I share my music composition portfolio that got me accepted to Juilliard, Rice, and NEC for my master’s degree in music composition. I ended up attending Juilliard for my master’s degree from 2014 to 2016, studying with John Corigliano. Before this, I went to USC for my undergraduate degree in music composition. After my master’s, I attended Columbia University as a doctorate student in music composition, where I’m currently in my 6th year. Be mindful that this portfolio is from 2014, 8 years ago from the posting of this video. So a lot of music has been written since then! At this stage, your portfolio should showcase the best of what you can do and show promise in the field of music composition (and not just “potential,” as I stated in a previous video).
