closest you would get on that atrocity of an operating system was Installer.app from the people who eventually made the Cydia installer.

iPhone 2G was only supported by iPhone OS 3.1.3, and you heavily suggest to updating. It won't work because the last supported iOS version is 3.1.3

It adds a special app store to let you install old versions of apps to allow you to use it as a modern phone. I hope you realize I use this phone as a phone and an MP3 player. THAT'S IT.

iOS, unlike many others think, has changed a lot. We have control center, notification widgets, the App Store, and many more things. We have a whole new amazing design. We don't have the RU-vid app anymore, we have a google RU-vid app. It's way different now.

It takes Siri 4 years to start (it was implemented in iOS 6) and about 6 years to start the fingerprint scanner (wasn't implemented until iPhone 5s).

1. Its not true that the iphone had a resistive touchscreen at the beginning because multitouch gestures are not possible on such screens. 2. The iphone didn't change anything about headphones because the same headphones we use today were also used 10 years ago.

I never really used the youtube app on my ipod touch, but now that i have an iphone 5s i've started using it and either it's finally been DRASTICALLY improved or i am a sucker and can't tell quality from garbage...

I love the stock youtube app in iphones back in the day. But when removed it i started to watch youtube on my ipad 1. But when youtube changed things and youtube on ipad 1 did not work i nearly started crying

I do not regret at the time going for the BlackBerry. Had 3G, had a camera, and had a flash with the camera. I honestly thought Apple finally got the iPhone right at iPhone 4S. That is when I switched, but then after Apple switched to lighting cords, I decided to go for Android. It's nice being able to customize and have power without jailbreaking/rooting. But still interesting to see. I remember wanting the first iPhone so badly but then being talked into a BlackBerry at the time. I had a Micro SD card in there and had all my stuff on it, so it did everything the iPhone did as far as I was concerned and more.

the iphone 2g is why 90% of headphones now have shitty straight TRRS plugs that break easily and have terrible strain relief pre-iphone, most headphones had sturdy right-angle plugs with good strain relief.

The Name Change from iPhoneOS to iOS was at the release of the iPad 1 (2011) which was iOS 4. :)

dude I remember seeing a commercial for that phone and getting one for my birthday and I was the happiest person ever and I still use it as a back up and it is a brick but does pretty good for some reason
