I have a friend , that,s a mechanic for the U S post office which owns a lot of pro master vans & he says the only problem that their having with the vans are the signal lights that,s located in the driver & passenger side mirrows continuely blows. But he says other then that the pro masters are holding up pretty well mechanically.

Does the timing chain if it goes bad have any effect to the ABS system

Well one good thing i can say, unlike Ford vans at least Pro master havent had any factory recalls on their vans. Ford has had three on theirs. Brakes, fuel injection system & drive shaft to rear end coupling.

Greg Wms Yep! That's true! I heard that from one of Ford's Chief Technician in the Ford Dealership in Nevada.

Engine 3.6 is too weak for the van. It can’t maintain on 6th gear and going back and forth all the time and it so frustrating. Diesel 3.0 is very good and powerful engine for this van but it was stopped in 2017. So I hope ram will come up with something more powerful for it. Overall van ok.

Peter Obukhovski I have no problems about the pulling power because I have the V8's of Nissan NV3500. Im hauling 11 fat and obese passengers with their luggages in the trailer for 1,200miles no problem and hassle at all. I mean if you're really an American Brand fanatics you can still go for Chevrolet Express or GMC Savana 1500, 2500, and 3500 they have V8's or Duramax Diesel Motor. And don't you mention the Ford, fuck the Ford Transit Ecoboost V6 is not gonna last for every day torture. Because Ford Phased Out their Heavy Duty Van the Econoline Series. And I wouldn't either go for Mercedes Benz Sprinter because they're too much expensive.

Peter Obukhovski oh by the way pal, that 3.6L Penta Star V6 Motor on that Ram Promaster is also the Same motor thats been on the Dodge Caravan, Ram 1500 single cab, Chrysler Town and Country, and also I think the Dodge Durango also using that same motor, and you were right! It has no power, they're slow! They can't pull.

are you joking? Those cars are sold in europe with 90hp engines, this car has 280hp and you are saying that its to low horse power? Some super cars have a less power

@@dontbesoserious1 that's what I am thinking 280 hp I believe it's been bumped since 17 as well. I am considering buying one looking at a 17. Maybe we need to check the axle ratio on them. I picked up a full size Ford with a 8 ft bed , it had a 4.2 was slow and sucked gas at the rate of 10 miles per gallon. Sold it to someone who drives short trips. On 2017 their may be supetchip programs for them as well. It could be slower due to its mass, its tall and wind resistance may hold it back. But 280 hp is not bad for a work truck. The old 3.9 v6s in 03 and earlier were sick they had 169 hp, you could not even pass a semi. It would have been great if they put the 4.7 in them i know it would have the power

the headlights are terrible there are no led bulbs available . side door will wear out in a year or so..seat is uncomforable as hell. not allot of pull back length not good if over 6 feet. it handles wind well over the ford transit vans.
