Ladies great news, I've been doing this for years only for my neck and at nearly 60 I don't have a saggy neck or chin. Just look up to the ceiling and then look down. Do this every day about 20 times you can do more often and more reps and you should see results. I'm not sure how long it will take to get results because I done it over 20 years.
But did you have a flabby neck and Chin before you started and you noticed a difference when you began implementing the exercises? Or did you just do it as a preventative but never had a flabby neck in the first place? Just curious. Thanks for the tip!
This works even better if you open your mouth before you tip your head back, then close it while it is still back. You can feel the pull. And to Story Cloud, this does work even if you had some looseness under your chin. PS, doesn't Dr Berg look young! But it is nearly 10 years ago.
try it . if it hurts don't do it. i am going to start this myself and i have problems with my back. you never know unless you give at try. don't do it to the point of pain. to is to the point point of feeling a little strain or that point you know you are working the muscles. then stop. repeat the four reps. add one or 2 of the back bends every day until you get up to that 25 time rep. it isn't that hard. that way you can tell if your back can handle it. the best thing i have found for my bad back is using an exercise balance ball to sit on instead of our ordinary chairs.
i just tried this. i don't know why but i tried it with my hands on my stomach as the woman does in the video. i did feel pain. i contracted muscles, fore and aft and still had pain(this is with 5 back bends only, to test. i then thought about it for a bit and tried it with my hands behind my back supporting the spot, on both sides of the spine, where i feel pain. that worked! i just did 5, that is where i felt the muscles starting to have that tiny burn, as thought they were being used, and i stopped. i did the 5 sets. that is all i am doing today and will rest tomorrow. then try it again. i will try to remember to come back and give a report with how i do. with the hands on the specific spot both sides of the spine,(lower back) it did not hurt at all.
This is an amazing exercise, Dr. Berg! Just what I needed after losing 125 lbs with very little loose skin... thanks for all your advice on keto, IF, and exercise!
Wow, thanks, I just found your video, I tried it and love it, does not hurt my back or neck. Your advice is always on point, you should have your own TV show.
I had 2 C-sections back to back. I use my slenderbelt and do reverse sit-up while ab muscles are contracting. I suffered extreme nerve damage from the C-Sections, but I can literally feel the adhesions being broken-down. I now have sensation and feeling in my lower quadrant area.
I had two C-sections 42 and 44 years ago. I overcame the adhesions many years later - like 10 or more. Only now, at age 67 have I begun to have a tiny pouch. Nearly no exercise for the past 10 years and menopause have contributed to that. A neck injury prevented exercise. I am eager to try this.....................Best of luck to all.
Thank you Dr. berg for All your informative videos. I love your encouragement and positive narratives. You are helping me and others with serious issues and it is very much appreciated. Bless you and here's to your good health!
Thank you soooo very much for helping us woman out with these issues of the saggy belly… I have done this workout on my own yesterday and after I was done with the workout…I hurried up and sent your video out to everyone I know that gave birth to babies lol!!! 🥰😄😄 We all need this kinda help!!! It’s very hard to get the belly under control but I can feel the lifting of my under belly fat when I do the workout and when it’s over I can feel a change when I’m done doing the workout as well it’s very amazing to do!!!
I started doing this yesterday too! I'm going to do it every single day for a month and see if my saggy belly goes away!! I'm a mama of 3 this workout is awesome 😎💗
Even though he's a doctor with many female patients, he's still clueless since he's not a woman. That's good logic, right there. :/ With this logic, a female doctor who specializes in prostate cancer has no advice she can give to her male patients since she doesn't have a prostate. :/
@@jimkata77 How could a female doctor who specializes in prostate cancer "not" have good advice to give?? She's a SPECIALIST. Specialists know everything there is to know about a specific area whether they have the same body part as their patient or not. The same logic can be said for a male doctor who specializes in prostate cancer but has never had a prostate problem or prostate cancer. Patients come to prostate doctors when they have a problem. A doctor doesn't always have to have the same problem as their patient to give good advice and help them.
Thanks for the video! I've done this 5 times and there is already a very noticeable difference! Thank you! I didn't think I could do this because of a L4-L5 spinal fusions but I can! Anyway you can come up with something for sagging breast skin from breastfeeding?? That would be awesome!
All the gym memberships I’ve had over the years yet I have never seen this exercise being done by Anyone. I will immediately start incorporating this into my routine. Planet fitness members will be seeing it. Lol
Problem with situps isn't the situps, but that the belly bulges out. The solution is in tightening the transverse abdominal (pulling your belly in) and do the situps that way. This is much harder to do. You tend to forget to keep your transverse abdominal contracted. But it's worth doing it because it really flattens your belly a lot.The transverse abdominal is a forgotten muscle. Probably because it's invisible as it has 2 layers of muscle above it.
I have been following your directions for weight loss, Dr. specifically watching all your videos about fasting and the Keto diet. I have to say, I am in shock. I have lost 10Kg (22lb) in less than a month. WOW. I am not getting paid for this comment. It is just the reality of my life right now. After years of being a fat guy, I am halfway to getting back to my best shape. I only have you to thank, Dr. Berg. I also wanted to ask Would this work for weight loss from doing Keto? I am losing weight too fast and It's a little scary.
Thanks for the tip. That is the most stubborn area for fat removal and the skin is wrinkled with fat. For some reason it's hard to get blood flow there to "heat" the fat cells so they shrink.
I had my second child 11 months ago via c section and i have unknowing been doing this to crack my back. I hope im doing it right i want my little tummy back!!
Thank you for this tip. I had a hysterectomy years ago. Because my stomach muscles were cut hip to hip low on my belly, I've never been able to get rid of the belly bump.
I do 4 sets of 25 everyday🙎♀️ Day 1✔️done Day 2✔️done Day 3✔️done Day 4✔️done Day 5✔️done Day 6✔️done Day 7✔️done Day 8✔️done Day 9✔️done Day 10✔️done Day 11✔️done
Sei Zui Have you been doing this exercise? I would love to know if it worked for you. I have had 5 c-sections and that flab I stayed with is horrifying. I am tired of people telling me that I will need surgery for it to go away. Please tell me if it worked for you. Thanks
Jocelynn Silva I haven't had an c-sections, but did have 4 babies and lost 80 lbs in 9 months leaving me with loose flabby skin and a small "apron". I've done this like 4 or 5 times and already noticed a big difference!
Jocelynn Silva . after one week of doing keto diet and this exercise. I finally see a big dif(one week) i had fuor years ago a c sec....my stomach was big. I use to hide it with long shirts....today i'm wearing jeans and my blouse is not that long☺☺
Thank you Dr. Berg! I’ve been looking for an exercise like this for a LONG time! Do you have a video for people (women) like me, who have been skinny all their lives (a few extra kilos in their teens) and suddenly, after 50, in a year they get a 60%?! weight gain?
the12makeit Sorry, I saw this now. I started with Dr. Bergs Healthy Keto & IF & I lost weight REALLY fast & it wasn’t even hard! I directly went to 2 meals per day, no sugar or snacking & I only eat organic & gluten free. I had gained 26 kilos in one year, but it took me only 2,5 months to lose 21 kilos when I kept to this Healthy Keto! & the intermittent fasting works wonders 👍🏼‼️ After 3 days I didn’t have ANY cravings & I didn’t miss candy or snacks! I put coconut oil in my coffee to help me stay full between meals. I can recommend this with all my heart!
@@LitlaLjufa I'm happy to hear that it worked for you. I'm a bit worried about doing keto as many have said it raises cholostrol levels and I'm borderline. I have an appointment with my cardiologist this coming week and I'm going to ask him about keto diet and if its ideal for me as far as cholostrol is concerned. I was also interested in knowing if you did the exercise in this video. Did it help or did you see or feel a difference with your stomach doing the exercise?
Yes, I will do this because I am doing 500 situps a day and twits. Now what about our arms,, bst wings? I have fantastic muscles, but it's covered with the doughy actuslly it's loose skin
OMG!!! TONING THE SKIN THROUGH STRECHES!... THAT'S IT!!!!😝😝😝✨💫😁⭐💫 I strongly recommend not risk abdominals and perinneal toning by Blandine!!! toning SKIN through streches, this is huge!!! THANKS
Thank u doc I like ur video I need ur help am a mother of three and my body whole body is lose I mean sagging pls what kind of exercise do I need to do to tighten up my body?
What about BREATHING? I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference when I INHALED bending back and exhaled straightening up. By inhaling during the back bend, it filled my belly and stretched my skin making it tauter during the movement. I feel it more by inhaling on the back bend but it seems counterintuitive stretching my skin more to tone it. So how 'bout it? Which is better? INHALING or EXHALING on the back bend portion?
Mister Rose If I may answer your question, yoga says always exhale when you bend forward and inhale when you bend backwards. I have been following this breathing rule and i have never had any back pain, lower back pain whatsoever.
Exhale on the effort...so exhale during the more difficult part or at the height of the muscle contraction..at least that's the recommendation for exercise I've always followed..😊
I am about to try this, I have always had a lower belly, and crunches never worked. I am heavier now (currently losing about 1-2lbs a week) and I'm obsessed with tightening my tummy. I'll come back in 6 weeks 🤓 Update: I feel it! My abs are sore and I’m so excited for the next few weeks! (4-15-22)
@@xSunnyDaysx I fell off because it was starting to hurt my back, I was going to try again this week. However, I was constantly doing this for three weeks and my tummy is noticeably higher and tighter. You will feel like you did a thousand crunches 😳🔥🤣! I was filming myself and I think I will continue and post it on TikTok. I’ll do a week at a time and post it in the comments, I hope this helps ☺️!
@@ElexusLovesHerLife I see you are active in making youtube videos. Nice. I will check out your youtube videos and the videos on TikTok. Also make sure you measure your belly an inch above and and inch down from your belly! Would like to follow your results! Maybe you can incorporate the belly videos of ‘motivationaldoc’. He has exercises for the lower belly as well. Most of his exercises are done sitting on a chair. Good luck! You can do it!
Has anyone tried this and had success? Updates?I love I've been doing an workout with ankle weights and have seen improvements. I understand his concept but I will apply this to my own training and attempt at diminishing the lower belly apron!
MICHAEL NEAL I do t think so, maybe a bit but if you want a standing exercise for the lower back, stand facing a counter, bend forward slightly and then lift your straight, or almost straight, leg back. Like you are trying to kick someone behind you, but slowly. Do several reps for each leg.
@@Coo- It went away in a few weeks and all I did was keep my normal routine and put a few rolled up towels under my lower back for 10 minutes a day since I didn't have a foam roller.
